THE UN-BEETABLE BUG

Simplicity, elasticity, beauty in the thirties,
not like some sedans, ugly and beastly

This popular car and it's history from the past,
from it's World War two template, it sure did last

How many know why it's being came to be,
a car for the German people, to what you've seen

The Sixties starts the decade of the Summer of love,
unique form of the bug fits these times like a glove

Born in Germany in yellow, black, blue or white,
but see I desire the color red so alluringly bright

Won't you agree, it looks sexy, pretty and nice?
This models size and style sparkles to burst some spice

Its voluptuous rounds makes it friendly and sleek,
to busy roads and highways surely it can easily sneak

It may look slow but I tell you: you are wrong!
This small car runs like the shooting star song.

Alongside trucks or vans, it doesn't tremble a fear
as when I turn the key, horsepower shy with its gear.

Easy so easy, I can turn the wheels to any curves
soothing so soothing to my sometimes worried nerves

Many a design of automobiles will pass
but hey, my red Volkswagen still holds the class.

The "un-beetable" Beetle bug definitely hits a big shot
to a parking lot you can easily save her a spot

Premium Member You'Re Country

He looked at that boy with pain in his eyes
and said I'm sick and tired of seeing all of
these lies

So you went away from home for a little while
and came back here bumping a brand new style

Looking at you now the answer's real clear
You must've ended up somewhere north of here

So I guess it's up to me to get you back to your roots
gonna put your ass back in some cowboy boots

Because you're country that's the way you were born
You're country heading back through the corn

It's a simple way of life around here
where you work, sweat, and bleed and never shed a tear.
If we don't do it, it won't be done
not everything in life is about having fun

I see you over there walking down the street
spent a pretty penny showing off your feet

By the way you're running you should've bought some cleats
Trying to run out of here like your at a track meet

You're a real big shot that what you think
putting all your money in a federal bank

But that ain’t the way we do it around here
we burry our money in an empty jar of clear

Because we're country that's the way we were born
we're country heading back through the corn

It's a simple way of life around here
where we work sweat and bleed and never shed a tear

we wake up early an go to bed late
no we ain't got time to procastinate

You come up to me and ask my advice
I look down at you and I don't think twice

Boy you need to slow down and catch your breath
you got us all worried and scared to death

we all remember that fire in your eye
and I don't believe that you've let it die

Because you're country that'd the way you were born
you're country heading back to the corn

Premium Member The 40 Year Plan

Here are the lyrics:

Got a dream that seems so far
With just himself and an old guitar
Taking a ride to a roadside bar
Plugging in to be a big big star.
Chorus
Just a young man and a 40 year plan
And workin that plan day and night
Cause a wife and child wont let him be wild
Got his whole damn life on the line
But dont cry for this man
He's making his stand
Cause the 40 year plan is goddammed lie

Ain't looking to rob no one
But been working two jobs son
Ain't enough week left at the end of the money
Man he's laughing but it ain't funny
When you're working a 40 year plan

Bossman calling at 5am
Gotta find them keys man
Little one's sleeping all upside down
Old lady passed out from a night on the town
She's working the 40 year plan

Got home just a little late
Trooper pulled over on the interstate
Talking bout smelling some beer or some moonshine,
Step out biy and walk the line
Cause I'm working my own 40 year plan

But tonight's a big shot
Give it all that he's got
Put a tear in aone young girl's eye
Break out of the plan this time

The Werewolf Banditos, Part Iv

IV.

As the werewolves all funneled to that narrow gorge,
the brush was pulled away, revealing a cannon’s bore,
the beasts were to furious to see they were caught,
Bob pulled back on the cord, fired silver grape-shot.

Small spheres of silver shot out like a big shot-gun,
carpeting the eight monsters in their frantic run,
the beasts were thrown backwards, the silver cutting deep,
only one of the monsters managed to keep his feet.

The rest all went down, with painful howls they died,
the survivor couldn’t walk, but he desperately tried.
Sol turned and looked down, at predators turned to prey,
and saw the last survivor wore the vertebrae.

Sol turned to Bob, motioned to the dying monster,
said,”After what this fool did, none would call in murder.”
Bob took out his gun, and with his heart thumping fast,
sent Alamo Rick to hell with one mighty blast.

And in the moonlight they saw the bodies returns
to the forms of men who had met the fate they earned.
“Deals with the devil always seem to end like this,
it all starts out with power, then leads them amiss.”

It was the next morning when the town all came out,
the sight of ruined bodies snuffing out all doubts,
some thanked Sol for his courage, but some were afraid,
some called him a mad killer, while others just prayed.

For several weeks after Sol remained in town,
he slept with the line-girls, drank lots of whiskey down,
until one day a post-riders gave him a small slip,
he frowned and prepped his horse for a very long trip.

But before he left, he came up to Bob Harney,
said,”Write to this address if you ever need me.”
Without another word his horse loped down the road,
Bob watched him, not knowing where the man might next go.

The reverend found him their, and saw his confusion,
said,”It’s his job, and he’s done it for a while son.
Did you think only evil can flew its power?
That God would leave us alone in our darkest hour?”

He clapped Bob on the shoulder, and left him to his thoughts,
pondering what he’d seen, and all that they had wrought.
Bob folded the address, slipped it into his vest,
and headed back towards his house, in need of some rest.

I am dreaming
I am fantasizing
On how I want to put them in your face
Oh! Nate, my fate,
they are a set
I use for bait.
Just sit down,
have some coffee.
No need to talk,
tell me if you like what you see
Give me the wrong look,
and I will slap you with thee.
Okay King Mandalay,
It's with me you want to play.
Come on don't be shy follow me inside.
Not a single word I want you to say
Now close your eyes while I go hide.
You are now in a game of hypnotized
Babe, do not expect a quick ride
I will take you on my wild surprise
If you tag me, you can have me.
We can play another game of slip and slide
King of mine I only want to play my way.
Lets forget about everything,
Lets enjoy a slam bam you started today.
I enjoyed the tapping of your ding.
With your words that took my breath away.
How about you toss an awesome E-mail
Explain what about me you want to nail
Okay My Sweet now its time to sleep
By morning time, you will rise and shine.
Awaken with my set upon your face.
Oh ! Yes I am going to make you mine.
Before I have to leave your place.
One more time I give you permission to climb.
And finish invading my private space
Now I am done fooling .
Why are you still drooling
Time for you to get some cooling.
Why are you stalling.
I already gave you more than a smoke.
Tell you what
Continue to keep your mouth shut.
Something with you must be up.
Go ahead lets start over,
No need for you to be a big shot.
I will be nice to the roll of the dice.
To see who ends up on top. ((cq+cq))

Honoured to be invited to speak at a one day workshop,

I survey the audience to decide when the lecture should stop.

We all agree that 10am is a good time to take a break,

I commit to sticking to the schedule for everyone’s sake.

As a professional lecturer, I’d flown a distance to speak,

They audio and videotaped me after I gave the final critique.

We broke for morning coffee, I slipped off quickly to the bathroom,

After completing my task, I pulled up my pants and felt doom,

Seems in my rush to relieve myself, I just completely forgot,

I still had my microphones on, I guess not such a big shot!

I suppose the usual suspects,
should fill up this poem,
City of lights, ancient pyramids,
colosseum in Rome,
To be honest I seen all these places,
sitting playing the slots,
Yeah we’re talking Vegas baby,
sin city, I’ve given it a shot,

Been up the Eiffel Tower,
Bellagio fountains down below,
Viewing the Sistine chapel,
in Venice along the same road,
Look across main boulevard,
I see Caesars palace all lit up,
Just outside on the strip,
Elvis sings through a begging cup,

Passing the cosmopolitan,
New York springs into view,
Must go by the crystals first,
still looks sparkling new,
On second thoughts cross over,
go shop the miracle mile,
Planet Hollywood rises above,
looking a bit retro in style,

Outside it’s baking hot,
have you felt that Nevada sun,
Cool vapour blows from
roadside bars, I do not shun,
Next day into the stratosphere,
ride the big shot atop,
A thousand feet over Vegas,
screaming will it ever stop,

Later up or down to freemont st.
cannot tell I’m totally lost,
Craziest place I’ve ever seen,
little sleazy by default,
So that’s my bucket list,
everything’s now crossed off,
World under one roof, pretty sad,
yeah well! go ahead and scoff.

Love's Child

Love's child, reconcile
'Though your dreams are falling apart
Love's child, catch a smile
And hold it in your heart

Well, she came into the Southwest
With a broke heart and a torn dress
Never reaching her Hollywood dreams
From a dusty desert bus stop
To the Old Man at the truck stop
With a kindness that she'd never seen
And she worked as his waitress for minimum wage
Pretending each table was her center stage

Love's child, reconcile
'Though your dreams are falling apart
Love's child, catch a smile
And hold it in your heart

Well, he came down from the Badlands
With a broke heart and a bad hand
A young artist with no masterpiece
Serving coffee and cold pizza
There he saw his Mona Lisa
Inspiration in him was released
And he painted Ramona On The Whispering Sands
And on occasion with a sweet kiss
She would lend him a hand

Love's child, reconcile
'Though your dreams are falling apart
Love's child, catch a smile
And hold it in your heart

Well, she came into a new world
A sweet bouncing eyes of blue girl
And she grew with a song in her heart
The Old Man cooked and Mom served tables
Daddy helped when he was able
And every night she would play on her guitar
And she sang a sweet song 'bout the Whispering Sands
Until some big-shot on a pit-stop
Signed her up with his band

Love's child, reconcile
'Though your dreams are falling apart
Love's child, catch a smile
And hold it in your heart
Yes, hold it in your heart
Down in your heart

Twelve royal labors, you faced each challenge hard and mean.
Claimed delicate favors; made good on stripping a warrior queen.
Amazon rider, you jump her bareback as you please.
You get soul deep inside her with the pretty lady on her knees.

You’re never idle, vanquishing lions, and hydras of course.
With harness and bridle, spurring Hippolyta on like a horse.
Amazon rider, you’re just a big shot bully boy.
Sitting firmly astride her is the only thing you enjoy.

Don’t you get tired of being such a tool of the gods?
So self-admired in parlous quests against the odds.
Amazon rider, I have to say I’m not impressed.
You're a cornered spider spinning your ego’s manifest.

No Love In Montreal, a Hockey Rivalry

Saturday, February the 14th of the year 2015
It's no Valentine's Day in the Great White North
It's the big Hockey Night in Canada
And to these fans, it's a night of epic rivalry

Saturday nights with the blue and white
Trying to play with all their might
Saturday nights with le bleu, blanc, et rouge
Trying to play all the way through

When the moment the puck drops,
A person's normal heartbeat stops
When the instant the puck hits the ice,
A rival's heartbeat is anything but nice

Toronto Maple Leafs - the long shot team
Will bring their honor to battle for this rivalry
Montréal Canadiens - the big shot team
Will bring their torch to burn on this rivalry

Two teams will battle for a victory right
Only one team will have victory upon being loyal
As for this Valentine's Day hockey night
There will be no love in Montreal
