Premium Member Flea Market Jazz Vinyl Diggin'

on weekends, Mondays, and maybe Fridays too/
across the Bebop time zones/
people be digging at flea markets 4 Bebop jazz gold/
walkin', talkin', lookin' workin' the price/
on a table way in the back/
I dug into a crate of LPS and found jazz vinyl alongside a vacuum cleaner/
 It was Mark Murphy singing vocalese/
and the young Roland Kirk before Rahsaan was in there too/
both in mint condition for a buck and a blunt/
we all smoked a few/
as I looked out over the galaxy of tables and booths/
I saw the knot of people selling their unwanted stuff/
Man, what a ride to shuck-N-jive about the vintage jazz LPS you can't find/
Miles, Base, Stanley Turrentine, Hampton Haws, and Annie Ross/
are there for the taking' in a jazz flea market vinyl heaven/
come early before the sun up with a flashlight in hand/
 to dig deep into the tables and crates to find a record of Cliff Jordan with sax in hand/
You can dig all day at record stores, flea markets, and online vintage jazz sites/
and not find one 1950s jazz vinyl LP you are looking to buy by choice/
  Man, that's such a drag on the jazz-diggin' society/
my time is up walking through the dusty aisles and tables filled with junk/
 so dig, all is not lost/
I bargained for and got Cozy Cole's Topsy Part One
now I'm on my way to a garage sale I got hip to the other day/
to were back in the day/
 Blue Note jazz vinyl covers had a whole lot to say

Premium Member You're the Reason

Not easy following you,
picking up the pieces
my, how you
wreck with a vengeance.

Not talking just this life,
so many others, no choice
still as mine (the choice), take heed!
come back to me,
'cause, I still follow,
still care, still love.

And I may be the reason
                           you hate pickles
                           and mayonnaise..
                           mixed metaphors,
euwph!

But oh, I bequeathed you my best
the dance of clouds,
icicles..
twizzlers
come back to me,
by choice, all yours
as you release me now.

Been watching over
you,
for sometime..
like a lapdog
ever at your feet
by your side
as you winked.

Until we meet again
m'yeah, just so you know,
as you nod,
I always.., well..
your welcome.

THE SLAVE

The slave is made by force or by choice, the slave some say is a curse.
The slave worships or submits, they choose the path that makes them sick or glad.
The slave has to follow the master, making them slave to things that can be awful.
The slave has needs like food, money, love, and many more unclear, like a tree needs sun and water the slave has needs and gets dependent.
The slave is not always negative; it can be a choice that makes it glad. Like a team that works for good, it has one that is at the head.
The slave is of its environment changing, moving and contributing, like energy it moves, giving it power all of its own.
Lifting prayers to God, today and always on my journey home.

Premium Member Faith Healers

Much of my life has been in the environs of church activities,
some of which found me in the presence of 'faith healing evangelists'.
I do not mean to be, but I tend to be a natural sceptic; so I look deeper.
Therefore, I have often been internally inquisitive of what others say they saw. Even though both their eyes and mine were present, we often saw differently.

Me thinks sometimes we see what we want to see and create our own realities. I am by choice and by Divine Favor a person of faith and live within and outside the box. I am far more influenced and moved by 'the prayer of faith' from any 'unnoticed everyday believer' than by Faith Healers, and I have every reason to believe that The Lord responds to 'the unnoticed'. Moreover, it is the prayer of faith that saves the sick....*

I am much too rational for some and a bit radical for others; so I am not out to please. I have been in meetings of 'Faith Healers', but have witnessed far less realistic healings. I believe that there are bona fide mortals of giftedness who heal through faith in Christ, and I do not hesitate to say that I am often disenchanted by mortals, but always enriched in Christ. It's not that most of them are charlatans, because they are usually sincere in their faith, but I am inclined to believe that there is less substance and a lot more exuberant emotions.

It is unfortunate that dollar signs and the thirst for prosperity have outpaced healings exceedingly. Minus a few bad and ugly apples, my journey in the arenas of Faith Healers have been good. In spite of the misleading, the misfortunes, and the misplacements of 'faithful hopefuls', the True Healer, Christ, still heals. Faith Healing does not have to be denied, nor should all Faith Healers be placed in the same camp. Personally, I have always sought to have 'A Balanced Faith' that keeps me deeply rooted in Christ.

Premium Member a child with no voice

I am a child a child with out a voice

I can talk but I stay quiet by my own choice

I would like to speak out but I am afraid to speak

you see my heart is strong but my courage is weak

If I speak out now and say the wrong thing

you have no idea of the pain it will bring

I will have pain by talking and I have pain in my silence

by not speaking out it is protecting me from violence

Born in to a life with no love only constant abuse

I learnt that in trying to get help there was no use

A life full of darkness with no view of the sun

going in circles with no where to run

I am just a child that has so much to tell

but if they find out I talked it would not end well

I am a child a child with out a voice

but to keep myself safe I say nothing by choice

Home

Home is safe
Home is love
Home is all
the things above

I'd like to hug
And gather round
My arms to keep you
Safe and sound

Home is peace
Not battle-ground
Relaxing sigh, not
feeling drowned

Home you go to
In the end
When running out of
time to spend

In places, spaces
Not by choice
Home gathers in
The unheard voice

But when it's not
Heaven raptured;
When cracks appear
And joy lies fractured

Is it truly
Home at all
Or just a place
With prison wall

Home is home
We call it thus
The perfect refuge
For all of us

Wanderer

A chill runs it's path along her skin
Feeling it start to deepen
A howl it's agony spoken clearly
Hanging her head she moves on wearily
Nature's presence heavy within the night
As that thought came fireflies roam their tails alight.
They never cease to amaze me can't help but smile
Imagining what they must feel like as they travel lifes miles.
Just buzzing along and every once in a while
Without control or thought their ass lights up see you gotta smile
Crickets hoppers and frogs all speaking of their woes
What could they possibly be saying, no one knows
That's how nature rolls
And how life goes
Each living thing comes to life without a well defined plan
We scrurry along until on our own we stand
Then again we travel thru this life and whether by choice or demand
We leave again, off to wonder wonderland
Who knows where the next breath will take us
But whether by car bike cab or bus
Our final destiation is the same for we all travel back to dust

Note the sure way of a bold pact;
Appoint true hearts to glimpse a glow;
Ripe moments play when courage acts;
Rise with strong start to seed grand show;
Ask to live fate by choice you voice;
Trust that you can achieve your best;
Inspire a state where faith meets choice;
Voice daring plans that fund brave quest;
Evoke feelings that help you live.
Value your craft when things get tough;
Opt for loving with all you give;
Intent feeds draft when life feels rough;
Charm knows a zest that never stops;
Expect the best and blaze through flops!

There begins here in timeless now:
Love steers good cheer... being endows!

There is a tale that conceals truth;
Beyond this veil, ample with proof.

There is a void clearer than most:
A nameless void that transcends boast.

There is feeling where no words touch;
No explaining can cover much!

There is a blur that knows all stuff:
All-knowing blur that shapes all stuff.

There is a voice that speaks so soft...
If I by choice heed what's aloft?

There is a sense of knowing, still...
Beyond all tense, a divine will.

There is a song: strains of beauty
Where truth speaks strong in ecstasy.

There is a place: beyond, within...
Where time and space collapse, unseen!

There is a smell fragrant with peace
Beyond mind's spell: love floods all ease.

There is a scent fragrant and grand
That heaven sends to ease ascend.

There is a sound: eternal, true
That hints and grounds, and calls to you.

There is a glimpse where stillness peeps:
Void beyond dreams... deeper than deep.

There is a pulse beyond this rhyme
Where no impulse can match each chime.

There is a gap where sleepers know
That strange sure map that knowing knows!

There is a time, timeless not frail
Where pulse and rhyme can't walk the trail.

There is non-sense that contains all --
All save pretense; where ego falls.

There is a naught that contains each
Yet void or naught that's hard to reach!

There is no-thing that holds all stuff
In change and fling, more than enough!

There is a place beyond this face
Of worldly pace, beyond all space.

There is a fount cascading all:
Where plain and mount change, falter, fall.

Here wayfarer, now homeward bound:
Be true seeker, watch what comes round!

Here light-bearer, set your true sights:
Know wayfarer, witness the light!

There is a bliss: no body-mind...
Not that, not this! Here love designs.

Follow your heart, let mind be calm;
Let soul impart true hymn and psalm.

Follow your feel, in-sync with soul;
Love comes to heal, to make you whole.

Be bold, be brave, be true to you;
Be seer, be knave, be simply you!

Incarceration's Abyss

There are so many trapped
and tortured souls in this
desolate place.
We are ghosts, screaming for freedom,
darklings, crying for light.
Never sure how to grasp onto
something invisible,
without strangling it.
Even before the cold bars
made of murk and gloom
there was no hope,
only bleakness.
Now "lost'' takes on
a greater, deeper meaning
for us here.
Lost in the abyss of incarceration,
groping for strands of liberty.
Deprived of human spirit,
Forbade femininity, devoided masculinity,
By force at first,
But by choice over time.
Resisting may seem futile
Do rebel my Sisters and Brothers,
Insurgence is necessary
to rise and revolt!
But do not rise against "them",
Rise against your darkness
against your self hate,
your intolerance of others,
against your deep seeded fears.
For hope my Friends, and
the only way to survive this cage
is to Grab tight the Light, all your Strength Hope and Love
For it is the only weapon against
The descending into the the Darkness of the Abyss
