The Verb, To Love

The verb “ to love”

The verb «to love» is a special verb, I believe,
It is combined with only one time,
In the present of the indicative,
"I love you," you know,
Other times are made for literature
Or the songs.

Premium MemberCarny Day

Its wet and drear in London dear, the pomp in on full trope
Though hope is gone, not dead for Jesus is the only hope!
Its foolish to trust in others; dopes.' In robes and words
In fear and force, its hackneyed ethos, solid dross of course
One hundred mill, so bums can sit.' and ears listen to
Waffle and some titter, and scraps and traps such slippery
Tounges we'll no doubt hear, yet will we sum? A throne of
Gold in a nation sold, to the w e f, just same old same old.'
The crowds are thin, not much the din' dis-enchantment is
Setting in.' geriatrics in phylactics gather and throng how
Can such traversitys continue on? Food in piles is stored
Away, as childen are hungered, its the British way.' Some
Vassels also, it seems agree although; their people need
To be set free.! Free to thrive to grow and prosper, yet to no
Reason i now return, to the parody of vanitys and a useless
Crown ' thats just the head though, i'll make this clear on
A British day of pomp and drear, might he take a little trip?
Before the throne..As ascends he it.' Twould be indicative of
The wider nation, that needs a real King not this Abberation.'

Journaling

He wrote poems that were indicative
of blueberries soaked in vinegar.

He wrote of the shadows
between light and dark,
but mostly he counted the gray hairs
of thinning memories.

The more he wrote
the more crippled his dreamscapes,
he began to word-paint
an unprintable oblivion.

Snow keeps falling.
Ink turns to an Indigo mud,
a smeared script
meandering through a white blank-face.
Archaeologist have fallen asleep in his bones.

A transient darkness
pours through one eye and out the other.
The light he speaks of
is the end of a lit cigarette
in an unlit room,
the curling smoke keeps on writing.

Premium MemberNot Sp-Here-Ing the Truth

Our earth rotates with a wobbly spin.. could that be
Indicative of the presence of sin? Not perfect yet living
Maybe that's so.? yet here's another truth many won't know'
A ball of Release was created and run where the sun
Starts to shine, while in the earth's north; there is none'
Reports from dead media, deny it was done.?
Yet I saw so many all enjoying their fun, it was titled
For freedom though to close it some tried,
For to smile is now frowned on; and no singing inside.'
Like the scouring of 'the shire' in the Lord of the rings
How could it happen? In tightening things.?
Fear was It's trigger; as deadly claims just grew bigger
In their 70 and 80s people's actions escape me.!
They'll do the mask-task, but ever do they ask?
How they lived to this good age.? Were their mothers
So.. Unsage.? I'm sure they would cry if all this came
To their eyes.' This insult to good reason cap's
The silliest of seasons.!

Moods

It looks funny
To so many
That, verbs have moods
And attitudes!

On their way out
Some stare wide pout,
Going, not gone,
They linger on.

Obsolescent
As if on Lent,
Not obsolete,
Down in a pit!

In a death bed,
But not yet dead!

Epigram |07.09.2021| Humour

Poet’s Note: A poet is generally confronted with Muses, very rarely with moods of his poetic diction. This one is a tangential take off from moods of a verb: Indicative, Imperative, and Subjunctive. The third one is now largely obsolescent, if not already obsolete, on its way out, if not gone, in a death bed, if not duly dead.

Premium Member- Hope For Tomorrow -

Everything in my past,
has shaped me into who I am today

Daughter I'm fine
Thinking on all the years we had
which you today opt out of
Actions, decisions and choices

My world is hushed and silent
No laughter from grandchildren
every soft embrace is faded

A million words would not brings you back,
none of your puzzle pieces fit together

There is pain on both sides
Daughter I hope you are fine
I cannot live with drama and lies

We often want to avoid unpleasant feelings
and lose touch with who we are

But you must be ready
and emotionally available
Our emotions are a compass
indicative when we makes choices

Nothing is impossible
you are a part of my heart

Suspended

Suspended in a setting
Nestled in the sky,
Water droplets bound
Surfaces release upon the earth.

Meristems divide
Flowers appear flourishing,
Indicative of rebirth
A new beginning.

A dreamlike vision
Bound from droplets
That are no longer
Suspended, in the sky.

Premium MemberShe Was An Artist

She was an artist.
Her expertise was flowers and butterflies.
This new art teacher said they had to draw a man.
He had to be anatomical. It had to be indicative of muscles.

What about eyes? She asked. Can I give him green eyes?
Eyes and eyelashes were also fun for her.
No eyes or butterflies! He said sternly.
She kept her mouth shut, wisely not mentioning flowers.

The art teacher was satisfied.
This student was too quick-witted and smart.
He was better with students who were compliant and diffident.
He understood them better.

She knew her Pollyanna attitude irritated people.
But she barely knew him, so that could not be it.
She tried to control herself, but of course, flowers sprung out.
Just like they did in every painting she ever painted.

Premium MemberMarija Was Blatantly Alluring

Marija was blatantly alluring which is what attracted him in the first place.
Her name was not exotic, but her attitude was.
Her whimsical manners and masterful life steps were a joy to watch.
There was a quirkiness about her that drew all of us in, even the women.
She was a Romanian gypsy queen who danced with scarves
And sparkled with silver shimmering spangles.
Mesmerized, we watched her from every corner of the room.
Who is she? My uncle Jim wanted to know, asking everyone.
I knew then that his carousing days were over.
She was masterful, I will give her that.
A free standing, freewheeling, free spirit of a woman.
Sensual, sexual, and seriously seductive.
My uncle had been a lone wolf for nigh onto thirty years.
We watched him that night, seeing the tremendous effect Marija had over him.
Indicative of the effect she would have on him for the rest of his life actually.

Premium MemberJanuary

June may have its treats and July will certainly have its heat

August's end is indicative that a cooldown is headed my way

Nothing is always certain about January rains but never say never

Uniquely suited to begin the year is a beautiful name like January

Airy, icy, windy, snowy, chili, cold, and freezy, are not as beautiful

Rice fields after heavy rains are favorite feasting grounds for birds

Yes, it's true that you best keep your umbrella handy in case of rain
