A festive feel in red and gold:
Chinatown deals Goat year most grand.
A splash of will as joy unfolds:
A Chinese fill as cheer attends.
~~~~~~~~~
Our kindred ties forge a fine fest.
Those who are dear gather fond proof:
Our fortunes high in lovely quest.
~~~~~~~~~

Feel fond delight that ushers joy.
Poise favours red in warm sightings:
Feel grand insight in wealthy ploys.
~~~~~~~~~
Now we visit our kin folk here:
Auspicious wit merge with fine stay.
Such festive joy can fill the heart:
A touch beyond primes charming feel.
Good luck funds ploy in brilliant start:
A rhyme upon a springtime fill.
I once secured a mortgage loan, never noticing the date on the statement.* I was concerned about securing a down payment and an affordable payment.
The interest rate was one to die for, it seemed; and the house was both a steal and a dream.
The steal allowed the house to be affordable, and the dream made it incredibly adorable. .
The four words were right before me as plain as day.
It read, "Last payment due on "The Twelfth Of Never". It was as if I was signing so much of my life away.
When I finally took the time to analyze things, my tight-fitting head became filled with steam;
To-die-for interest rates became a never-dying nightmare of a never ending story, and putting the cart before the horse
in pursuit of a house has brought me far too much worry.
So I bid you beware of deals that look like a steal. Be wise to read the details before you close the deal.
And beware of that God-forbidding 'Twelfth of Never', because it can pain your life for what seems forever.
I'm just your happy go lucky and very care free,
absolutely miserable SOB,
who deals with his depression by trying to be funny,
in a comical approach to writing poetry,
as opposed to depressing the hell out of everybody
who may happen unfortunately to surround me.
I don't believe in that old adage, "Misery Loves Company."
Just because I always feel like crap,
doesn't give me the right to make they who surround me also feel like that.
It's true, laughter is the best medicine, but not the very best that can be.
Laughter is the better medicine for yours truly
when laughter is experienced by others but caused by me.
"Tears Of A Clown" is a song that portrays me very accurately,
oh and "I Am A Rock" is a song that was written about me specifically.
Who Am I?
I'm just your happy go lucky and very care free,
absolutely miserable SillyBilly,
who loves absolutely, sincerely and unconditionally,
the entire Poetry Soup community,
who I consider to be, in all honesty,
not only great members of this great site, but also all members of my family.
Who Am I?
... oh crap, I got nothing.
They told me,
"Turn around,
see that black cat
stalking you".
It knows your name
It knows your shame
It's come to claim
your black-jack soul
back in black tonight.
She's Queen of darkness
pawing at the borders
until moonlight bleeds,
in the black kingdom
that daylight never sees.
Prophets sold salvation,
Merchants sold me gold.
Love sold me promises
carved ice-cold in stone.
My dreams come in iron collars,
rusted shut with time.
That black cat keeps the keys
so I'm hunting on her trail.
So I turn, around...
Let that black cat stalk me.
Let her eyes unlock me.
Let her claws unchain me.
Let me free...
LET ME FREE!
Follow the shine!
When heavens disappear.
Follow the shine!
There's nothing left to fear.
The lion breaks your sneer.
The tiger wakes desire.
The leopard stalks the darkness.
The panther lights the fire.
The black cat steals black aces
deals another life.
The black cat knows....
She walks between the worlds,
where broken spirits roam.
She never leaves....
the lost all alone.
She never leaves...
the lonely, on their own.
The tiger broke his collar.
The lion smashed his crown.
The panther flew from darkness
instead of backing down.
The leopard swapped white spots—
for dark red glowing eyes.
The black cat watched them all
beneath forgotten skies.
Follow the shine!
When the last star dies.
Follow the shine!
When the daylight lies,
Every black cat shadow...
is a doorway in disguise.
Every ending sheds a skin.
Every death ignites its rise.
The black cat knows...
The black cat knows...
The black cat knows..
Its darkness
.....IS THE DAWN.
People can only thrive on this wealth scale
With undying faith, we admire our flag
Sullen calm and dearth of prowess prevail.
Just few people groove stanch affluence gale
whilst most all strive tough with null in the bag
People can only thrive on this wealth scale.
We are rivaled with a stern choice trial
A person's rank is viewed by his wealth tag
Sullen calm and dearth of prowess prevail.
Trading rule exceeds all neat deals for sale
Where smash checkers are, indeed, rulers slag
People can only thrive on this wealth scale.
There is a fictive guise dubbed classless tale
Though, our right of recourse has little brag
Sullen calm and dearth of prowess prevail.
With their bogus pledge to clear off our lag
A plush caste is riding blindly as swag
People can only thrive on this wealth scale
Sullen calm and dearth of prowess prevail.
My youth is gone; but my energy and enthusiasm
are still in me making me full of zest and gusto.
At seventy, I am more enthusiastic and excited
about life for every day is a new day, an adventure.
Gone are the days running in the fast lanes, being
here, there and everywhere to get things done.
Or the days when every little things became big
deals making you spin your wheels for nothing.
Now, I just take care of myself, do things on my
sweet time and let little things not bother me.
I am so thankful of just living my life to the fullest,
like a little child, so free, full of energy, enthusiasm.
That zesty feeling makes me spunky to dress up
in style, adding accessories, like spicing my cooking.
Feeling zesty pleasantly stimulates me to do my
drawings with pizazz and delight in sketching them.
It makes me so excited to sing and to learn Italian
songs with correct pronunciations and rhythms.
It gives me exuberance when I dance that people
notice and let me know they enjoy watching me.
Feeling zesty allows me to be zealous in writing
poems to motivate and to encourage positivity.
Feeling zesty shows my free spirit, happiness,
creativity, passion to inspire others to live it up.
An affectatious arsonist announced,
“Big buildings’ burning brilliance brightens best!”
casually cites conflagration counts,
darkly deals destruction, designer-dressed.
Extinguishing each edifice enflamed,
first-rate forensic findings frequent failed.
Grievous, grim goings, ‘geniously gamed;
Hurried happenings, hastily high-tailed.
Incendiary incidents ignite
jewel-filled junkets, jazzed jalopy jaunts.
Kindling’s kittling kiss: knave’s known kryptonite,
Lapping, leaping licks, luscious, lit lavants.
Madness! Marauding mercilessly more,
Nefarious, nursing next novel noir.
Who else in the city staking paper like l am doing?
I have been around the block but the Gucci and Galbanas got me looking kinda different.
People really love me they will be asking for them autographs , l be like no , no l got a flight to catch , no time to chill got to make more deals so she gets more heels just to avoid the feels.
Every time the blues on me l just roll and sip some till my heart tells me yeah let's do it again!
Life has been bumpy ever since l won the lottery, sleepless nights on rooftops blowing dollars like we bowlers , partying on a Tuesday in a suit and spending pounds let the Queen call a meeting!
If this is a dream don't wake me up l am to slumber in heaven.
Pilfers into preachers through my work now that's a blessing.
Used to be a berger , now they beg me to stay but they never wanted me near them until God raised me from the dead!
'Twas the night before Christmas, when...
Oh no, said Rudolph! Stuck again!
The sky is dense and techno-waved,
our path seems wild and misbehaved!
Poor Rudolph stopped in sky midair
and yelled to Santa, we can't fly!
Earth satellites have made a snare
of wireless currents in the sky.
You see, today's advanced machines
are human gadgets called 'smart' phones;
they shop the Web from tiny screens;
airwaves mess up our flying zones.
Of course, they seek last-minute deals
on Christmas Eve, worse time of all,
when we are here 'head over heels'
to bring kids' presents, big and small.
Then Santa answered, use plan 'B'
come down one level in the sky.
Take care and watch! Don't hit a tree
or steeple top as we zoom by!
So Rudolph did as Santa said,
though still, they'd be a little late;
made headway now with deer and sled
where techno-waves had low flow rate.
