Home

Home is safe
Home is love
Home is all
the things above

I'd like to hug
And gather round
My arms to keep you
Safe and sound

Home is peace
Not battle-ground
Relaxing sigh, not
feeling drowned

Home you go to
In the end
When running out of
time to spend

In places, spaces
Not by choice
Home gathers in
The unheard voice

But when it's not
Heaven raptured;
When cracks appear
And joy lies fractured

Is it truly
Home at all
Or just a place
With prison wall

Home is home
We call it thus
The perfect refuge
For all of us
