Sum

Either you be good at two things
Or be best at one
A choice to have to only have been
A life in summed

We have to be good at what we do
Can we still afford mistakes at this day and age?
We are growing beyond understanding knew
We have too much answers for a one question’s gauge

Perhaps you do need to be old to see
What the youth now sees as oppose
But the young won’t see how once is to be
Exactly how the old won’t commit as suppose

It’s hard to change beyond comfort
I can understand and I cannot…
We are forced without the given word
Because it’s all you to give thought

Everyone can be good at multiple things
To be a lesser best at one
Have you a look back to where you have been?
To have a life to only sum
……………..

Premium Member Not His First Choice

Growing up he wanted to the smartest kid in class…he wanted his mental capacity to rule…he wanted people to whisper as he walked by…there goes the smartest kid in school.

And, although he was a good learner, so much of what he learned he soon forgot…so as far as being the smartest…he definitely was not.

He was going to be a football star…he dreamed of the sports world knowing his name…he dreamed of lifting the trophy over his head…he dreamed of fortune and he dreamed of fame..

But one has to have certain skills to play football…skills this young boy lacked…so he never made it on a football team…let alone its quarterback.

He wanted to be an astronaut…when he put on his uniform he wanted women to swoon…he wanted the world to proudly watch…as he stood upon the moon.

But he would get all nervous when confined in a small place…and he got sick in the back of a car…who knows what would happen in outer space.

He wanted to be a doctor…a surgeon…a surgeon better than all the rest…the surgeon people called when the surgeon they needed was the best.

But all that studying…all those years of schooling…he knew, for him, would not be easy…and even the slightest drop of blood always made him queasy.

So he found his way to teaching…to help others who forget…who might have trouble with a quiz…who perhaps aren’t as athletic…who had problems similar to his.

And though he never thought himself the best teacher…he was as happy as can be
Teaching his students:
You don’t have to be the best…just be the best that you can be.

A lesson to this day as a teacher…he continues to spread….
Happily living a life he didn’t choose…
a life that chose him instead.

Liar

Don’t put on that face
All love and kiss laced
Knowing your heart
And anger, misplaced

Don’t talk down to me
So secretively
While charming the rest
Yet making me bleed

A Christian, you are
A warm, shiny star
Your words are for me
While THEY give you scars

You give me no choice
I have, not, a voice
I must rot in shame
And bow to your noise

You moan and complain
A relentless, cold rain
It bothers you not
You drive me insane

Then grin at the sight
Of someone who might
Not know who you are
And believe you, polite

You then, bow and pray
As if, your last day
Must be convincing
Or followers, stray

I say you’re a fake
I know what’s at stake
You’re only for show
Please give me a break

Premium Member The Unborn Dreams of a Fertilization 1942 a Long Journey a Long Lived Nightmare Part 3

Life on the edge would certainly become a novel,
if I included all the chapters of my life’s journey
from that of an old soul, from pure consciousness
to egg and sperm colliding, to embryo, to fetus,
to that of a baby, a child, youth, a teenager,
a young adult, a middle aged man, this old man
who has walked the walk of the living and the dead
with ghostly shadows floating in night time forests
blanketed by sheets of blackness, permeated with flakes,
specks of light from distant planets, long lost stars,
forgotten lives, as the reflective moon, on high,
tries to shed light upon the nightly shadows,
brighten the edges of all the black clouds
that fill all the empty spaces above the tree tops.

Life on the edge – I have been tripping – have gotten up,
have fallen from grace, yet stands up to face adversity,
have been trapped, yet set myself free, been lost
yet have found my way back to myself.

Life on the edge – time reveals all, all the efforts,
all the accomplishments, all the failures, the defeats,
and all the losses become weightless in the light,
of an old man who sits alone, on his own locked up
in the cage of his own design, his own making
as nightmares continue to haunt - to the end of his journey.

Life on the edge – has been sharp, dull, keen without tears,
in spite of all that life, fate, karma, choice have lain upon
the experiences this old soul has suffered, endured, enjoyed
and yet the dreams of this child – before and after he became –
still linger on in the fading embers of his life’s journey
even if they are but ashes blown by cold cruel winds
putting out the raging fires that once lit up the skies
and wormed the heaven and the hearts of a few mortal women.

Life on the edge – of this plane, this dimension, this universe –
can it really be as we see it ?, is it karma ?, is it fate ?, is it design ?
Does history repeat itself ?, does it come back to haunt us ?,
in another time, in another place, in a different space.

Life on the edge – next time around – will be a prayer
to never, ever have to live on the edge again,
to know no more emotional pain, no poverty of heart, soul,
the stupidity and thoughtlessness of those in control,
those in the know, of the nature of this old man
who has shown – specks, flakes of light, light that has
burned so bright, has flickered, has long since taken flight.

Wash it off in the blue water, to give to my daughter. A chain I found under a rock, I will wear it with my smock. I found treasures for my daughter and for me, now let's go eat some crackers and brie.

Life Is Like a Hat

HEAVEN WONDERS WHERE YOU'VE BEEN AND YOU ANSWER WITH A SILLY
GRIN. I'VE BEEN MEDITATING ON THE WAYS OF LIFE . THIS IS MY JOURNEY
AND SO FAR, ITS VERY NICE. WE ARE IN THE THROW OF A SWEET NOVEMEBER
AND WE HAVE THE CHOICE TO BLESS THE MEMORY WE OPT TO REMEMBER AND
BRING IT THE ELEMENT OF LIFE AND LAUGHTER. BRING IT HOME TO YOUR SOUL,
THE JOY I MEAN. (B)
SOON THE HOLLIES AND THE BELLS OF CHRISTMAS WILL RING IN THE END OF A
FRUITFUL FULL YEAR. MAKE THE LAST TWO MONTHS BE YOUR HAPPY TIME TO
RECOLLECT AND APPRECIATE THE DAYS THAT HAVE HAPPILY PAST YOUR WAY.
JOIN THE HANDS OF OTHERS WHO LIKE YOU, ARE MORE THEN HAPPY TO BE
IN THE MESH OF LIFE'S BEST INTENTIONS, "BREATHE" INHALE, THEN BREATHE.

LIFE IS LIKE A FLOWER ON A HAT THAT SITS AND WAITS FOR THE WEARER TO
WALK IT INTO THE SUNSHINE. STAND STRAIGHT AND TALL AND BE COUNTED
YOU MATTER TO OTHERS AND TO YOURSELF. LIVE A PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE
AND MAKE LOVE YOUR ARMOR AND YOUR SWORD. WEAR YOUR HAT PROUDLY
AND KNOW THAT NO MATTER WHAT SHADE YOU COME IN, YOUR STILL THE
BEST. (B)
LIFE IS GOOD WHEN WE REMEMBER TO BE KIND TO OTHERS AND TREAT
OTHERS THE WAY WE WANT TO BE TREATED. SHARE YOUR HAT WITH THOSE
THAT HAVE FORGOTTEN THEY HAVE ONE. AND BE GOOD ALL THE TIME (B)

Mastering Memory

Who would have ever thought
All of living could come to this
Mourning over what was
A perpetual state of exclusionary bliss

Pop! Went the weasel, as she moved,
Toward the only difference to give her voice
While he skipped along behind
As the man who yielded to woman's choice

Out from original creation, she came
He, never quite...the same

Throughout HIStory, memory of time
Has scratched on the dotted line
Lie after lie, causing man to believe
Nothing of the original creation
Learning passed new and tantalizing sensation
To bring humanity to retrieve

............................RESTORATION

She was brought to humanity
On cloven tongues, fifty days from ascension
To comfort and teach, maybe even reach
The part of the mind that desire's retention

One span of time was devoted to feeling
The second, the age of reason arrived
When Wisdom looked upon her children
She sighed with relief that TRUTH had survived

.......................treason

In the bed, yes, always in the bed
The majority are fighting off attacks of fear
Some sleep in comfort, with memory
Replaying all the dreams of previous years

Still, there is a remnant.....engaged in battle
Riding to war without a comfortable saddle

.................Mercy riding on Wings of LOVE

It's that line, that ALWAYS leaves void, in the mind
And that incessant need pulling back on the DIVINE

.......................for Pity's Sake............let me at least......................REMEMBER

Turn Those Negatives Into a Positive

Everyday we wake up
We have a choice
To do something with ourselves
Or have no voice (no voice)
Let our obstacles pass us by
Or face them
We've all made mistakes
That can be erased
Or corrected
Get ready to receive exceedingly
Or what's unexpected
One thing I know for sure
With a pure heart
We can endure
Lets find out what the cause is
Turn these negatives into a positive

Look inside of you
See the image
Even if
Its not finish
Make the best of
What you see
Life is precious
And not guaranteed
Let us thank God
Lets resolve it
We can turn those
Negatives into a positive

Have you ever just
Looked at an image
And wonder why
Its picture perfect
Still found a problem with it
Was it worth it
Revising adding the resolution
To the conclusion
Of the picture
Print it out
Cherish the momentum
Something negative
Made perfect
You found out how to capture
No more negatives
You're going after

Look inside of you
See the image
Even if
Its not finish
Make the best of
What you see
Life is precious
And not guaranteed
Let us thank God
Lets resolve it
We can turn those
Negatives into a positive

Cant help what happen in the past
It cant determine
What you have
Been instilled
It just helps
You learn how to deal
With the negatives
Teaches you how to switch them out
Turn them into something you didn't know about
Its beauty
For your future
And your heart
No more not knowing where to start
Positive should surround you
We've all been in dark places
But he found you

Look inside of you
See the image
Even if
Its not finish
Make the best of
What you see
Life is precious
And not guaranteed
Let us thank God
Lets resolve it
We can turn those
Negatives into a positive

Perhaps, it would be Rockwell’s second choice
for my happy home has many different voices.
All around a small man-made lake they walk
proud American’s, multi lingual, they talk…

A maple forest with sweet pine blessing
Whites and Asians, Indians, caressing.
Lovers from all of the many nations
in my park find, content, contemplation.

Children of all colors play like sweet bits
and each and every Grannie watching, sits.
The American dream a joyous reality
a warm, loving place has risen here, free.

So, let new artists and artisans arise to portray
the bountiful beauty of each towns diversity!
