Unforgettable-Based On Silent One's Poem

One day I decided to go and sit in the park.
I sought fresh inspiration and a new muse!
My decision was the perfect panacea done on a lark.
In no way would my spirit this time me refuse!

I sought fresh inspiration and a new muse.
Out of nowhere a cynosure materialized!
In no way would my spirit this time me refuse.
My heart pounded, I held my breath, I was mesmerized!

Out of nowhere a cynosure materialized!
An angelic ingenue was walking in my view!
My heart pounded, I held my breath, I was mesmerized!
This Woman's presence stopped all of time! This is true!

An angelic ingenue was walking in my view!
Both subtle and profound glamour did she possess.
This Woman's presence stopped all of time! This is true!
Dumbfounded and speechless was I! This I do profess!

Both subtle and profound glamour did she possess.
She had a feline lissome movement in her stride!
Dumbfounded and speechless was I! This I do profess!
Bewilderment and inspiration within did collide!

She had a feline lissome movement in her stride.
A demure aura emanated as she smiled!
Bewilderment and inspiration within did collide.
My composure I tamed for this vision drove me wild!

A demure aura emanated as she smiled.
The most mellifluous "Hello!" exited her lovely mouth!
My composure I tamed for this vision drove me wild!
I floated north and simultaneously, I crashed south!

The most mellifluous "Hello!" exited her lovely mouth.
I was frozen in this most ineffable of human states!
I floated north and simultaneously, I crashed south!
Her chatoyant orbs for eyes launched me right into space!

I was frozen in this most ineffable of human states.
What would it take to keep this moment sempiternal?
Her chatoyant orbs for eyes launched me right into space.
I will never be the same outwardly nor internal!

What would it take to keep this moment sempiternal?
My decision was the perfect panacea done on a lark!
I will never be the same outwardly nor internal.
One day I decided to go and sit in the park!

Chatoyant of Seraglio

She shed her clothes; fur and silk first
Petrichor lingered in her hair
Seraglio was the holy-grail
For most women of the enlightened age.
Not for her; Chatoyant lady with her lithe body
Was a warier of her country.
She was here to collect dirt on Sultan Milas
The Holy Mattoto King.

Enchante, she offered her slender hand to
Sultan to kiss
Sultan took no offence
Just kissed her hand, taking her hand into his own
She caught a reflection of his penumbra in the
Crystal framed mirror. Long and tired.
Yes, even his shadow was tired in his later years
Ruling a declining empire was no easy feat!

Sultan’s wives sang lullabies to their tots in the adjacent rooms.
So what brings you here madam? Milas probed the Chatoyant lady
I am here to stay, she said curtly.
As what, forgive me lady? Sultan hesitated
As your wife of course, the lady said. Didn’t my good father tell you?
‘I am afraid that won’t be possible, I have already many good women as my wives
And Myriad sons to succeed me!’
Sultan played with his ruby ring as he delivered
His solemn speech!
“But! I will be the best wife to you! I promise you!”
 The lady pursed her lips.

“Look lady! I can barely satisfy my harem of forty!
Sometimes I seek the aid of my viziers
So that I don’t know who are my sons
And who are my Viziers’s!”

“But I will bear the strongest son
For you, I promise you!” Pleaded the French lady
“I can’t suffer the indignity of going back!” She let a faux tear fall
Freely down her cheek.

A pause.
“OK!” agreed Milas, “you can stay but not as my wife but
my Chief Vizier’s!”
A persian cat walked into the room
And leapt on to Chatoyant lady’s lap
But Chatoyant lady was no Ailurophile
Despite her name! So she pushed the cat away.
Violently. Then the Sultan knew something was
Not quite right about this woman of feline beauty.
Standing before him semi nude.

He was not prepared to lose what was left of his empire
So that he banished the lady spy at once from his palace.
Alas she had already collected the dirt on the Sultan.
His virility and his sons legitimatesy to the throne were in question now.

Quote“Let there be no boundaries. When you lose all sense of self, the bonds of a thousand chains will vanish. Lose yourself completely, return to the root of the root of your own soul” - By Rumi

                   ***********

I sipped from the calyx of core delight,
a dusky elixir steeped in dopamine’s
effervescent whisper—
and the world, erstwhile mundane,
became a chatoyant tapestry
of evanescent truths.

The walls sighed slightly.
Not in the metaphor arena—
They throbbed, aquiver,
With a sapphire auric touch,
each brick is a doppelgänger.
of some long-lost self.

My limbs, once velvety,
turned to lissome vines
waltzing through the horizon
of lush lagoon reverie.
I was hungry for meaning.
but found it a chorus of voices,
amorphous, shapeless,
a palimpsest of pastiche and prophecy.

Time fractured—
a pavonine shimmering
spilled across the sphere of memory.
I beheld my joy,
blithely besieged
by the clamor of disorder,
and still, it twirled.
with emulous passion
in the cottage of my marrow.

Epiphany hard-won
not as a blaring trumpet,
but as an aphonic balm—
a murmurous susurrus
in the riparian streams
of my noetic flesh
I was not ontic, but rather an iconoclast.

I was both an iconoclast and dear.
both amort and zoetic,
a rubicund speck
in the celestial glow
The collective noosphere surrounds it.

The mind—
that winding maze—
offered no panacea,
only a twist of insight
and its evanescent brightness.

I beheld my nemesis.
in the mirror’s moiety:
a charming crone,
disheveled and tenderly smiling,
Her gaze was soft with weariness.
Her voice was gentle and silent.

And I understood—
Awareness is winnowing.
a desultory dalliance
with the unutterable.
To behold is to dissemble.
To feel is to effloresce.

I emerged.
not healed,
but imbued—
a scintilla of the sumptuous,
a fleeting felicity
in the halcyon hush
of the waking world.

Sempiternal Sort of Love-Ten Word Challenge

We had a sempiternal sort of love. We endured nightmares of broken glass and hours of pure bliss. It seemed strange how he loved me the way that he did. See, I was always his cynosure. His daylight focal point leading him into a realm of freedom and relief. When we met I was nothing but ingénue. Oh boy, how my eyes were closed and he opened them and brought my essence to a whole new dimension. I remember that night he held me as we danced. Body to body, hands around my waist and sweet kisses on my forehead. The tunes of “Lady in Red” were mellifluous and I still remember the smell of his cologne brushed gently on his neck. He thought I had glamour and walked with lissome while my delicacy screamed his name. When I was young I was so demure and humble. He always had raging thirst for my chatoyant opalescence.

We had a sempiternal sort of love. I remember the day he came to me and told me the bad news. It seemed like yesterday we had just got married and started a romantic life full of love and gratitude. You were crying, I started crying and we both wept until the sun came up. For there were no ineffable words to describe our sorrow. He was dying…therefore, I too was dying… I didn’t know how I could live without him, my sweet man. For there was no panacea in the world to keep his organs from shutting down. There was nothing I could do to save the other half of my soul. For he would leave me unwillingly and I would have to spend the rest of my days alone and isolated. My safety was delivered when we met and now my fear lives in the core of my heart.

We had a sempiternal sort of love. Now I am nothing but a solitary deserted widow without a reason to live.

This is a ten word challenge given to me by Silent One. The ten words are:

1. sempiternal 2. ineffable 3. lissome 4. chatoyant 5. ingénue
6. mellifluous 7. cynosure 8. Panacea 9. mellifluous 10. glamour

Ravishing Predawn Vision, Return To Me

My panacea, vision shining forth, wee hours of morn
Her chatoyant hair, flowed in my all consuming dreams
Her demure gaze, always smiling, never a look of scorn
In paradise, ingénue bathing in moonlit magical streams.

Ineffable appearance, stardust in hair healed heart so torn
Something intangible, mellifluous echoed with her words
Tasting of honey, her kiss removed my heart so forlorn
Her lissome dance was as easy as mere flight to birds.

Cynosure born, her beauty sent me into a trance
Such glamor, Hollywood starlets would die to possess
In love, I boldly begged for her sempiternal dance
For that affront, my princess gave me her last caress.

Never again, did mornings glow with her grace and soft kiss.
Beauty's perfection, my grieving soul will forever miss.

The Meeting

The glamour of her skin faded
 like late-afternoon sunbeams
that settled on rose petals 'dust

But , not the light in her wide chatoyant eyes
That light was still glowing bright
Like a freshly washed white frock of an ingenue child
A child who knew, each flutter of a butterfly churning deep inside
was to be preserved for this ineffable day.
Today , the day She was to greet 'the one '
Down the valley , by the orchid tree
where minutes ticked seconds and time.

For so long , She waited for this moment
to turn and find him there , to look him in those eyes
Eyes circled with wrinkles of loss and laughter
of many deaths and life.

His demure maiden . The cynosure who filled his thoughts
without even knowing how or why , For weeks, months, and years
Was She there by his side ,or was this another betraying vision
of the lissome lady's smile ?

It was her voice . It was the mellifluous sound of her song
lulling him into sleep. This was not Endymion's dream
Nor an unheard wish on spumes of falling stars.
This was the warmth of his breath upon her neck's nape
It was their once so vacant hearts , beating one to one.

It was their holding of hands, their first promised dance.
A panacea to a long term desease of loss , and loss again.

A new chapter -to be continued.
A sempiternal journey of what little time remains.
Trembling hands ,Scribbling verses on hopskotch
Alll ending with the same repeated names
 and unforgettable joyous refrains.

eyes are soul gates      even in disguise      they do not lie
visual cues that transcend verbal expression

but it also shares one's mood      with lenticular opiates
spanning an effluvium-trail-laden sky

select a person and share eye contact     while whimpering
gaze might betray a false grin          quoth-trust aegis

stupendous azure eyes!     aggregations of night elixir
spellbind the world with      an aura of simmering

wispy pearls in her eyes—soul rises without adronitis
I cross cosmic cloisters and Eden's bright bower

I grip men truths in their odd      dismal ways
the sheer number of words is overwhelming

once cupid arrows hit    a cosmic glow covers the world
glorious       as sharpness of your sight      and dawn dew

her azure eyes purify and calm me      as oceanic waves
no drift inbred    ocean fowls flutter     feel felicity

ethereal eyes whisper to my soul sparkling with glee
pristine eyes hypnosis     a wish for propinquity shine

as the sun rises      shards of light reveal her eyes
dreams sap my mind       cocoons and eyes beguile me

after inhaling and kissing goldenly—all else is plain
all the grace I skipped—in the sun wind and rain

as dew at dawn chatoyant eyes embrace you
butterfly-like in gestalt     despite a sanguine heartbeat

those eyes are as sibilant as the rising sun
they send doves soaring      and senses roaring

some eyes are drenched in love until they sparkle
delphic soul shy—untamed    my love never defamed

grateful for blue skies—for all—and blue eyes for you

Surcease ye flux of basilic imprecations
Adhibit ye ,supernal paracletes

Dead Dance

* this is a challenge poem as set out by Silent One

DEAD DANCE
The chatoyant sky shimmered like abalone
As they gathered around the Infinity Stone.
Calling the spirits of place the master chants,
Ayahuasca the vine sends him into a trance.
His natural wisdom handed down through the ages,
Riding the ‘rios de luz’ to speak with the sages.
Cynosure in this cosmic dance,
No glamour in the shadows where the dead dance.
The Dead Dance.

Between two worlds the shaman walks
And with animal spirits he frequently talks.
He journeyed tonight to retrieve a lost soul
He’d enter the Earth through a snaking hole.
This wounded warrior has seen many scars,
The past and future laid out among the stars.
Most times he’d return, he took his chance,
There’s no guarantees where the dead dance.
The Dead Dance.

With his luminous body he followed the river
And soon came upon a demure, lissome figure.
She was a charming ingénue, mischievous eyes,
Full of the Moon telling Gilgamesh lies.
Her mellifluous voice softened his beast
She promised all of his wishes lay at her feet,
Stay there with her in sempiturnal romance.
No salvation needed where the dead dance.
The Dead Dance.

But this medicine man was stronger than most,
No panacea found in this beguiling ghost.
Tricksters abound in every dimension,
The trick is to not be fooled by perception,
He stayed true to the Path, found the soul he sought,
His mission was clear for his client he fought,
Risked his own life in the strange happenstance
He vowed he’d return from where the dead dance.
The Dead Dance.

I stood in awe as she alighted like a bird upon some branch,
Belisha beacon to the abyss bound clochard.
Bonfire for uncanny scion adrift,
 ignited by her
incandescent eyes.
Chanteuse of Arcadia on song and sound.
Halo at the crossroads, spreading out her wings to scupper animus
and bile.
Mystic lodger earthen yet ethereal,
hoisting every limb aloft from Bern to Betelgeuse.
Limelight vernal
queen blessed by open columns, healer on the arc where tangents dwell.
Silver tiptop finger nails a castanet with magic samba grooves.
In ritual or routine this lifeline Flora,
bright zoetic statue,
magnetising symbol for the bod without a bean.
Silken hands that rock the infant cradle,
quelling fractious babies, saboteurs of sandman’s mythic dust.
Moonlight moths that
flit across the glossy pages sculpted in her cheeks.
Backstreet lantern white knight,
echo in a mirror of chatoyant eyes.
 Cast iron shadow coat tail,
destiny’s de lux edition bound but never gagged.
Damsel on assignment,
ever present vigil, soothing troubled psyches as they wallow in the waters of Lethe.
Nightingale who weaves an ample flourish,
band aid profile minder of a
cobblestone waif,
otherworldly migrant,
window on polluted quarters
harbouring those abject fallen figures,
bane of ghostly ushers when they prowl.
Heroine’s ascension ,
angel flying over heaven’s ladder,
waiting for that moment when her heart has found a home.
