You and I are strangers
Obviously don't want any danger
Craving; thirsty and of hunger
Oh! everyone avoid a pretender
You are from afar somewhere
Of which we share something not fever
Camaraderie and ideas so tender
Honesty no doubt a big waver
Maybe in a lifetime once we'll meet
Or maybe will never have chance for a meal
However, If we can settle for a deal
A relationship we can build real
Try to feel, try to feel
Life is like the round wheel
Up and down it does turn
Short or over may give you a burn
Persons everyday come and go
Unto your hands lays the choice
Don't be the unpredictable bingo
Rather humbly be precise...
Friends that we can, forever be
Of pair: A gentleman and a lady
Regardless others say, be steady
Near perfect combination we may be

In the town of Grotzinger there was only one shoemaker left
Old Hanz was known as H to those with long memories of life here.
We rarely ordered custom shoes and boots these days
But we still stopped by for his stories when he was working
what is that? I asked him once upon a time when I was eight.
He explained industrial pliers, cutters, and the cobbler tool kit
Interspersing hilarious stories as he pounded, stretched and sewed
He was happily surrounded by wooden soles and leather heels
It smells in there, I told my Daddy. He nodded because he remembered.
That’s a combination of tobacco, leather, smoke, and H himself.
H had made all of Daddy’s shoes when he was a child.
Made his wedding shoes too. Daddy never wore boots
I made my way to the workshop this morning.
Wondered if it was too early, but H was there.
He was not open yet, but he nodded me in through the window.
His stories were as outrageous and clever as usual; I was home.
Somewhere in the middle,
between organized religion and spirituality:
many question God's existence.
Such doubts fester over time,
for faith fades into despair, once rejected.
The soul and heart are ready to believe:
but the mind hesitates;
pleading for some irrefutable sign,
before launching into a leap of faith.
To some, the concept of God seems delusional:
a combination of myth and fantasy.
And that sense of implausibility:
leaves no room for God in their hearts and thoughts.
And yet, to others, God's presence is undeniable:
believing His love is both eternal and unconditional.
No one can prove evil exists as an entity:
yet, its effects are felt nonetheless.
And though God doesn't conform to our reality:
He remains a source of hope,
inner peace, and moral strength.
Faith offers us the promise of eternal life:
and only asks that we believe.
apple cobbler
yes, I see it oozing with sweet cinnamon sauce
rising from the cracks of the earth pan,
to greet me, smells heavenly.
I can hardly wait to dab on ice cold
frozen vanilla ice cream,
combination of hot and cold
I can get, only from pie and ice
cream or a hot fudge sundae
I do not feel guilty for stealing
apples from my deer; they have
also gotten their fill. They have eaten
more apples than I claimed, actually.
I threw to them each one of the
apples that had brown spots.
And they had eaten a bunch that
got ripe and fell onto the ground
before I got to them.
The apple tree I planted as a neonate
eleven years ago has pleased
the deer and I both today.
I consume my tasty cobbler in a farm hand way,
as if it is my last meal. I am
older, so maybe it is; good for the deer.
The damn still stands at Fickling Mill
Holding water after all these years
On the creek called Patsiliga
Homeland of Indian braves and ladies
Now Patsiliga is polluted
Contains high levels of mercury unsuited
For fish and wildlife unsafe to eat
From these waters take no meat
(Went by Fickling Mill and Patsiliga Creek for the funeral on the weekend. I love the
word Patsiliga(in the Indian's language it means pigeons roosting place). This is
beautiful farming country down in Taylor County. I looked up some info on mercury
and found that something about the combination of leaves and other natural
residue somehow holds onto the mercury. I don't know from where the mercury
has come but the levels that are getting into some fish are not safe. It is possible
that since this is farming country that the mercury comes from the pesticides used
on crops and the mix of the leaves holding it in is the problem. This is not fact that
you can go out and preach but look up info if you want to.)
Japan at War
Japan wages war;
winds bring clouds lullabying
Mount Fuji to sleep.

Note:
Japanese political revolution ended the Edo period (1603–1867), which ended Japan’s isolation from the world. Japan entered a course of modernization, nationalism, and militarism, which eventually led to expansion, military occupation, and colonization of Southeastern Asian countries (Korea, Taiwan) and several South Pacific islands. In 1931, Japan invaded Manchuria, resulting in Japan leaving the League of Nations in 1933 because the Empire of Japan rejected the League of Nations Commission’s findings that recommended Manchuria become a state under Chinese jurisdiction. Then, in 1937, Japan attacked China (the Second Sino-Japanese War), which lasted until the end of World War Two (1939–1945).
On September 22, 1940, the Empire of Japan (1868–1947) entered World War Two with the invasion of French Indochina and, five days later, on September 27, 1940, signed the “Tripartite Pact” with Germany and Italy. On December 7, 1941, Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, Oahu, Hawaii Territory, United States of America.
The season associated with the woodblock print (Red Fuji by Katsushika Hokusai) is between late summer and early autumn, when Mount Fuji appears to take on a reddish hue. This phenomenon occurs because of the combination of sunlight, warmer weather, and melting snow on the mountaintop, and the reflection of red light due to the clear sky and mid-level altostratus clouds.
The Easter Bunny and the Eggs
By Franklin Price

The Easter Bunny and the Eggs
Is such a tale to tell
A wondrous combination
That the children know so well
The Easter bunny boils eggs
And colors them to hide
In trees and bushes in the grass
Almost any place outside
When the bunny's finished
And all the eggs are hid
Easter baskets given
To each and every kid
With Easter baskets tightly gripped
In each child's tiny fist
The search begins to find the eggs
The parents may assist
The question is who had most fun
When all the eggs are had
Was it the hunting child
Or the helping mom and dad
(Inspired by Demetrios Trifiatis' Woman's Day Poems)
At this ripe old age of seventy-eight
Thought girlies would no longer phase me
On the contrary, more now than ever before
A lifetime girl watchers club honouree
A member of the club of leering old men
They still turn my rusty old crank
Just because sometimes I fail to zip up
I'm still pretty alert to be frank
I admit at times I forget to wear jockeys
In combination with failing to zip up
The impact of these two glaring omissions
Cause a furor when playing mini-putt
Sure gather a crowd, thought at first it was me
My rugged good looks and stuff
Soon realized they all were focusing below
Guess it's better than playing in the buff

Life comic-tragic
In the world of magic
As long as there is association
With lower mind & body combination
Recognising that we seek expansion
In an unending continuation
Where lies the summit
Is there any limit
Contemplating thus we may see
Mirrorlessly
That the Universe is our own effulgence
Limitless is our magnificence
Shiva the magician
Maya the illusion
Lower mind the delusion
Our choice: freedom or stagnation
Self illumined & shining
Or in darkness stumbling
This practice asks us to recognise
In a continuum of awareness realise
That on one hand we have the external ephemeral
And on the other end of polarity the internal eternal
It is no test
Yet we may not rest
Shifting from Nirvikalpa to Savikalpa
No enigma
One being awareness of thought, mind begot
The other awareness of energy behind thought
Abiding then in thought free awareness
We unify our being with the That Oneness

I'm a pro-cyclist, and I despise people with flab
So it hurts that my folks don't walk, they'd rather take a cab.
I describe my races at the dinner table, but all they do
Is nod politely and say, "pass the stew"!
I took my nephew Chad cycling, such a pain:
As soon as we hit Salton hill, he began to complain
He asked why I couldn't leave him alone before his PC
Playing video games with his friend Tim McGee
He hadn't finished dungeons, a dragon he didn't yet slay,
How could some dumb trees compete with a world where heroes play?”
I said to my dubious nephew, "you got to get the blood to flow.
"You’ll find in sweat and aching limbs a truth that few will know,
Fresh air and nature beat any pixel combination
Look around you, take a breath, you'll feel a true elation.
We passed decomposing roadkill, Chad grimaced at the stink
But then a dark car passed, I gave the driver a wink
It was Chad's friend's dad, we had made a conspiracy
Chad would have a surprise; we'd meet Tim McGee.
Chad was about to quit but then his cell phone played Maroon Five.
He pulled it out, it was his friend, I hoped this trip could revive
Tim said he was waiting at Dunkin Doughnuts on Salton Hill crest
Chad brightened up, hit the pedals, sailed up the steep road west.
Chad outrode the wind, like a lion on the chase.
I couldn't keep up with him, how could I save face?
I was humiliated, in my mind I was the pro
I guess hard truths in life make a man grow.
We got to Dunkin Doughnuts, with a view way up high
I was wheezing and straining, and I wanted to cry
There was Tim and Chad sharing Cinnamon Sugar Surprise
Chad was just getting started; he wanted a burger and fries.
I had spent years eating arugula and sprouts
Organic fruit, and probiotics, and all those intense workouts
But I was beaten by Chad, who spends life before a screen
I've hung up my bike, life isn't just tough, it's also downright mean.
