Anais Nin An

"We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are." -Anaïs Nin

Comprehensive thoughts arrive in the dark as we, unlit
keep pace like sleepwalkers in a world of drum and jangle
we never get close to the admittance of what we feel

long winter buffs and isolation
what are we made of,
wood ?

Pinnacles of surprise are set in motion
from the moment we perceive ourselves in others
the precious pursuit of company arrives,
at friendship's door

Through grace and restitution,
everything can be understood;

All embracing views set through enlightened souls
we are all Columbuses of this world
forever searching for each others border,

what are we made of ?
blood and vein .

Premium Member The Fatality

Before birth
I was the universe
All knowing, all embracing
Molecules of beauty in floating meditations
I was everywhere

Then............
The darkness.........
The womb.......
I begot limbs and flesh
Imprisoned inside this human frailty

I was freed, exposed, pushed, fallen into humanity
Lights, voices, sins, I screamed
They cut off my only bond to the universe
Here, a baby an orphan of the heavens
Imprisoned upon the imperfections of human realms

Hell.................
The holy book of sins...........
The great sadness.........
I miss the cosmic beauty
Stuck here, the devils collection of earthly kin

Days... weeks.....decades…. despair......
I plotted and planned
The great escape
From this finite boxed in land
I begged the infinite, and danced with infinity

The universe waltzed
I twirled with insightful delight
Soon, to be rejoined with eternal light
To be free, to roam the stars
My death, now rejoined with the heavens and all of thee

You visit, candles and crocus upon Parisian stone
I am neither there or even here any more
I have become what I once was, healed and whole
All knowing, all embracing
I am God, the universe once more

the void absorbs
vast array of energy orbs
viewing with non-judgmental eye
arms open in embrace, none does it decry

life giving light of the sun blesses one and all
even though but a handful few stand tall
those dwelling in deep dungeons dark
they too feel the throb of love hark

man endowed by power to discern
way to shed baser instincts yet to learn
empowerment instant in the void of stillness
with head and heart aligned attuned to oneness

in time recognising that everything is vibration
outer eye sees but temporal manifestation
ego mind stagnation in a narrow view
whilst love each instant renews

oh hermit, cultivate mindfulness
flowing continuum caring gentleness
vibrant within, outpouring love unceasing
moment to moment in sync with our breathing

What Did God Do

What did God do on the seventh day?

I saw Him
as He slipped off into the evening shadows
when the sun began to set
  and in His future eyes
saw the reluctant free will demise.
The glowing light
slipped into soft bared candle flicker
lost between His joy and His sadness
as His all seeing eyes well up quicker
  with all embracing love and tears;
the ever present Presence knowing
 of the future plans
for every woman and every man,
every creature made with heart and soul
to be deliberate, decisive, free, bold.
There
 He waits patient
 willing and ready to help
 all we need do
 is ask.

Premium Member Does Love Seek Resonance

Ego, not love, seeks vibrational match
for love is simply an effervescence
like yonder sun, lighting up each dark patch,
being quintessence of our soul’s essence.
Is not fickle love, that seeks a caress,
being dependent upon an exchange;
which if denied, soon begins to regress,
succumbing to cravings, our soul finds strange?
Love that is pure, is of the agape kind,
non-judging, all-embracing compassion,
a sublime radiance, no urge can bind
but perhaps such love is not in fashion.
If endearment be reduced to a trade,
deludedly, we assign love a grade.

Deludedly, we assign love a grade,
higher, if it gratifies our ego,
which is afraid to call a spade a spade,
need to be stroked, unable to let go.
As life unfolds and our consciousness shifts,
we may find that our interests diverge
but elixir of pure love, all hearts lifts,
radiating at all times, a bliss surge.
What matters at all times, is simply this,
that we see in our partner, divine light,
ensconced wherein, both our souls merge to kiss,
drenched in bliss mists, heightening heart’s delight.
Where love pulsates, there can remain no catch;
ego, not love, seeks vibrational match.

Premium Member Bliss Throb Rising

Bliss throb rising, our form enveloping
Unbound is joy, in dance of innocence
Delighting benign currents cascading
Mindful cognisance of subtle nuance

Inner balance, invokes divine cadence
Nodes within aligning, love caressing
Grace essence felt by inner sentience
Bliss throb rising, our form enveloping

Heart inviting, magnetism delighting
Egos penance, this carefree dalliance
All embracing, smiling child so playing
Unbound is joy, in dance of innocence

Heavenly fragrance, fortifies patience
Accepting our life force slowly ebbing
Erect stance reveals its luminescence
Delighting benign currents cascading

No doing needed, on earth journeying
Save stillness and silence continuance
Fickle fears ceasing, fearlessly flowing
Mindful cognisance of subtle nuance

Divine effervescence, our quintessence
We are here for loving, giving, growing
Lower mind urges, keep at a distance
Trusting Gods touch, allowing enabling
Bliss throb rising

Perfection I should gain; as perfect as the warmth of love,
Affluence, aspiration, and uprightness too should shove;
That substance, that essence, that omnipotent power sway,
That formal and final cause and effect only will stay...!

Could I call it Narvana, the confident negation?
Could I call it ethereal, eternal elation?
Is it one from whom the comely universe came to be?
Is it the source of all that I could see and cannot see...?

Is it Tian, the highest principle of all creation?
Is it causation, collation, and conscious cessation?
Endless energy, crucial truth, yet, indescribable,
Could its foundation and finish be so ascribable...?

Such as Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, All-embracing Allah,
The Father, Son, and the Spirit... Amen Alleluiah...!
Waheguru and numerous god-men and women, great,
Through them, with them, in them... I'll be in an ecstatic state...!!!

Prayer For Our Times

Four thirty in the morning
I am wide awake with no desire to sleep again.

Rising this early brings forth visions of a solitary kind
and passing time in shaky, cloudy pictured rewind
of nuns, brothers, priests in their self contained design.

They wash and dress in methodic morning prayer
as the bell calls gently in the background bare
to bow and kneel in a chapel hidden there.

Dark figures moving quietly together but alone
with unheard voices, unseen faces down
drawn in by some majestic unknown,
that all embracing force seeking to be found.

The holy rituals replay
long before the sunrise of each day
as the shadowed figures begin to pray.

What if no one ever said a prayer
how would any one of us be heard?

Looking out upon this hidden world’s reality
let us pray in unison for its destiny
as dedicated supplicants upon our bended knees.

A life member and community participant
within me lies that truth of knowing life’s worth
that God freely gave us at our birth.

I still pray
though surely not as fervently as they
but within is the desire living still
to access my heart and souls free will.

I long for simpler days, praying with them but apart
that deeply desired prayer learned at an early start
by inspirations from a teacher and mother’s heart.

Dear God, here I am, I am here,
surely you were awaiting my return
helping me escape all doubt and fear
   steadily on my journey home.

In the name of the Father and the Son
   and the Holy Spirit
Amen.

Premium Member The Gift of Soul

We speak of them together- 'heart and soul,'
but hearts are flesh- they beat inside of us.
      Emotions grow through love's euphoria
when mind and heart unite in happiness.

But soul- distinct from heart, resides unseen,
and speaks to us upon a higher plane.
An aura that enfolds us sacredly-
that holy zone that God instilled in us.

That part of Him that lets us comprehend
   this wondrous nature that surrounds us all;
the relished splendors of our human life-
the grace that heightens us beyond ourselves.

Compassion, sorrow, and unselfishness;
   a need to share and even yield one's life;
these cannot be without our gifted souls-
deep-seated in our psyche from the start.

Most humans feel the presence of a God-
it comes from deep within in many forms.
Induced or not, we feel that mystic glow-
perceive we are unique on this old earth.

So all-embracing is our sense of God-
   as known from sacred writings long ago;
made in His image, we are blessed with soul-
a spark from this great glory- is our gift.

Premium Member Beyond Speech

Beyond speech
Before the words
Even leave your lips
Thinking about thinking
Looking at your thoughts
I see the building blocks
Of your breaking down
It's noisy sound image
An abstract tree growing concepts
In a forest needing life

* Simeon wages its demise

Beyond the tip of your tongue
After supper, when the words
Have left your mouth
All your childhood questions
Still unanswered
It's branches are torn apart
Your tree positioned
Without arches pays a fee
To this living organism
For it's inorganic accretions

*Simeon wages it's demise

Beyond the after thought
Your prose has brought about
There's no going back
Past the Temple's entrance
No chugalugging in reverse
Like dead dogs guarding
White noise on a mountain
Jubilations and alleluias are
Revelations so gloriously bright
They hurt the eyes

*Simeon wages its demise

Beyond the pandemonium
Of your chitchat usage
On the far right of a good way off
Your thirty tongues
Those serpentine monsters
Are tangled in green homilies
No more conversations needed
Not listening but watching
Your gold watch a-tick tock ticking
It's running against time all-embracing

*Simeon wages its demise

Unsanctioned quiet
Never looks back
Too much said
Is always too late.
There are many words for frost
This is the house your words built
You might have lost your tongue altogether
Like blind passion without a mission
Not even your homing pigeon can
Any longer hear you out.

*Simeon wages its demise
