Bella rides the crescent moon with ease,
a stellar faerie that’s sure to please.
She waits and watches up on high,
every star that passes her by.

With ebony wings she is a sight,
resting upon that silvery light.
Tiny stars pass and say “hello”;
Bella’s thrilled with their light show.

To her duty, she’s dedicated,
ensuring the heavens are decorated;
with plenty of stars to wish upon,
she is a necessary, cosmic liason.

Every child born ‘neath those gleaming lights,
can dream of reaching the highest heights.
Bella keeps the stars well-dusted,
crystalline entities, quartz-encrusted.

So children can spot them any night,
that wishes might be fulfilled just right;
Bella knows the value of childhood dreams
and how like the stars they all gleam.

Love You Friend

Friend, how could I tell you. the day I met you I fell in love,
There you were reaching out to me in friendship.

A tall and very handsome man standing before me,
Muscular and strong, your handshake etched in my mind.

The hug and kiss we shared, what was I to do,
Our friendship was becoming serious, me who thought marriage,

The furthest from my mind, I dreamed of getting married again,
Does he know how much I love him and how much I care.

Each day i look forward to talking to him, sharing pleasures,
Maybe lunch on the picnic bench, going for walks,I am too shy to ask.

His handsomeness perpetuated in my mind, mercy Lord, I thought,
I must have been good for God to reward me with this beautiful friendship.

Thankful to the Lord, my God with hopes that we will forever stay friends,
God's blessings for a continued daytime liason..

DANGEROUS LIASON

The spiral staircase made her high heels sing
Sue climbs it to meet her married lover
he’s her boss; she’s just his latest plaything
she was warned about men by her mother!

It‘s not just her job that earns her a rise
he pours champagne as she enters the room
with ‘pillow talk’ as he fondles her thighs
Sue says she’s pregnant, it fills him with doom

From here the city churches pierced the mist
Sue says, "Divorce her, there we can get wed."
she purses her ruby lips to be kissed
as they tumble onto the king size bed

His hands grip her throat; he calls her a whore
she’s insignificant, he does not care
hiding her body, he heads for the door
he closed it, and, now smiling, crossed the square

Beasts of Burden

*Beasts of burden*

Then I couldn't grapple the hand
that held onto what I hinged upon
Never 'ld, instead I reached for its head
Mortal-minded, neither soldier nor lord
or rather, faux,feeble, too torn

Long I stood, living in graced faith
Nature denied me a knife or dagger
But a soldiering destiny waited for death
at hefty times when all didnt query, yet,
these souls ran Godly errands afar

In the morning we equally laid tiredly
Thought I was gone too long to return-
nooks 'n crannies, moonlit-sanity.
Me, death with feud on a bale of hay
discreetly left on a tomb for liason
Strongly gave out , solely a sacrifice
We passed!, Feute'de'mieux, to die
looked down as far as I could, just ice
under the haystack, I failed to age.
Death entertains beyond prying eyes

A Literal Tryst

My vice is to choose a book at random
From off the library shelf
A book timeworn, a bit forlorn
That sits alone, all by itself

I like that slight crackle
That comes from it’s spine
That warm musty odor reminiscent
Of newly uncorked wine

I t can be just a brief conversation
Or perhaps a grand revelation
That momentary…temporary?
Meeting of minds

Yet at times these random authors
Take hold of my mind
Makes me an unwilling and unwitting
Hostage…with a great opening line

So I enter into a random liason that will end
in but a week or so
With a literal random stranger
Who ends up in my hand in my bed
And shares my nightlamp’s glow

But this chance encounter as always,
Must come to an end
T’was no more than a passing delight
Twas just a book, chosen at random
…A stranger in the night…

The Day of Miracles

Today was a day of miracles,
Struggles that are reconciled,
A place to call home again,
God's beautiful blessings,
Friendship, the liason with understanding,
A reprimand of the supernatural,
Difficult passages for a senior,
A restored normal kingdom,
Beautiful rapport with retirement,
Days and nights of blessings,
God's guidance and thankfulness.

Ticking of the Clock...

Not what it seems the ticking of the clock
A secret dream secret liason a secret to tease
I can not breathe till I feel your hands upon my skin
Your force against the wall that makes me crawl
You say no I say yes we will not fall
We open the door to sin we are own seducers

No talk no spoken lie just you and I
Difference in lives but we are both alone in cries
Remember the first time the kiss that held on
The smile that was a turn on
An innocences that was turned around
It is not love it is passion in what we found

Walk away after all the ticking of the clock ticks
Is so not far away untill the next brings its tricks
Reality takes the hours so soon after our lovers fix
You and I know the rule
Years have passed still the affair of you
Its never how it seems for it is this which is only true

Tortured Thoughts

Sitting here one dreary midnight
Tears falling from my somber eyes
So many thoughts flow through my mind
Of all your excuses and horrible lies
And all the nights I laid in wait
Hoping that you would not wake
To sneak into my broken room
For yet another sickening liason
I prayed every night for it to end soon
Yet for countless years it continued on
I told myself I needed to stay strong
But it just went on for way too long
No one came when I cried out
I tried so hard to block them all out
But now they're back and haunting me
Will somebody please set me free
Of all the tortures and all the hell
I knew for so long and all too well
