Burj Khalifa

Satisfied on top
Smiling face as bright as
Blooming night jasmine.

Upstanding

For the years to come I want you to be upstanding
Cheering me on as I'll be picking up my accolades
For the hard work that I've put through the years
It was a matter of time before everyone saw my star

Some saw it as far as Burj Khalifa, Dubai
Under the desert skies full of humidity
And just like the towering skyscrapers there
I'll be piling one accolades after the other

For years I wrote in the confine of my mind
Until I was able to write in other people's minds
I live in most of them, that's why I even got here
For they didn't have to see the light for them to follow

Some saw it in the struggle as I labored to rhyme
Till it came so easy for me that's why I've  been delivering
Each & every time that's why I make you all smile
Cause its happiness I spread & spread something more ??

Remain upstanding just a little more
Till I take to that stage and say my speech
Cause all those days and nights lead to this
But it's all you who believed that have kept me going

Loner Stoner

I smoke until my eyes bleed
And a friend I do not need
For if there was a stud
Who'd think he was a bud
Was it rather smoking weed

A Giraffe

A giraffe stretches
Just like Burj Khalifa to
Grab food from above

Premium MemberActor's Name Becomes a Verb

The man,
the actor, Will Smith,
turned himself
into a verb
with one stinging
"heard-around-the-world" slap
across Chris Rock's face
at the Oscar ceremony.
Whether he likes it
or not, he's now
a guaranteed verb,
 at least in the eyes
of household-name rappers.
Some were Oscar attendees
Some were viewers.
Many watching from home
Quickly grabbed paper and pen;
They live for such moments.

I can see the rap lyrics now...
"Black on black, like Smith against Rock"
"Word to mutha, I'mma Will Smith the competition!"
"I done Smithed them wack MCs"

Oh, it's coming, believe me.
But from whom? Who will be first?
Drake?
Wiz Khalifa?
Eminem?
Perhaps Cardi B? Hey, you never know!
Stay tuned....
Assuming you're into hip Hop.

Miss You Can Wait

Miss, you can wait!
He came in,
Then never came out,
I think,
I believe in a few minutes,
It would be over, and he would be out
Thirty minutes passed,
An hour
Two three, then he would be free,
God! It took longer,
But now I think,
I believe
I can stress it now,
That he would never be out,
And it’s time to loud my voice and shout!
Khashoooggi! Come out!
No voice no screams,
No response, no nothing,
But dead total silence,
And only the whistling wind,
And the flying vultures,
And the human hungry hyenas,
And the assassins just consumed his body,
Devoured him alive,
And the rest just melted away in the air
With no trace, no prints
No nothing, no blood stains,
It’s all a drought,
Whom do I blame?
The Istanbul Khalifa,
Or the mighty Sultan with his eighteen Dober-men
Or himself that he went in,
In the first place?
But now I doubt,
He would never return,
But think that there are hundreds of you,
Thousands like you who did not have a chance,
Like you did, to be heard,
And to be celebrated,
In style and what a style!

Al Burj Khalifa- Dubai

I
Just
Stand
Here
alone.

Factually,
A feat,
A pinnacle of
Engineering at almost
A thousand meters high,
A colossus, an omnipresence
Comparable to God-
a man made concept
advertised to exhaustion.

Amongst concrete caricature
cliche’d into postcards and keychains, I am
The subject, the focus and distinguished character;
an over- exaggerated needle in a haystack.
In status of Symbol of City, I am the entirety of the City-
Iron soaked cement stands for a point proven.

Isn’t that why you’re here?

Why exactly I was made in such manner perhaps
Remains more of a mystery to you than to me, I think.
I suppose its only a difference of our perspectives.

I cannot claim to understand it fully myself;
you’re only here to gaze into glare of glass panes,
To burn white spots into your vision;
a mirage dancing on a surface too hot to touch.

I don’t have much choice on the other hand- you put me here and made this mine.

The sun’s reflection on windows sink with the dusk,
 harsh light dulling to transparency.

Its like only I can see the red lights shine through this golden city.

Comes First

Worst at its worst..it will come first
Blood ties or drinking ties there is a connection even still
Tho storms be as dark..it will stand out as snow
Cold as it may be but so white and soaring will it stand
Some say it ain't chosen but given
I'm thinking its given.. but you have the choice to take it or not
Its not what you look at in it..its what you see
It's a weird type of glass of..unheard of
Can be broken into the tiniest pieces on earth but
Very functional will the remains be
Even more than the original glass
The world might break you but it will build you
It holds no grudges no pretence no nothing
Its one real something you can assure yourself of
Part of it can quickly come to rest
But will always hold in thy hearts the best
Its one thing that should be man's fetish
Addition and subtraction goes around it endlessly
Filled with tears of joy and sadness respectively
Its one aspect which deserves respect, love and patience
Even Wiz Khalifa sang"How can we not talk about it when its all we got"
Worst at its worst
Family comes first
