from afar
the dark flows
pride
beholden
before chance
hearing
the call of love
then
notices the sunlight
&
feels its wonder
weeping
behind a cloud
years of
decay
with its neighbour
care
is pleased to answer
with
supreme surprise
curiosity
appears
unfettered
yet
perplexed
by choice
uncurls
in fear
yields
to sleep
impulse
is flattered
&
pretends
to displace despair
&
doubt
excites &
invents
nerves
to blight
all life
today
conceit
possesses the staid
provokes
change into
flight
where concern
stands
discrete
splashed
by peace
&
found at dawn
in belief
reason laments
the night
begins&urges
the
spread of vision
dressed
by
the good
on
the
brow
of mankind
brevity
discovers design
innate
yet
as an impulse
comes in
ahead of purpose
a gift
to flood
the future
thought commands
&
dominates
talk
forsakes merit
aloft as
vapour
descends
to the abode
of sound
attends
the dance
to
partcipate
with
charm
once forgotten
I say unto you, when the olive branch is brought to the tax collector, let not those who are without mercy be sent forth from the well to offer comfort to the thirst of the brethren who linger by the hearthstone of the humble shepherd. Do not fill old wineskins with a new vintage without first giving thought to the psalms and parables from which they derive. In order to heal the sick and bring sight to the blind, the first harvest must be dedicated to the Great Whatever.
Therefore, do not leaven your bread earnestly while you bury your talents beneath a bushel. When the faithful servant of the rich master attends the wedding feast of the ten virgins, should he not first forgive his debtors and replace the barren fig tree of the elders with fruit of the prodigal womb? Pharisees and Samaritans have a greater chance of threading the eye of the needle than does he who labors in the vineyard of an unjust steward.
Know ye that all manner of men may seek to sow their seed in fertile soil, but the seed that grows secretly will remain unknown though it multiplies a hundredfold. Therefore, take the beam from your own eye for the sake of the grieving widow. The alpha and omega shall follow you days without number. Loaves and fishes shall multiply in the net of the fisherman and he who proves deserving will be granted admission to the first ward of the Temple.
On this occasion then, let us remember that not even the least of God's creatures shall be excluded from the eternal bliss of perpetual salvation in the unending glory of the guiding light as the world turns from the edge of night in the search for tomorrow and the Lord exclaims, “All my children shall be forever free from the dark shadows of the secret storm." We have but one life to live. The days of our lives are numbered. The young and the restless must not allow their love of life to lead them to another world where false prophets are not abominations in the eyes of the most righteous. Praise be to the Lord of Hosts, the great MC in the neon sky. Amen.
Awake to see
Arise to change;
Awareness comes
Pathway winding
Ups and downs declare;
Possibilities
Dream a dream
Focus and see;
Moments of magic
Sunlight spreads
A moving palette;
Magnificent colours
Morning exercise
In rain and shine;
Tai Chi artistry
Pizza delivery
Dominos attends;
Party of four here
Arc of movement
Subtle kaleidoscope;
Happy flinging joy
Early rising moots
Drowsy awareness;
Sleepy connections
Birdsong prayer
For good feasting;
Three chicks to feed
Morning repast
Instant milk with coffee;
Food supplements extra
Just the other day
Old friend died;
Kind chat from beyond
As youth surrenders
Old age brings insights:
Wise old bones aching
With passing years
I learn to discern:
Talk without words
Simple economy
Spend when necessary;
Purge all vanity
A touching moment
Hero's journey ends;
Inevitable death descends
Time for goodbye
Fare you well my friend;
Let all things go
Birth's crying arrival
Lifelong struggle;
Exit with crying departure
God has a great sense
Of humour -- you see
He made man
Little by little
Becomes a plot;
Empty seems a lot

I round a bend in the trail ...
And gasp, literally ...
The scene before me takes my breath away
And I stop, transfixed by the sheer breadth of the panorama
The shimmering span of Crater Lake ...
Clear, crystalline ...
Pure as the tears of Heaven
Translucent fathoms of water, waiting ...
Glassy, tranquil, yet the depths shroud an inky secret
A brumal dragon, ages old, slumbers in the blackened abyss
Its fiery, flaming breath is calm, but its breast still slowly rises and falls
The wings of thunder that once battered the air to ruin
Are tucked close and quiet, but they tremble yet
The snorting nostrils that choked the sky, and earth-tearing claws
Are still and cold, but they shiver with an energy, relentless
The molten rock that is its lifeblood, ever flows deep in its bowels
Sleeping, dreaming, biding its time and virility
Above, nature attends to its own
The remnants of Mount Mazama paint the reach
Crimped in white and green, the edges of snow-dusted foliage
Creatures dance, unknowing, upon the beast's back
Life goes on-and-on, in all its guises
Struggle, tragedy, the feral judgements of existence and mortality
Predator and prey, birth and growth, changing seasons
The ceaseless spin of survival, continues on ...
This exquisite glade and the providence that surrounds me
Thrums with vitality, oblivious to the danger and heat stirring earthward
Bloating in the gut of the burning basilisk ... far, far below
Waiting for when the time is right ...
And it once again ... scorches the sky.

The world revolves these days with strife:
War rears ugly as harsh threats shout;
Terror involves sad loss of lives;
What a pity the down and out.
Brisk tabloid sales paint grim and mad;
Here and somewhere, man devours man;
Killing makes pale reason turned bad;
Then here and there, murder attends.
Newspapers tell of tragedy;
So much to say on the dark side;
Coffers now dwell lest sanity
Choke greedy pay from common tides.
Like gossip we say that we hate;
But turn around and then pretend;
Yet we surely scan news debate;
Our moral ground like contraband.
Day by day we expect bad news;
And find support for curious eyes;
Just as clearly comes battling cues;
Our sad retort floods lies and cries.
Don't blame the press for they do best
Just what you want in hellish tones;
Learn to express scorn for such quests;
Let voice be one to crash such drones.

(Dedication: For my son Michael Zachary
On your study tour Down Under.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here by the gate,
Fate is not late;
Study tour calls
In brisk footfalls.
Here as we sip,
Espresso trip;
With kin and friends,
Fond touch attends.
Your night time flight
In the clear light;
Faces share smiles,
Warm feelings style.
There’s much to cheer,
Just being here;
Bon voyage then,
Boarding pass tends.
A photo treat,
Visuals now greet;
For old time’s sake,
Cheers that we make.
Have a good trip,
Study tour grips;
Work smart fond feel,
Chalk up goodwill.
Blessings to each,
Seize ample reach;
Glimpse happy lot,
Dwell with fine thoughts.
January mood
With quest made good;
A dream to meet,
Mellow feels sweet.
So, here’s to you
Where fate funds cue;
Moments now cast
Wonder at last!
May all things good
Caress fond moods;
May success thrill
Wise, affluent feel.
Listen dear heart
As hard work arts;
Be in-sync whole,
Body-mind-soul.
Yet, fun attends
Your action plans;
Let heart and mind
Greet rainbow finds.
March 13 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on Joshua 9-11
Key Verse – Joshua 10:19 And stay ye not, but pursue after your enemies, and smite the hindmost of them; suffer them not to enter into their cities: for the Lord your God hath delivered them into your hand.
HEART THAT CLAIMS THE DELIVERANCE OF THE LORD
Our heart claims the deliverance of the Lord along our prayer-plea
As He enables us to worship Him with grateful glee
Surely teaching us that from sin-corruption we flee…
Here we are learning from Him so we can become what He wants us to be.
Our heart claims the deliverance of the Lord along our request
As He allows us to abide in His will’s center and fullest
Surely leading us to stay in His fellowship’s nest…
Here we are striving to give Him our very best.
Our heart claims the deliverance of the Lord along our need
As He helps us that from selfishness we will be fully freed
Surely loving us with His compassion constantly, indeed…
Here we are anticipating for His grant, devoid of greed.
Our heart claims the deliverance of the Lord along our supplication
As He purges us with His sanctification
Surely keeping us in His instruction…
Here we are walking in the integrity of our soul’s conviction.
Our heart claims the deliverance of the Lord along our concern
As He rescues us from frustration and failure’s darts we can’t discern
Surely securing us against vain worldliness’ tavern…
Here we are cleaving to Him around His rules that govern.
Our heart claims the deliverance of the Lord along our care-groaning
As He attends to us midst our confessed complaining
Surely affirming to us His mercy’s bounty so well-meaning…
Here we are trusting Him with faith, on His promises firmly leaning.
Our heart claims the deliverance of the Lord along our victory
As He reminds us His presence against worry
Surely enclosing us with His blessings in His service-territory…
Here we are clinging to His grace in declaring the Gospel story.
Observe each fear that seems to haunt,
Use your good sense to know the truth;
Remind good cheer to face each taunt.
Abide clear tense with wholesome proof,
Touch can avail the certain light;
Yield to love's hand a better feel,
Choice thus unveils a succinct sight;
Health now attends your vital will,
Insight knows best the cause of fear,
Prize peace of mind with faith that moves;
Hope works the fest that sparkles here,
Opt to live kind in sanguine grooves;
Be beyond fear as love now arts,
Imprint good cheer to forge wise start,
Ask grace to steer your vibrant heart.
