("The Mothership", 2024, original encaustics digitally collaged by Stephen Langer)
What Will You Do
When the aliens come
What will you do?
Will you go dragged kicking and screaming
Only to remember nothing,
Or will you go willingly
With the curiosity of a child?
What’s there after all
In the Great Mother ship,
A portal, a station, theatre of the mind
In multidimensional surround sound
Revealing a multiverse of limitless potential
Or a black hole of limited impossibility?
I don’t know, but it bears considering.
In my experience such things happen without choice,
Like a moth to a flame
Or sonambulator in the dark,
But why not be prepared
With your choice already made?
“Beam me up Scotty”
It’s gotten too crazy down here,
And what I took for an intelligent lifeform
Has turned out to be a mirage.
Ah, much better in multidimensional surround,
Thanks Ma.

When God was in me longer and longer,
Shall start to grow stronger and stronger;
Mild and meek,
All does seek;
Search for peace not being war monger.

Languorus strokes
trace the texture and curves,
the heat gently burns
deep in the pit of my soul
Wooing areola
the tip of your tongue
glides to its target
teasing tips to a frenzy
All reason flees
as straps feather,
brushed lightning
dimples my arms
I am lost in desire
I'm a slave to need,
the langer presses
urgency in its pulse
a spark ignites
as passion collides,
arising to your mouth
lips fire the flames
Undressing my soul
I again loss control,
my vow to never again
is lost to passions spin
Languishing light
tips the veils of morn,
a day of rest awaits
and I feel newly born

RUNNING FROM A STRANGER
WONDERING IF IM IN ANY REAL DANGER
MY HOPES FOR RECOVERING JUST LANGER
I EXSCAPED UNHARMED
CRYING IN MY MOMS ARMS
HOPEING SHE WOULDINT LET GO AND WOULD PROTECT ME
FROM THE ALARMS
MY LIFE IS ONCE AGIN SAVERED
WITH LAYER ONTOP OF LAYER
BUT THEYLL BE OTHERS TO KATER
IM WAITING FOR THE DAY SO I CAN BE PREPARED
