The most valuable lessons I have learned throughout my life was from experiencing pain. Pain has taught me about people, places, and things I should avoid. Most importantly pain has taught me about what not to do again even though I may have had to go around that same mountain time and time again. If it had not been for the painful experiences I faced I wouldn't be who I am today. Pain has pushed me to want to be a better me, and helped me write poetry like the one you see here today. Pain teaches a baby what's hot, and what's not. Whatever pain has taught me, I carry these lessons with me throughout my life. Without the pain Jesus experienced on the cross of Calvary you, nor I would have the choice to walk in victory.
As a babe, he came to this world
yes a babe this Jesus was indeed
this Jesus God of very God was amazing
nobody knew He came to die and bleed
That little boy in Bethlehem's manger
this one made this world, His creation
God, HIs father sent Him down here
to gather a people to be His nation
His purpose involved death and suffering
this Jesus died to pay the price of sin
the sins we all have committed since birth
there at Calvary our salvation He did win
Jesus left this earth for heaven
after defeating death He did rise
leaving His disciples to carry on His work
taking the gospel to gals and guys
Jesus came to save sinners
this is fully biblically true
we are all sinners yes even you
be wise, come to Jesus as you are
Blue-black, purple sky recedes
As dawn peeks out her curtain;
Eyelids kissed by rising sun,
of egg shell white, I'm certain.
I say goodnight to night.
With asphalt tapping under foot
The morning moves another chance
For me to enter into dance with God.
I thought I was alone this morning,
Running in a stillness.
Lost, with cost
Of only air exhaled.
Rising Swirls of smoke
As my engine puffs its lungs of air,
Dismissing yesterday
With all its care.
Without a labour, calm
Alone inside the dawn,
Leaning into nothingness but time.
I found myself
Standing on a bridge,
Hearing distant trumpets then,
Secreting sounds of honking when,
A distant movement shimmered on
A bank of glimmered green.
A flight of motion swept the air
As geese in flight, by morning light
Flew to meet me there.
Six in V,
Approaching me
Between the trees and waters pressed;
As I, with awe undressed
Stood naked in astonishment.
A calvary of feathers fly,
Brush my hair, reflect my eye.
As kinship new,
Inside my hallowed space
They flew.
Carrying off
My lingering stare
To leave me humbled,
Trembling there
Wrapped inside
The presence of
My God.
Can you see where true hope is found?
Will you build your life on solid ground?
Are your hopes based on something sound?
Will you bend your knee at Calvary’s mound?
Do you know how to conquer pain?
Must you stumble through life’s empty strain?
Are your losses to be counted as gain?
Will you bow your head at Calvary’s precious stain?
At the foot of the cross
At the tomb’s open door
Faith will find answers and so much more
For seekers shall find
And slave be set free
There’s mercy and grace for you and for me
At the foot of the cross
Do you know your place in eternity?
Will you accept Jesus on bended knee?
Are your sins covered for all to see?
Won’t you share your hope with those like me?
Can you see where true hope is found?
Will you build your life on solid ground?
Are your hopes based on something sound?
Will you kneel and pray at Calvary’s mound?
At the foot of the cross
At the tomb’s open door
Faith will find answers and so much more
For seekers shall find
And slave be set free
There’s mercy and grace for you and for me
At the foot of the cross
At the foot of the cross
At the tomb’s open door
Faith will find answers and so much more
For seekers shall find
And slave be set free
There’s mercy and grace for you and for me
At the foot of the cross
*~Amber silents, daylight violets;
The charm of a lover’s tender quietness;
*Custom stares;
The glimpses that express gentle care;
*Love comes here;
Between two who truly feel;
*Love is where there is caring faith;
Just as the heavenly Father saith;
*Loves committed grace;
Whatever the two might face;
*A chance we come together;
With hearts lighter than a feather;
*Writing this love letter, caressing rhymes;
Shared throughout lifetimes;
*For all times;
Joys unfold oftentimes;
*Shall we write together "letters" and "words";
Enchanted music meant for songbirds;
*O love of love lets us write nigh...
With all our hearts we will try;
*Come write with me, calvary so lets elaborate,
With true love, there is no reason to wait;
*Shall we, yes we will collaborate...
Let’s pen the date ~
*~Amber silents, daylight violets;
With a love like this, there is no violence
*Custom stares;
Whispers of what we dare;
*Love comes here;
Please bend your ear;
*Love is where there is caring faith;
It never believes of a wraith;
*Loves committed grace;
It gives back without a trace;
*A chance we come together;
Whatever the weather;
*Writing this love letter, caressing rhymes;
Never susceptible to any crimes;
*For all times;
Love for love mimes;
*Shall we write together "letters" and "words";
Never dividing our love into thirds;
*O love of love lets us write nigh...
Together, we can fly so very high;
*Come write with me, calvary so lets elaborate,
We were always meant to create;
*Shall we, yes we will collaborate...
There is simply nothing more to debate. ~

I’m flabbergasted at how the streets are thronged
Could You be the one for whom twelve years I’ve longed?
Oh say, a Physician like no other before seen?
Different from the kind to where I had been?
Could Your timing have been more impeccable?
And Your approach be more unbelievable?
But I’ll undoubtedly put the last of my trust in You
I have much to lose, yes, indeed that’s true
But out of options I’ve finally run
And now even money, I truly have none
So I will find my way to your garment
So You can put an end to this bloody ailment
With an old blood-stained dress
I start out and on I press
I hurry through the deafeningly noisy crowd
Each one giving a careless, yet imploring shout
And it feels like You move further
With every step I take to get closer
“Please, if You are the Saviour”, I think,
“help me to press on, for I’m at the brink
Of breaking down, about to forfeit
I’m helplessly at the mercy of defeat.”
Not only will I touch your garment
But You will make my life to Your goodness a testament
Finally, after pushing past the multitude, I see an open space
To my advantage, in the other direction, is turned His face
Unworthy I am, so I really do not have to talk to Him
All I truly need to do is swiftly touch His hem
The hem of the Saviour’s garment, that’s all I really need
And then from this sickening bondage of blood I’ll be freed
I touch His garment, and it really was not my intention
To in any way catch the Saviour’s attention
I find it strange that no change in me I see
Until that mysterious Physician spots me
And confirms soothingly to my soul
“…thy faith hath made thee whole.”
So not only will I touch the hem of Your garment swiftly
But I will praise You from the bottom of my heart sweetly
Not only will I touch the hem of Your garment as I said I would
But I will ever bear in my heart of hearts to my Saviour gratitude
Not only will I touch the hem of Your garment, but strife
I will, as I hold onto You, Lord, for dear life
Not only will I touch the hem of Your garment with my finger
But in Your presence I will overstay my welcome and persistently linger
Not only will I touch the hem of Your garment as scary
As it may seem, I will cling to You, oh, loving and lovable Redeemer of Calvary
January 2 Scripture Meditations Based on Genesis 4-5
Key Verse - Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME WALK WITH YOU
Thank You, my God, for letting me walk with You by Your empowerment
As You gear me toward fruitful Christianity with my faith’s enlightenment
Surely enabling me to win souls and bring them to Your salvation settlement
While I cooperate willingly in Gospel sharing involvement.
Thank You, my God, for letting me walk with You by Your grace
As You uphold me toward the Great Commission midst prayer-brace
Surely encouraging me to serve You with sincere exultant praise
While I persist along my designated ministry-track race.
Thank You, my God, for letting me walk with You by Your authority
As You propel me toward Your direction of Bible studies’ effectuality
Surely illumining me to learn from Your truths for rich spirituality
While I apply principles of stewardship’s productivity.
Thank You, my God, for letting me walk with You by Your instruction
As You straighten me toward Your standard of character-transformation
Surely exhorting me to disciple others with Your scriptural education
While I present Christ-like example through my dedication.
Thank You, my God, for letting me walk with You by Your mercy
As You invite me toward Your presence of sweet fellowship’s consistency
Surely nurturing me to delight in Your nourishing clemency
While I beseech You for constant revival’s fervency.
Thank You, my God, for letting me walk with You by Your command
As You pull me toward Your deliverance of eternal life’s assured stand
Surely enjoining me to proclaim Your love and peace, joyously grand
While I rescue sinners from guilt-penalty’s tormenting demand.
Thank You, my God, for letting me walk with by Your glory
As You drive me toward Your sacrifice of blessed kindness at Calvary
Surely energizing me to follow Your leadership along declared victory
While I testify of Your sovereign control in my miracle-story.

Music has always inspired me
from my very earliest years
ever since I bought my first record
it's effect was better than any beers
Harry Belafonte's 'Mary's boy child'
was that one I first bought
it was played over and over again
another copy had to be got
The words of that song was inspiring
so much was sown by it's seed
that began a slow eye opener
to Jesus and why for me He did bleed
This lead to remember so well
'man shall live for evermore'
that line wouldn't leave me
till God opened my salvation door
This showed how this Bethlehem babe
was born to die for my salvation
on the cross at Calvary He did
so I could receive my soul redemption
I now have peace and grace within
a song continually in my heart
that boy child born so long ago
lives in me never to depart
At one time foolishness ruled our minds
so often looking back being led astray
disobedient being passionate on one's pleasure
hatred ruled our beings each and every day
Keep in mind regarding authority that rules
make sure you're ready to work real good
never speak evil always gentle to everyone
be polite to everybody never at all rude
Then one day loving-kindness appeared
in the person of Jesus Christ our saviour
He saved us taking our sin to Calvary
due to His mercy to alter our behavior
Washing performed by the holy spirit
of regeneration and renewal as a sign
God's power at work so evident
preparing us for heaven where we'll dine
Being justified by God's grace alone
so to become heirs by an eternal hope
in this, we trust believing in God
holding our grip to our heavenly rope
(Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people. For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. The saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people.)
Titus 3: 1-8 (ESV)
(I have written this piece on the above passage of scripture for it shows the work that Christ has done on our behalf taking us in our foolishness and regenerating us by the holy spirit to be Christ's possession.)

The love God Yahweh has for us is unconditional, no strings attached. His love is not based on our performance, but instead what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross of Calvary. The way we see love is seen differently. Many times our love is based upon what others can do for me, and becomes centered and focused on me instead of we. We are blinded by the circumstance of the challenges that we face instead of building something lasting that will never fade away. Love is everlasting and never does it change. The love God Yahweh has for us is so incomprehensible and far beyond what we can see. The love He has for us is what sets us free.
