I don't remember TRUMAN
And very little of ISENHOWER.
I do remember KENNEDY. "Ask not...";
And a lot about JOHNSON. "Great Society".
I remember NIXON. "I'm not a crook".
I remember FORD who pardoned Nixon;
And CARTER who cried his best to make
things right, and also said he wouldn't lie.
I remember REAGAN. "Tear down these walls".
I remember BUSH 1 and the short Iraqi War.
I remember CLINTON and his sex scandal.
I remember BUSH 2, who toppled Sadam.
I remember OBAMA and the capture of Osama
bin Laden. And I remember TRUMP'S first term
And COVID 19. I remember BIDEN and his agenda.
Trump reigns presently, making many changes.
Schools are closed, there is no mail
And stores hold special sales.
To honor our first president,
That’s what this day entails.
Though technically, our 16th prez
Is celebrated, too.
To make a Monday holiday,
That’s what they chose to do.
The 40-something other men
Who served the USA
As presidents were not awarded
Their own special day.
So sorry Adams, Jefferson,
James Madison, Monroe,
John Quincy Adams, Jackson
And Van Buren – all are no.
Poor Harrison and Tyler,
Polk and Taylor, Pierce and Grant,
Fillmore, Johnson and Buchanan,
Hayes and Garfield – no, you can’t.
Arthur, Cleveland and McKinley,
Harrison and Teddy R.,
Taft and Wilson, Harding, Coolidge,
Hoover, also FDR…
Truman, Eisenhower, JFK,
LBJ and Nixon, Ford,
Carter, Reagan, both the Bushes
And Bill Clinton – not on board.
Last, no day off for Obama.
As to he who’s right now serving,
I can’t think of anyone who might
Be any less deserving.

It seems that some presidents have truly been a catalyst for change. Some good; some bad.

For 75 years Israel has offered peace to her neighbors

There was no 'West Bank' or Gaza, they meant Haifa and Tel Aviv
From ’48 on, Egypt and Jordan have kept Palestinians in refugee camps
And, O, how the pressure from the world has climbed up the ramp
Zionism became racism, Jews the ‘evil oppressors’
In 1956, ’67, ’73, ’82, ’87, 2000, the Arabs waged war and intifadas to
become our successors
Under Rabin and again under Barak, Israel offered Palestinians a state
over 90% of Gaza and the ‘West Bank,’ Pres. Clinton said ‘That’s great!’
But Yasir Arafat said Never! His one and only goal was to kill all the Jews
--It had gotten to be depressingly old news
In 2005, Arik Sharon pulled out of Gaza, no more ‘Israeli occupation’ there
What happened next? Hamas took over, but the world didn’t care …

But after the Oct. 07 atrocities, the game’s up for them

Where are the often, incessant, voices of loudmouth sports figures?
Hollywood Trump Haters, the rabid supporters of Biden, Obama and Clinton?
Silent as those movies of old, keeping low profile, in their mansion bunkers not so bold...
America makes idols of clowns.

When Hillary Clinton lost on election night, she went wild.
She screamed obscenities, she was like a demented child.
She started throwing objects that weren't nailed down.
Instead of accepting defeat, she acted like a clown.
On election day, Hillary and her family prematurely celebrated.
Bill jumped up and down like a school girl but when Trump won, Hillary became exceptionally irritated.
She thought that she had the Presidency in the bag, she didn't know she would fail.
Now she's screaming "RECOUNT!" even though she has a snowball's chance in hell.
Bill went on Twitter and he posted an angry Tweet.
The Clintons are sore losers, they can't handle defeat.

I was your supporter and now you tell me to support Hillary Clinton, you're out of your cotton picking mind.
Several weeks ago you said that she's unfit to be President, you're a hypocrite of the most fundamental kind.
How dare you tell me and your other supporters to support Hillary after you said that she's unfit.
If you were standing in front of me, I would give you a piece of my mind because you're a piece of ****.
I was already upset at you but now I'm enraged because you told me to support her.
You have a lot of nerve to tell me to support that woman, you're a hypocrite and that is for sure.
They hated Nixon for being too formal
though he made relations with China normal

though his own future he was risking
They hated Carter for his toothy smile
though for M-E peace he went the extra mile
They hated Reagan for his patriotism
though he toppled the Berlin Wall, ending that schism
They hated George Bush Sr. for his oil wells
though they cheered him when Saddam fell
They hated Clinton for his sexual escapades
though they let him off the hook anyway
They hated Bush Jr. for his principled stands
though he took down the evil Taliban
They hated Obama for his constant preaching
And they hate Trump for Constitutional 'overreaching'
I hope Joe Biden is ready to be hated
For as the next President that's what fated
