Joy Hope Kindness
Why fear, friend dear, why over-shadowed by despair?
Trust in your inner strength! Proceed with a prayer!
Thorns would turn flowers; rocks into strong stepping-stones,
Hope! Aim! Plan! Pains and sorrows will turn delight-zones...!
Will evils affect when stream of life flows love-filled?
Won't hills and mountains turn landscapes making you thrilled?
Entwined by strings of brotherhood you need to go,
Seeds of love and care everywhere you need to sow...!
Kindness to each creature be your philosophy,
Even wild beasts will kneel before you consciously;
Plants, trees, flowers, fruits and even thorns understand,
The tongue of love; hence, to the needy lend your hand...!
Dusk gives way to dawn; Shadows disappear in light;
Sun sets in the west to rise from the east so bright;
Each trifle should, hence, turn your holy Bhodhi tree,
That enlightens you with visions and missions free...!
