Twilight's Raimants In Blues

As two, hearts dance the embrace of a fire,
plucking your heartstings as a lyre
Distrust, lies, eclipses love's satellite true- natal
loon, into a suicide hot air balloon ride!
Moves aside bend of light, chooses,
side, of a dark malignant side of moon !

   In the twilight hour blues,
where passions softly stir,
emotions start to blur, turn sour,
painting pleasure in the night maw to devour two

In the depths of the night, a solitary light wound
casts a shadows upon the heart,
where darkness slowly seeps through

With every stolen kiss, a crescendo of desire,
a symphony of emotions that sets souls afire
Strings of anticipation strum
in rhythmic delight tuned to
caressing secrets, where fantasies abide, nude

Signs, who, hides moons of the truest kind!
O a tale apart
Moves side winds, breath of the dark arts,
to align into hearts maligned

arms folded in death to make with
as a stolen kiss ignites a flame,
like a symphony, our hearts fall prey to again
be betwixt in the game

With every stolen kiss, a crescendo of desires,
hollows,
a symphony of emotions that sets
souls adrift from the shallows
In passions dance in the shadows,
at Night, where secrets cannot hide their gallows
from the ghouls that preside in it's marrow

In a tale ripped apart...
every 'plete of your heart
Strings of anticipation strum in
rhythmic delight tune
turns to the knife of sacrificial rite

In the twilight raimant so blue, where passions fly,
the jolly roger of motley fools,
selling the fine line
sailing the live mines

Embracing the darkness' essence,
a tale yet for reason
harmonies of ecstasy reaching
a breathtaking peak of reasoning

Oh, the cadence of desire, intoxicating and divine,
as crescendos rise and fall, our spirits intertwine
a symphony of emotions, wild and misconstrued,
leaving souls aflame, forever marked,
for death do you sever
apart partaking your
passions dance in the shadows,
at Night, where secrets cannot hide to
desires lever toggle with every touch, new,
every sight of slight or bruise

Urban decay of a dream,
dream theater of a tragedy
playing looped scene

In the Twilight raimant so blue
With every beat of your heart
Moves side winds, choose, sides,
with a dark maligned tune

History Rising from the Sea

Treasure from the sea
Golden doubloon
Sixteenth century artifact
By ancestors hewn

Earth's history lays buried
Beneath five oceans
As undersea tremors
Create violent commotions

Freeing from Spanish galleons
Precious metals, gemstones,
To greet early beachcombers
History on loan

Memories of bygone ages
Scattered on the sand
Finally kissed by sun again
While in a searcher's hand

I pursue this morning trek
With Atlantis on my mind
Seeking proof at last
In treasures I might find

When ancient civilations
Seem to disappear
Comb the beach, you might find
The evidence is here

For from a phoenix rising
New finds appear each day
And I'll not stop searching
Till doubts I can allay

Caroline and I shared of love of water - she the ocean and I lakes and Puget Sound. Her poems flow like tides - effortlessly - with bits of wisdom scattered like treasures of seashells or driftwood found on the beach. This poem speaks of our mutual love of beachcombing for treasures and the pondering of history brought to mind by life's flotsam.

The poem below represents my tribute to Carolyn.

Girl on a Dolphin

Stargazing ocean pixie
Rides the playful weathered waves
To surf the ocean tides
With laughing dolphins
Leaps to catch Delphinus
Starfarer in a star bound chrysalis
To ride this five star celestial constellation
On heaven sent lapis astral waters
Wearing moonstones like Apollo’s poetry
Where starry Aquila flies to Lyra’s music.

Salt spattered waves only gaze
At a girl – eternal sea sprite –
That sits atop a stellar dolphin
And feels the shell torn loss
Of feet that danced through tidal pools,
Delight and awe surging through her signature,
As time bound day searches midnight legends
To align in twinkling sidereal day –
A quest for remnant memories in verses
Of a star born spirit – girl riding on a dolphin.

The constellation Delphinus is made up of five stars and can be seen between the constellations of Aquila, the Eagle, and Lyra, the Lyre. It is named for two Greek legends based on dolphins one of which tells of Apollo setting a dolphin in the sky in gratitude for saving the Greek poet Arion. Apollo is the god of music and poetry.

Riding a roller coaster
Propelled by life’s velocity
Governed by instincts and thought
Driven by an urge to emerge victorious
Sentience deadened to conscience
Flitting thus from desire to desire
We built an imaginary script
Of narrow ego identity

Some conquests won
We saw not unshed tears
Of mute weaker souls wasted
Owing to our callous, feral savagery
Likewise, we encountered defeat
Whereupon we steadied heart
Resolving to rise once again
Imagining ego as the doer

Our face in the mirror
Reflected pride and conceit
Beggars too began looking away
Recognising our cold, hard countenance
So it chanced to pass that by grace
One day we chose to look within
Shocked to see soul shrivelled
Lonely in our bleeding heart

We stopped the flow of time
Frozen for what seemed eternity
Crying out silently into the vast void
Wishing to be healed and feel complete
A divine voice instantly responded
Asking if our resolve was strong
To walk the talk as affirmed
In thought, word and deed

The path simple and direct
Liken it to a hop-on hop-off bus
We hop off the ego bus and choose love
Shifting consciousness from head to heart
Voice of conscience grew stronger
We dwelt not on material gain
Shifting into mindfulness
A stillness continuum

Yet love that is imbibed
Takes time for assimilation
But what matters time any more
To the one who has since vaporised
In timeless time ensconced in bliss
Empowered by a magnetic pulse
Which we may give any name
Kundalini or The Holy Spirit

Baptised in the stream
Twice born, we yet lived on
Our soul within, one with oneness
Seeing now earth life as but a lucid dream
Wherein we are being breathed by God
As He does for all sentient life forms
To fulfil our soul’s smallest wish
Now aligned with love alone

Now we do honestly confess
We know not what scriptures say
All we affirm from our life experience
Is that once we align with God’s love impulse
For each step we take, He leaps forward
Gathering us in His warm embrace
Lighting the lamp of love within
Darkness then is no more

The Shedding of Our Skin

“The Shedding of our Skin”

I am writing about the transition from lost now found,
Darkness to light, one being into another, death to life,
Old skin to new skin.
Its like the rejuvenation of skin
The restoring of flesh over flesh of an open wound
And that does not happen all at once but over a duration of time.
Little by little not specific, but unpredictable start to finish.
My skin was tough, tough as leather
It had to be broken in, sat and stomped on over time
It was miss-used, abused
Unappreciated, contaminated and unpurified with uncleanliness toxic substances, people, places and things.
Miss-guided with ill desires and will
But by grace my transformation had begun
Before it was to late there was a death to life ending activated
In my darkest space, In my mess
The shedding of my skin had begun
There was a shift in my ways my desires my walk and talk
My mind and heart had started to align up with the whispers of Gods divine word.
My old skin of the one-track roads, addictions, attitudes and desires.
I no longer craved or desired
My mouth was filled with affirming empowerment for myself and others.
I was able to articulate the things I felt, thought, wanted, and needed, liked and disliked.
Speaking fluent in the moments with no more hesitation or reluctancy holding my words or fear.
I am shedding my broken past of my childhood strongholds and obstacles.
Letting go of my resentments and anything that has kept me in chains.
I’ve moved from complacency to contentment with a peace and understanding I cant explain.
Compelled to be of service and good works with a drive of passion energy and love.
I AM SHEDDING
No longer stagnant in my engrafted past
Now free and flying through the fog, trauma and strongholds that once hindered me and my growth in so many ways.
Today my mind is renewed with thoughts and visions of life and light.
My new skin enables me to persevere on in faith and hope.
Trusting and dreaming of an abundant life sober and free
To properly handle and face life gratefully
Overcoming any of its obstacles that may come up against me
I am shedding with new profound revelations and abilities
My shedding has provided me with a variety of new talents and gifts.
Something that my old skin would have never allowed....
Continuing to shed “The Shedding of my Skin”

Dare I Compose, This Heartfelt Poem For Thee

Dare I reveal, dare to my soul expose
No longer hide behind life's hidden pose
Return to Southern roots, a simple man
Forget this dark world's constant wicked plans
Remember her, life's most beautiful rose
She the sweet goddess, that this poor man chose.

Dare I compose, this heartfelt poem for thee
Pray to Heaven to one day again see
Together walk those streets paved in gold
Hold each other always, never grow old
Wake each dawn, with Heaven 's love all around
With you darling, forever by my side
In divine paradise wading love's tide.

Dare I ink the words, darling I love you
Just to hear you say, yes, I love you too
Return to Southern roots, a simple man
Forget this dark world's constant wicked plans.

As Length'ning Shadows, Filter Thru These Aching Hours

As length'ning shadows, filter thru these aching hours
Seeing flowers bloom, I lower both sword and shield
Yet in the black-distance still loom angry towers
For this world its angry powers refuse to yield
Dare I, beg this cursed world for a peaceful sign
As if this moment, Karma and golden moon align
Nay! To do such, what a great knave fool would be I
For Karma rang no bell and day holds no moon sky!

Standing alone, this soul seeks happiness again
As a wasted form, worn down by epic grief
Here walking through life, with overloads of pain
Crying out and at moment devoid of belief
Dare I, in such a state, again raise this sharp sword
Wade into battlefield, a brave soldier to be
Cutting and slashing the dark-cast and evil hordes
Tho' knowing, more will arise from a hellish sea?

Here wherein twilight shades are forever falling
And darkness its turmoil dances into my head
I cannot help but hear heartache and loss calling
Do I, do I thus choose to run away instead
Dare I, fail my raising, deny my Southern roots
Speed ever onward past grief, fears and bitter years
Absorb the poison arrows the enemy shoots
As they whizz on through this volley of falling tears?

Here wherein twilight shades are forever falling.
I cannot help but hear heartache and loss calling.

Tread of life
      a strand of hair
           disassociation
desolation devastation
floribunda flapdoodle
                   constantly hearing
Voices...
             whispering
                    screaming,
spread their
             ivory wings,
                               fly
                         in velveteen
                              sky

Constantly...
                     berating,
                         damaging
                              disparaging
mentally...

unseen torment
                 pretending
                        drowning in
                              unfillable chasm
Trauma...
           suppressing
                        swallowing
existence
                   dripping with shadows...

When casting spells
             seeking peace
                           amid war
                                turn off TVs
            keep radios hushed
                             lure of
                       loathy
                 illusion

draped in earthy
                   petrichor shade
splendidly
               sculpted from
                                   stardust
bereft of insignia or emblem...

Opus headline
           in magnetic bowl
                          shredded
                  with a spark
burned in full
anoint ash
          on forehead
                                  As Peace Symbol

Then
    with a broken gun
                on windowsill
                             east-facing muzzle
           align seven shots
heart-shaped trigger guard
                shadows shouldn't touch

Then

stir three dove wings
                            into hot milk
must be flawless
           add three plastic
                  army men
                          whirlwind
                                       madness
let it cool down &
stir with
              olive branch

Dump sharp knife out
             sun-facing blade
                      back spell your name
                                  five times
                      then step inside &
                                   close the door
etched in
          immortal art
                      of humanity.

Iron Revolution

Your vision is clear
No longer deafened
But able to hear
Child to man, you stand
Your time is now
Lashing motion of your judgmental hand
Tongue and teeth gnashing a solid command:
'As a man forged flesh and bone
Of my native mother's land
Risen from soil and stone
Formed by my father's hand
Sworn by purity, prosperity and protection
Oppositional lines were crossed
We will not fall to, but fight this infection
As we sight this spreading viral sign
We become an antibody when barrel and skull align
Unabided are the restraints of government laws
Severed for our birth-given right
As men of white
To follow a greater cause
You say I am but one
Yet I am the face of the revolution
I am the hand of your salvation
The hope of this beloved nation
And I am a bullet inside a chamber of many
Justified death and destruction beside me as any
This bloodline of the swine
Inhale it's deportation
Standing pure and solid, we shine
Exhale it's existence
Rid this worldly contamination
They have no quality to bear such arrogance
Take this hand of salvation
Join our march to everlasting victory
Walk with us these winding roads of Hell
Fly this flag of truth and know our story
So truth is exactly what you'll return to tell
So that you will see what I have seen
And come to understand what we truly mean
When along with our hoisted flag
Bleeds the head of the Z.O.G. Machine.

So the Death's Head marches
Just like the sea before the storm
The darkened depths of destructive minds churn
A single motion of haunting form
To ensure that this scum will learn
A bullet among many, indeed
Columns of each an idea
Bearing seed
A mirror image of one another
Vengeance consumed for the rape of their mother
The cities burn as the S.S. discern the corpses
From the walking dead
Still forward marches the Death's Head

The tide rises in a hailing salute of hands outstretched
High toward the crimson sky
Carving a path toward gates Heaven bound
The streets, a tranquil lullaby of no sweeter sound
Eyes cast upward
Swastika pupils dance along a hellfire grin
Certainty that this can be no sin
A chant for succession in the hour of white power
Proud, bloodstained and pale
They chant, "Sieg heil!"

With grace and glory, our men of alike blood
Hold high both head and hand
Against this threat we'll never fail to stand
They can't hide from the drowning tide
We are the Black Band.

The Mad Dance

The klaxon sounds and off we do scurry
Up to the gun house we head in a hurry

Through narrow p-ways and up noisy stairs
We pass each other with far away glares

What threat to meet, all do wonder
We’re well trained and there’ll be no blunder

Hatches closed and scuttles secured
Drive motors humming, we speak not a word

Ammo to the hoist, battle dress in place
Flash hoods cover all but our face

“Mt 51 manned and ready!”
Gas eject air pressure is holding steady

“Air action port!” our circuits align
Gun slews, the target to find

“On target aircraft!” the checksight declares
Our peril confirmed, no drill, all just a deep inhale

“Right and left guns load!” first powder then shot
To the mad dance, cast we all our lot

Guns loaded, we track knowing not when
Waiting the salvo alarm, the dance soon to begin

Fourteen men poised, ready for the show
Bound to each other, not for their own glory they do go

Gong! Gong! Fire! The first stanza a roar
Then rapid and continuous we feed each bore

“Bore clear!” signals to load the next round
As hot-case men pitch spent brass to the ground

Practiced harmony, each motion robotic
Load!, Ram!, Fire!, Eject! the cadence hypnotic

Smoke and flareback, gases choking
Onward we whirl, and curse the foe attacking

“Foul bore left gun!”
A stuck case has us undone

Pry bar in hand, the Gunner appears
The extractors are broken, confirming worst fears

Casing removed and the gun finally clear
Up all night we’ll be, fixing this gear

“Cease fire!” all safely emerge
Realize we now, our fears to purge

Destruction averted, another hour to draw breath
Till the enemy returns, seeking our death

“Police up that brass and swab out those barrels!”
The chief keeps us all intent on the peril

They will come again, or we will seek them out
So little rest we take, while the issue is in doubt

This describes a live shoot from the prospective of
the men manning a twin 5 inch gun aboard a destroyer.
These ships were common in our Navy from 1944 through
about 1980. The "old salts" out there will find this very familiar.
This is a spinoff from my "Tin Can Sailors" write even though
the ships in that story were single mounts. Same gun, but
with just one barrel. Those were before my time.

The Middle Ground

You have been walking on that ground since you were a child and you still have not examined the broken lines, you have been playing on that field since you start crawling on your knees and still you have not figured out how to mix lemon with honey.

You have been playing on the middle ground since you were three and you should know the turns like ABC. If I bend my back and cross my knees you will receive a letter from me; some mountains are hard to climb but strategy will save you just in time.

I lit a candle and wander around in the dark searching for that spot where I will meet with the lark, it is that little section around the bend where the crucifix meet with the troublesome heavens, and the clouds keeps turning about and the elements in the sky start to run and shout.

The universe with its ultimate proportion finds the exotic rhythm and starts sing, and I stretched my ears beyond the plane to block out the terrible shame and align myself with the ground for that is where the mystery is found.

The stars and the planets are sealed up with the Gods and the Indus Valley lay bear waiting for something dynamic to share; the Bronze Age of civilization is welled up in the northwestern regions of Southern Asia, cruising from corner to corner and from three thousand three hundred BCE to thirteen hundred BCE, they have been baking a giant cake for you and me,.

The ancient Egyptian and Mesopotamia family have been searching diligently for me they are one of three early civilizations of the Near East and South Asia and they have built an empire out of the diamond and gold and place it in the center of my soul.

The ancestors have paid the sacrifice a million times and when the time is right you will break through the gate and collect the golden plate.

The center ground keeps moving around and the birds keep flying from town to town, the side bars are easy to slide and a miracle is waiting by your side, study the field once more before you walks through the miracle door.It was built specially for you, just to make your dream come through.

When you are in the middle, they attack you from both sides so girt your waist with extra pride and extend your right and left elbow on both sides to scrape up all the prize. The middle ground is hard to find; the middle ground is where destiny abideS.

Echoes of the Heart

Ink flows like a river, a poet's soul on fire
A maze of words, where emotions unfold like a desire
Each line a path, a winding road that beckons me
To the heart of the abode, where secrets wait to be free

Fragments of self, embedded deep, like a treasure unspoken
A reflection of the heart that beats and seeps with every line
A dance of words, that weaves a tapestry of heartache and design
A kaleidoscope of pain, a symphony of feelings that entwine

The poet's emotion, like a river's flow, ebbs and grows
Through every line, a symphony of feelings, as the heart overflows
A reflection of the soul, where emotions forever align
A dance of words, that whispers secrets, like a heart that's divine

Most readers glance and pass, blind to the heart's design
They fail to see, the emotion that will last, like a love that's sublime
They read the lines, but don't feel the weight of every word
Of each word's power, that the poet conveys, like a heart that's unheard

For empathy is key, to truly understand the poet's heart
To feel the pulse, of each word's design, a work of art
To be immersed, in the poet's emotional shrine
Where emotions flow, like a river's stream, forever divine

A true poet gets lost in the lines they create
In the labyrinth of words, their heart does await, like a love that's great
For in each phrase, a piece of them resides, like a heart that beats
A reflection of their soul, where emotions forever meet

They pour their heart, into every single word, like a love that's true
A symphony of feelings, that are forever heard, like a heart that's anew
Their emotions flow, like a never-ending stream, like a love that's free
A tidal wave of passion, that crashes on the dream, wild and carefree

In the silence of the night, they find their heart's voice
A whispered truth, that echoes with every choice
Their emotions raw, their feelings exposed, like a heart that's laid bare
A poet's vulnerability, that most people have disposed, like a love that's not there

In the labyrinth of lines, they find solace and peace, like a heart that's at rest
A refuge from the world, where their heart can release, like a love that's blessed
Their emotions flow, like a river's stream, like a heart that's free
A poet's catharsis, that's the heart's esteem, like a love that's meant to be
