-Nights wake-
The night is dead. Longs for absurdity, what’s left is a heart of fire.
The abomination of the fallen. Serotonin left astray. Beg for the long-lost magnum opus. Tear apart Librium. Sheer lust of the requisite. Where are we now?
Deprave the senses. Blind from touch, brail inherently deemed moot.
My eyes close and I see the void. I open them to see the lie.
Tears stream down my face like rivers surface in the Sahara.

Near the end of October, a gelid wind blew
and froze the corollas of the dainty daisies;
it came as a surprise, sad was the face of Matthew,
no baseball in the field that echoed with screams!
Arthur, the coach, who used to chew gum and eat chips
sat inside his office checking out the unpredictable weather,
nothing promised a break in the clouds, so he bit his lips;
Lydia's eyes were sad and teary, she was the cheerleader!
The young players decided to play basketball in the Gymnasium,
they didn't really miss the baseball game as much as Tim did
who sat in a remote corner and seemed to experience Librium;
a bunch of kids rushed in not sure for which team they would bid!
As winter bent trees and stripped flowers from all gardens,
inside everybody was having fun cheering for their team;
all the doors were locked and a stranded dog emitted barks,
Cindy came out and let him in as he huffed at Joachim!

WHERE THEY KEEP THE MULTI-COLORED PILLS OF PEACE
I want to do something I’ve never done before
No, I don’t need to challenge the English Channel shore
It’s not seeing that lovely’s body with her clothes on my floor
And I certainly don’t want to blow up any babies or participate in a war
I want to do something I’ve always wanted to do
Perhaps climb in a cage with two hungry lions at the zoo….
The last thing I want is to become Jesus Christ’s whore
And I reiterate that I don’t want to participate in a war
I’d like enough time and patience to watch a flower from seed to grow
And oddly enough I don’t care to know everything I should know
Life s a more thrilling ride if you can’t answer any query and aren’t brilliant enough to
offer anyone any advise
So here sit I upon a rocking chair thinking about what I’d do that I’ve never done
And needless to say, if I would never participate in a war I certainly have no need for a
gun
My hunger is salivating to do something new that I’ve never done
Oh yes, I’d like to be secreted away in a closed and completely empty drug store
