We were on fire
As flames grew higher
Vowels in choir
Two teens taking flight
Where virgin wings sprite
Upward to the moon
Twinkle lil stars boon
Fog on windows strewn
Dad's car shifted gears
In neutral she steers
His Chevy's best years
Lover's Lane at will
Rocking the night's drill
Backseat was the thrill
Joyriding the night
Under the moonlight

I brush snow from the granite headstone to reveal
your name, forever etched in words of burnished gold
Your death
hit me as hard
as the joy rider
who used a stolen car
like a battering ram
mowing you down
on your way to school
My heart is broken
I can’t come to terms
with losing my only son
I’m in deep mourning…
will my sorrow ever end
I guess only time will tell

For thirty years I was your wife
Joyriders robbed you of your life
They stole a car to have some fun
These cowards are now on the run

wishing you were here
can only chat with you online
imagining myself kissing you in the middle of nowhere
entranced by your scent
wishing you were here
can only think of you in diamond slumbers
imagining myself running my fingers up and down your smooth skin
seduced by your soft moans
wishing you were here
can only picture the sensations with my hand on my black flashlight
imagining myself experimenting with the overall effect of insertion
enticed by your whispering methods of expression
wishing you were here
can only dream of you while joyriding on the milky white way
imagining myself sampling the sweet flavors of the most hidden of your pleasure treasures
taken by your sweet cherry lollypop charm
