Have you ever stopped and asked yourself why
So many people on the Internet seem to lie
Instead of complying and relying on
What lives deep down inside
To spin their awful lies
That forces us to amplify
Because at the end of the day
A lie is still a lie
No matter how much you cry
These people think they are so sly
Betting that you will not pry
They only want to tell you enough to get by
How they think their story is ever going fly
Sooner or later you know
They are spinning a lie
Cant, they see it leads to our demise
Don't they realize any Internet lie
Always leads to goodbye
To their surprise, some of us are so wise
We see it's all one big disguise
Having to rely on what I know eye to eye
I'm the kind of guy
Who is always going ask why
You feel like its ever okay to lie
When I told you none of it would fly
If you cant back up what you say
Why did you bring me all this way
Just to treat me like prey
If you have no intention of being what you say
Oh Lord I pray
That it's not always going to be this way
I long for the day when the Internet
Can be like someone you just met
Instead of so many
Who makes it full of regret
Rather than a beautiful sunset
I won't let it discourage me
That kind of women just don't see
How important their word must be
To land a guy like me
Out of order is my pc
Awful thing to happen to me
I try to judge poetry contests
Impossible on iPhone I confess
Admin says soup made for computers
Makes me feel like a big fat loser
Indeed I lost fuchsia flexibility
Lost files in my purple cemetery
That’s where in my old files
I saved old trash poem piles
Poems gone before saved to iCloud
They weren’t good but I miss them now
For they were like mind flowers
Some weak discreet some with power
I guess they are also like a diary
Full of secrets writes wrongs dreams
Out of order no television or pc
I’ve a phone a home and peace
Waking up, I'm shaken by an awful thought:
it's not a sunny February morning,
but heartwarming wishes on Facebook
alleviate the anxiety of a gloomy feeling
to enliven the mood and be immensely grateful
to God and do what is worth living for, but
is the state of being old that word so painful?
Should aging looks be an embarrassment...
comparing me to a frail Captain Hook
who sailed in rough seas without fright!
People I run into stare at me strangely and guess
my approximate age by the fine line and wrinkles,
but they don't see how young and virile I am inside;
if perfection and handsomeness are the advantages
of the younger men to pursue women and attract,
what are the disadvantages of the older ones?
Is the perception of an enfeebled body a horror to hide,
or an accomplished milestone to make an impact?
Verse I
Lots of things have changed lately: if feelings
change, so do emotions with their heartbeats;
you have been calling every single shot,
and took advantage of this poor Camelot!
Chorus:
Is a person still powerful and cruel with fading alchemy...
performing another spell on me without any certainty?
Verse II
You must have the soul of a heartless Brute
to stab me twice and let me slowly die;
is there any way to settle this dispute:
that deceptive truth has become atrocity!
Chorus:
Is a person still powerful and cruel with fading alchemy...
performing another spell on me without any certainty?
I stand in this corner silently,
letting you take the lead and suffer;
there's a lot of pleasure from your devilish words,
when I rebel you hit me hard with revengeful looks,
and as strong as I am, I never dare
to get even knowing that's too insanity;
I wait for an open window to breathe air
and plan an escape from this nightmare!
Chorus:
Is a person still powerful and cruel with fading alchemy...
performing another spell on me without any certainty?
Verse III
Your days of cruelty and vengeance are finally over,
you have surrendered and begged for forgiveness;
I have the chance to call all the shots and make you pay.
Was I that crazy to do some awful and insane things,
it wouldn't make me human, only boost my ego of anger;
we have the same faults: we need to get rid of hostility!
He introduces her as his first wife
As if there are many more yet to come
For over fifty years now
He’s had this silly fun
She goes away on some weekends
To catch up with her friends
He says she’s at widow practice
His joking never ends
Seven children they have raised
One, too early left this world
Now over a dozen grandchildren
Add to their life some special thrills
He says the marriage will never last
They are too much not alike
She just shakes her head and smiles at him
As another day turns into night
They have reached their autumn years
These two peas in my parental pod
When he repeats his many awful jokes
We just give her a knowing nod
They let me down
now put me down
harsh views of me all around town
no one has seen me or heard a sound
I fell down in a pit of trouble
wasn’t offered a hand or a cuddle
snowballing mind evermore muddled
an additional “you lie” ball to juggle
In my struggle they say I’m pathetic
no one looks and no one gets it
brainwashed sure fake’s projected
you took my life and chose to wreck it
Believe a false reputation to justify
treating a guy a joke and sly
Clown to laugh at because he lies
open up your stupid eyes
I conclude you don’t even care
I helped you and I was there
now I act unkind unfair
you think it’s come out of no where
Think I was denied attention and now seek more
when did I want attention before?
Fighting a battle you give me a war
and I’m being eaten away at the core
Was a people person kind and thoughtful
then people treated me unkind and awful
an act for an act and the acts reward
answering how you answer my call
since you’ve seen the new me
not the guy labelled comically
which you helped kill setting free
this guy living life selfishly
Now like you yet can be the old me too
but I'll never be him when I'm around you
you cared so little and haven't a clue
why I am now so hostile and rude
"The wound is the place where the light enters you". - Rumi
Who truly knows real pleasure
that has not known true pain?
With love, wealth and good health,
what more is there to gain?
What need has man of God
if grief he has not known
or if awful suffering
he never has been shown?
God’s light for pleasure seekers
who want only their druthers
can't even a glint be
if they give no thought of others.
To understand humanity,
one needs to have a heart,
and having one’s heart broken
is a good place to start.
Once having been wounded,
one’s heart is open to
the woes and needs of others.
Only then will light get through.
"Go ahead, make yourself comfortable,
contemplate, whisper secrets to momma moon,
let me read you and we will phase out this bad
luck you been having, real soon.
Momma's confidence, anonymously
reflected in the night sky,
moonlighting from her day job,
as performance muse, child.
Honey, there's a reason, why.
Her stars, like diamonds, strewn across a velvet counting tray.
Been cheated upon by every skguy.
I "been around the block honey",
seen a few things, especially that Gaia wouldn't want repeated, about
orbits and tractor beams.
Her waves crashing like a heart pounding with desire,
pulling men deeper into her depths,
like a siren, especially with sailors embarking
her Bermuda triangle, circle of fire."
'Don't get me started on the Swiss Alps.
Oh no, let's not go there!"
"In her baptism of salty tears
and resolute surrender, uhh uhh!
is an ever-changing batter of emotions, my dear,
beneath the layers of society's masks,
stratas straddling a variety of contexts,
Lodges, secrets.
Mmm hmmm. Karma Sutra.
That's where we could be goin next!"
Relations, ships, tides, so complex.
"But let's talk about you, inside you
lies a battlefield of emotions,
awful powerful voodoo,
where vulnerability dances with strength,
but she chooses to go volcanic and blow her stack!
Oh, sorry, we were supposed to be talking about you,
honey child, let's get back on track.
You see, I guess with her holding it in,
what can you expect.
It is in the broken that we can find beauty, though,
igniting strength in the depths of vulnerability."
To Be Continued, Baby!
The hardest words
I remember,
the day I met you...
All those years ago,
I remember,
the smile you gave me...
My heart was all aglow
I remember,
I couldn't believe that,
your eyes,
would reflect in mine,
I was so lost and alone, but
you found me...
just at the right time
It was always,
so hard to tell you
the words,
I wanted to say...
but, my love for you,
was so strong...
I found the strength,
to say them any way
I love you,
was so hard to say
the first time that I told you
I was afraid,
you wouldn't feel it,
feel the same way too
Chorus
I remember, the hardest words
I remember, the I love you's
I remember, the hardest words
sorry was one of them too, but
the hardest word, I could ever say,
I couldn't say it ...even if I tried
Yes, the hardest word, I could tell you
was that awful word... goodbye
I remember that day, we argued
It was oh, so many years ago
I had to tell you, that I was sorry
I was so foolish, that much I know
You said that you forgave me
that was the best thing I ever heard
That was the hardest day of my life
and sorry was the hardest word.
Chorus
I remember, the hardest words
I remember, the I love you's
I remember, the hardest words
sorry was one of them too, but
the hardest word, I could ever say,
I couldn't say it... even if I tried
Yes, the hardest word, I could tell you
is that awful word... goodbye
Your body just grew weaker,
weaker, with the passing of time
So many years we spent together
Guess your song just ran out of rhyme
Bridge
Now I don't know just... what to do
Tell me, what do I do now...without you
Chorus
I remember, the hardest words
I remember, the I love you's
I remember, the hardest words
sorry was one of them too, but
the hardest word, I could ever say,
I couldn't say it...even if I tried
Yes, the hardest word, I could tell you
is that awful word... goodbye
Repeat chorus
fade

II.
A politician just said to her crowd
what need have we for a border?
It’s a good thing to help poor folks in need,
we should let them all come over.
Even thought cartels control who gets through,
and subject the women to rape,
then off the choice ones as concubines,
dooming them to an awful fate.
And even when most of those foreigners
flagrantly violate our rules,
take people’s jobs, undercut all our laws,
yet lefties still think it’s all cool?!
Now they want us to pay for their health care,
when we cannot afford the same?
It’s fair to say they’re not on our side,
the left has gone friggin’ insane.
