Fussy and mean
The anger of a
Immature person
Leaps and bounds
Mind you in descion
Anchored by ones lack
Of devotion
It is perfect because it
Is his
Wanted because it was
Seen as unobtainable
Kindness makes you smile
Desire makes you want
Linger first in frustration
Circumnavigate to explore
When those finding cause you
Different might your readyness
Cause you to chore
It is an obligation to keep
It is a job to have
Think of it as mine
And before you stop to laugh
Talk it over with love ones
Those who underestimate you
As need
Fault yourself in your doings
And make yourself to believe
Beyond the edges
Right were the sun meets the sky
Hand me what I long to have
And never ask me why

NIGHT FEARS
When distant daylight’s been spent and spilled,
My lamp alone lights the curtained darkness
Of unseen fear, which has always filled
The weary black pit yawning endless
Into the night; and all the unknown
Terrors of the dreamworld
Conspire to extinguish my lamp lone
When the smothering curtain is unfurled.
Oh, how the dawn moves on leaden feet
To reach far into the shaded recess.
Oh, let it make haste to meet
My darkness with mothering succor and nearness.
Awaiting the fear - it's deep behind the lampless curtain.
Wanting the dawn - it creeps slow and uncertain.

STAGE FRIGHT
On this far-stretching stage of fools, my role, my cue
To trudge tired but glad to arrive - and stumble upon you.
In this forest thick, the trees-set spreading
Arms before me, I could see no clear heading -
Empty nightmarish trembling solitude, fright,
Listening to the sounds of nature by starless night,
A lampless orchestra in its invisible pit below the stage
Ending in black curtains and an occluded edge.
What scarred me most was the solitude of the set.
What scared me most was that we might never have met.
I might never have seen God’s sparkle in your eyes
And seen my curtain rise.

As lovers walk hand in hand, with each step their world becomes smaller under the moonlight
Cocooned in their embrace, lips on lips trace, as passion takes hold, under the moonlight
At midnight, the tormented soul begins his pain the full moon sees his change
grisly slobber drips off mange, his deeds of horror will unfold under the moonlight
The nightingale sings, high in the serenity of darkened branches, for his mate pursued
he sings in his solitude, so sweetly and invitingly to offer his love untold under the moonlight
In a velvet sky, the unknown sends comets gliding, now make a wish, for whoever sees,
these fiery tails have dreamed of happiness to appease and to behold, under the moonlight
Darkness shrouds the night, evil lurks in dank corners of lampless minds, choosing not to
keep the light they own, but sit beside the devils thrown where souls are sold under the
moonlight
Outside I walk to clear my head, thoughts of what, in this ghazal should be said, to have a
chance of a prize, to hopefully hypnotize, times running out and its cold under the moonlight
