In his likeness and,
Out of boundless love, he
Cursed the earth into existence.
Every man with a uniqueness which
Nourishes the sight.
When the clouds ladens and,
Thunderbolts rocks the earth,
Children fix their stares to the skies and,
Grace their eyes with arrays of wonderful colors.

Silence
Uncomfortable
Eerie in heaviness
Weighted in screams
Echos through the halls with
Grief
Overwhelming
Bitter with guilt
Chased by memories
Ladens every minute of
Life
Effervecent
Fragile in nature
Lived to the fullest
Snuffed in a blink by
Death
Ungracious
Fickle harvester of life
Feared by survivors
Brings eternity through
Faith
Everpresent
Balm to the spirit
Unshaken by tragedy
Gives peace to those left behind
(This is an older write that I wrote after a student was killed in an accident several years ago. Our school had another tragedy when a student collapsed from a brain aneurysm in class this week, and was taken off life support the next day_10/2. This still fits better than anything new I could have written.
Thank you Emily for leaving your Faith as a beacon for others.)

You’re a
cross
I bear.
Your weight
ladens
my back.
The burden,
my own
doing.
The burden,
my own
undoing.
You’re a
cross
I bear.
All I
have left
of you.
Without which
I’d float away
unnoticed.

They say there was an eagle who came and took his chair,
and soon it spilt out black blood on you and me and off the East.
The gay man’s disguise is sexualised through the long legs
of Americas barbers chatter
as they trim out the last of terrors,
and as their reasons are no more,
the blood returns
to the red
sea, looking so black
and easy.
Curls of beard scattering
ashed terrain.
