Do Dreams Glitter Or Remain Dull

Touching your skin glimmering with the subdued glow
of the August moonlight suggests
that every delusive dream seems real;
if dreams don't have the glitter of stars,
one might as well close his dreamy eyes
and be carried into that world of unfeeling thrill,
only to find out what he seeks lies down below
earth that's hidden from the penumbrae that outgrow.

Do dreams glitter or remain dull?
Only reality perceives them as null,
we, on the contrary, disparage them
with subtle and virtual images
culling them from those memories
already faded into void darkness...
is it really worth reviving them?

Kissing you softly is too delightful,
and seeing you trembling
is a response so inviting;
never did such lips have the sweetness
of whispers multiplying the tenderness
of every touch so subliminal!

Do dreams glitter or remain dull?
Will fantasy transform them into something
more realistic as the senses that tickle fancy?
Are we promised that our joy will be brimful
as that cup from which we drank and felt full?
Doesn't love overflow and encourages the living
to give more without being so greedy?

Remembering being a newyled.
Having our very own, first humble
Christmas tree.
And that special red dress you
were so very sweet to buy for me.
Better a dress, than a sled!

Very little money did we have,
But love a-plenty, I never missed.
With constant hugs, and so well kissed.
Hot buttered, corn, we both enjoyed.
You, my forever huggable bear.
Into your moonlit eyes, I loved to stare.

Suddenly, God took you home.
You are gone, forever, now.
Sailing in the sky, in a grand celestial bow.
Still, I recall our first Christmas, so simple.
Delightful as your twinkling dimple.
One day, to meet again, never to roam!

At the Apple Store

I couldn’t keep on putting off
An update to my phone;
With apps no longer working,
I was in a retro zone.

But when I tried to update
I was rapidly deterred,
For the message I kept getting was
“An error has occurred.”

So I made a quick appointment
At the nearest Apple store –
Walking distance, early morning,
Not a real unpleasant chore.

Though they didn’t see my name
(Despite my confirmation text),
Since the store was very empty,
I became a happy “Next!”

The technician was delightful –
She compared me to her gran,
Who, like me, of any changes
To her phone was not a fan.

Up to this point I was smiling
‘Til the update was complete,
Then things fell apart and suddenly
I had to face defeat.

For my cellular went haywire
And my phone could only work
Within distance of a WiFi,
Not a universal perk.

Which is when they sent in Edward,
Who was helpful, patient, kind
And prevented me from losing
What’s remaining of my mind.

Still, of course, I had to upgrade,
Purchasing a brand-new phone
Which, to me, is overwhelming
(Though I’m sure I’m not alone).

I won’t bore you with the details,
But I left the store at last,
As I struggle with the future,
Me – a creature of the past.

The Prayer

"The prayer"

It was the time when the God almighty
Took rest for a while after creation of
The wonderful world filled in
All the necessity of survival.
Each and everything was
Very accurate and punctual.
He wished to pour the sea of happiness
Into this marvelous creation.
Then the delightful form of life sprouts
By and his divine power of creation.
Though all the virtue he was given into the life shoot,
But in absence of his guidance
All goes to vain.
Having empowered to regulate the societies, the human
Formed the inequalities in their societies
Utilizing their greed and power,
They became as like as the giant.
Oh my lord, why do you leave the earth for a while?
When a moment to you is likely
Crore and crores of years and
Within such an anomalies why are you
Given me such like a soft heart, My lord, and
Engaged me to sing the song of humanity?
Why my lord, why?
I could hardly bear the pain and sorrow
And the great misery of the people here.
I have taken the monasticism, as you wish to,
To spread your divine knowledge
Towards the world entire.
Now I would like to pray to you, my lord
To be kind enough to the human race
And let them come into humanity.
Please apply your divine power to them.
Please my lord, please.
Please let the world to come into peace and
Tranquility.

Hopeless Marriage- Unrequited Love

As I roamed into the steakhouse,
I spotted him slashing steak.
He looked up with his dispirited stare,
His despair coherent to me.
He summon me to take a chair,
He had a anecdote to unfold,
About the day his spouse left,
The day love revolved to abyss.
He delivered her the works he had,
His body, soul and heart,
Her addiction got the best of him,
She backslid; he fell discrete.
Off she went on a spree, appear like,
A daze of narcotics and booze–
When he faced up to her, she said,
"Fine," and ran off–just think
Of the agony it caused this man,
His eyes folded into his face,
Tears so actuate, harsh and brutal
They are salting him in place.
Yet he turns up at the steakhouse,
Forlornness not his thing,
Through those depressed eyes I can declare
He’s longing for happiness, although
Dealing with the tragedy of losing
A woman once very delightful,
A woman now astray in her sadness,
His sorrow under her feet.

The teams from all over the world,
Met down and under the world,
They came from Asia, Africa, Europe,
Latin America, North America, and all over the world.

The Women were young girls, stout and healthy,
In every game, they showed their vigor and muscle,
The expressions of scored goal were portrait kept in heart,
A missed goal was a heartbreak, they still tried their best.

Every game was delightful to watch,
The faces showed the expression of kicks,
Size and stature did not make any difference,
Tackle, passing, headers, and shots, what made all the difference,

Being a sport fan, I salute all the teams,
No matter who won, you all were my winners.

Premium Member When Life Was Perfect

those illusory days which rolled away like sapphire waves !
a dreamlike abode ~
cradled in an alluring landscape ~
a charming swing ~ swinging away innumerable times~
lots of eferevescent laughter, delightful hide and seek,
floating rainbow-tinged paper boats on a rainy day ~
and you ~ you were perfect!

you gave me the world~
a young girl's world full of tenderness and imagination...
never forgot to celebrate our life of togetherness ~
under the canvas of an ultramarine sky,
a panorama of pearlescent clouds gliding by...
among the dew-touched flowers unwrapped at dawn,
which embraced us with a cadence of love...
but, as much you tried, I tried,
that life fell apart,
life was not perfect any more!

can you bring me back those moments?
when every moment was miraculous dew-drops on lotus-leaves,
shaking, quivering... almost disappearing~
fragile, but mysteriously permanent!
you are still perfect~
there was never any other you~

                                        FIRST PLACE

Premium Member She Became Even More Delightful

She was a maestro on stage with her friends
They loved her musical talent and her ability to tell a joke.
She was in her glory here with those who loved her.

One day she met a man and he pretended to love her.
She invited him to her performance, and she began stuttering.
He was throwing disapproval at her with dagger eyes.

In seconds she was melting onto the floor, unsure of herself.
A voice within said “Who the heck is that guy?” We don’t need him!”
She threw out her titties and began living her truth again.

His frowning and glaring worsened, and she laughed, and her titties laughed.
Began playing her truth, telling her jokes, and being more on than before.
Her stage friends were amazed. She had ever been this outgoing and delightful.

So she owes her screaming success to the disapproving man. Right?
Of course not, but he was the impetus, so she owes him a bite of a sandwich
or a cup of coffee with grounds in it.

Premium Member Spring Time Vicarious Experience

Devoid of personal exposure to Spring wonder’s iridescence
I thank God for vicarious experience-fluorescence
Enabling me to testify about Spring’s delightful essence
Through technology with varied media’s presence.

Among the four providentially-created seasons
Spring’s the best, anchored upon scientific reasons:
Moderate temperatures offer freedom from winter-prisons
While granting relaxation against scorching summer-garrisons.

More daylight in the Spring allows much work-fulfillment
Ushering toward opportunities for creativity-engagement
Opening to outdoor exercise routines’ involvement…
For natural Vitamin D enjoyment and health investment.

Watching avian influx eases mental distress
Birds’ melodious songs bring joy of serenity-buttress
Beholding baby animals can vanquish stress…
Like bunnies and ducklings frolicking outside their fortress.

As leaves come back, they mitigate urban heat
Flowers in bloom produce “true smile,” hard to beat.
Growing plants provide vital environmental feat
With fresh vegetables and fruits as nutrition-meat.

Indeed, I praise God for Spring delight
Though I live in the Tropics*, upheld by His might
With His blessings of love, light and faith triumph-height
Spiritual revivals** of new beginning’s plight beautify my Spring flight.

*We only have two seasons in our country: the Dry or Summer and Wet or Rainy days.

**Isaiah 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
