Premium MemberClassic Reel

in the 1940s many movie comedies dealt with heaven
hell, reincarnation, the devil, angels, body snatching
I get a channel called Classic Reel with my Roku
The movies shown are from the 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and 60’s

I saw three of these shows this week
the one about hell was spooky in black and white
maybe more creepy than if it had been in color
they were plausible, warm, and witty

I got reintroduced to Betty Grable, Betty Hutton
Bob Hope, Bing Cosby, and Jimmie Stewart
They were intriguing shows, amusing
I was not bored, I was intrigued
Plots much more entertaining than today’s movies

The River Lune

I breathe as softly as a little bird
Like the robin did in Arnside Wood
Quick yet calm, who for some food would dare.

The view from Arnside Knot is broad and fair
The atmosphere is pure, we see trains chug
The Estuary of the Kent will never bore

Further South the Lune runs like old tears
Morecambe Bay endangers, how it floods
Behind the Pennines rise, the edges fierce

Dent is ancient, mobile phones won’t dare
To penetrate the music of its blood
Nor bring their tones to hurt the mad March hare

Hutton Roof , cathedral, how we stared
A gentle hand caressed my heart to good
Meek flowers grew in the cracks as safe,as pure

How my heart expands and I am glad
For mourning heals and I am no more sad
I breath as softly as a little bird
I tiptoe on the path the peace is sha

Bobby Hutton's Eyes

Bobby Hutton’s eyes
I see cops killing a teenager.
I see a vision.
I see Bobby Hutton’s eyes.
Bobby Hutton was a man a young man that was a panther for justice and peace.
His Vision that he saw was making a change a change that one day the world will not fear prejudices and negative things that we see.
The eyes of Bobby Hutton was a prophet that kept on seeing and doing things to protect the community and poverty we are living in.
Bobby’s eyes are strong and so touching.
When those white racist cops killed innocent Bobby it was painful and heartbreaking.
Bobby was a solider
Bobby was a prophet
Bobby was a rider.
Bobby was a great teenager before he died.
And Bobby had a vision that one day the world will not fear darkness or hatred but the light and the love that is needed in everybody’s spirit.
April 21 , 1950 – April 6 , 1968
Rest in Peace Bobby Hutton

Premium MemberMy Debut At Cricket

Sir Leonard Hutton famous for cricket
Idolized him yet we played in the snicket
His bat willow three springs and all
Ours a joke no umpire to call
Yet did dream of 'Lords' having took a wicket.

Alfred Hitchcock,
known for his awe and shock.
May have tried to impress Betty Hutton,
by surgically removing his belly button.

His belly button was surgically removed !!
