Joy, hope and kindness – let them reign!
Like the proverbial bluebird
of happiness, whose sweet refrain
of joy bursts forth, let it be heard!

With hope we’ll find the bluest sky.
Joy, hope and kindness – let them reign.
Hope is the lovely butterfly
that we see again and again.

Hope cannot be allowed to wane.
With joy’s bluebird, she leads the way.
Joy, hope and kindness – let them reign
and guide us to a brighter day.

Show forth your kindness with love,
so like the Son, you can attain
light like from His heaven above.
Joy, hope and kindness – let them reign!

Premium Member Sweet Little Lady

Many insects creep upon this earth,
and hardly anyone refers to them as “nice”
or writes a poem reflecting on their worth!
Spiders sometimes make me jump as if they were small mice,
and how repulsed I feel to see cockroaches or lice!

How many cute soft cuddly insects can we find?
 Worms are soft, but cuddly? I don’t think so!
Which bug both cute and sweet comes to your mind?
Well, Butterflies are lovely; fireflies have a nice soft glow.
But the one that comes to MY mind I bet you know!

She is a lady beetle, and when she lands on me,
I do not flinch or swat at her or gasp out “Ugh!”
People like to count her spots. A lucky one is she.
Protecting crops, she is well liked by farmers. What a bug!
If she were but my size, I’d give her a big hug.

Angela couldn't stop thinking about the danger
It was just so warm and pretty
But she could never forget that she's an angel

That so endearing, Angela encountered a fact she's alive, not dead
She found herself feeling rather guilty
Angela couldn't stop thinking about her sin nature filthy

Later, Angela was spooked by a demon
He is such a devil
But she could never forget the demon

Douglas is his name he tried to distract her slash her
Indoctrinate her
Angela couldn't stop thinking about the maker

Alpha and Omega
Angela couldn't stop thinking about her sin nature filthy
Still found feeling rather guilty

Angela nosedived like a perfect angel never ending be
Her mind turned into a pity
Angela so pretty it was her duty
To reject Douglas Demon she shouted out Satan git thee behind me

Premium Member Conundrum

I'll write only of my biggest fault,
            over it, I daily agonize.
My heart and soul are under assault
            I need to conceptualize.

I can't seem to conquer my dislike
           of ignorance, I can plainly see,
As I introspect, there's disquiet
          blaming is not where I want to be.

Realizing many cannot afford
         a college degree, even a class,
And many with a degree ignored
        truth, giving conspiracy a pass.

So, each of us could open a book...
        on one hand, I love the concept
of thriving, thinking, but sure to look
       where we're going before we have leapt.

Disliking a mind willing to be
        told what to think, to believe, to speak
I'm discarding all their qualities
        closing my mind, refusing to seek.

A closed mind, a form of ignorance
        so I've come full circle with my despair.
I've fallen prey to my dissonance.
        A conundrum that needed some air.

Over the hills played by a boy
Yellow ball was his decoy

My Parting Gifts

Three tall men in dark shades,
pulled up my door in an unmarked bus and rang my bell;
their clothing was quite classy,
they looked in their early forties;
and with drawn guns they made me feel like a criminal...
Was I some monster of society?

They approached me hastily and with arrogance they surrounded me
by displaying their golden badges, " It's the FBI, you must come with us...
you have five minutes to say goodbye to your family! "
They wouldn't let me speak, or think of a silly lullaby.
I ran inside and hugged Angela and mother who had frightened faces;
I was told my rights, then they handcuffed me and whisked me away;
" Take care of mother, Angela...tell her I'll be back, even though it's a lie! "
Stay away from Pete is a rat! Never make a comment to incriminate me! "

On the way out, neighbors gave me dubious looks...not believing their eyes;
some whispered, " I thought he was a nice guy! " What has he done? "
I saw Sam staring, he had a revengeful look on his tattooed face of gore,
" You will pay for this, freak! You called the Feds and set me up, they are lies! "
And he kept on laughing, dancing on his feet as my rage increased my heartbeat;
and he had the audacity to tell me, " Enjoy your stay at the Federal Prison, idiot! "

Premium Member What I Believe

I believe that,

God is the benevolent Lord of the universe
And He is the creator of everything diverse
While love of God takes us to eternity
Love of man leads us to fraternity

We are responsible for what we do
And our actions determine what we turn in to
Credentials on the wall do not make one honored
But integrity of character makes one admired.

I believe that,

Inactivity is akin to death
While creativity is vital as breath
If perseverance conquers mountains
Laziness dries up fountains.

Hatred burns life like fire
And wickedness turns it into mire
On Earth, forgiveness bonds hearts
But revenge, sure, every bond thwarts.

I believe that,

Friendship is more valuable in one's world
Than all treasures in silver or gold
From shore to shore the waves of love shall roll
There is no more joy than being with a kindred soul

A true friend has no deceit
And a truly learned has no conceit
If jealousy is an acid which erodes
Generosity is a fuel that reloads.

I believe that,

As trees once clad in green livery will be bare,
The body through long use will wear and tear
None can escape time’s fierce assault
And all should enter into death’s cold vault

Though life remains the greatest mystery
And our life on earth may end like a story
There are no endings but only interim stops
And our soul shall enter a fresh life with new hopes!

When Grandma died I inherited things,
jewelry, dishes, furniture and a doll;
I loved all 'cause I am a person who clings,
the best was her rocking chair and shawl.

It became clear that the chair had a ghost,
you guessed it, Grandma had come along;
but I did not mind and could see her almost,
and often I heard her singing an old song.

A friend who claims to see ghosts came to visit,
walking around she stood by the chair;
she was staring and I whispered can you see it,
and turned to me saying there is a pair.

A pair? Whatever do you mean dear friend,
well, it seems your Grandma brought her cat;
oh, do not be afraid as into your life they will blend,
so, I have a ghost with a cat-   wearing a hat !
