Hospitals are designed
(a) to make you appreciate your bed at home
(b) to prompt many unanswerable questions
(c) to facilitate smooth patient care
(d) to never complain about your wife’s cooking again
Referrals to a psychiatrist are made when
(a) you become catatonic after having no sleep for a week
(b) after complaining about a noisy roommate you start convulsing with frustration
(c) you ask the nurse for a sleeping aid and she brings
warm milk
(d) You are all set for discharge but the Dr is delayed in surgery all day
Reflecting on a hospital stay makes you
(a) wonder how you survived the long nights
(b) vow never to eat chicken broth again
(c) appreciate there are no drafts behind when you get up for a walk
(d) note how quiet the house really is
Let he who is with out sin cast the first stone
A mother is worthless, because she lives alone
A young man is branded, because a name of a street
Sneering of food banks, and the need to eat
Just hate him because of his love of a man
Leer at the beggar, who earns what he can
Twisting of young minds, with religious belief
Or instilling hatred, with patriotic, grinding teeth
Blame the junkie because of choices that were made
Ridicule the old as their looks start to fade
Show disdain as they pour on to our shores
Forget how we stole, what was theirs is now yours
Have hatred for the man who cant pay his rent
Scorn on the bum who's youth was misspent
Question a man because of the colour of his skin
Remove hospital care, till the fat man gets thin
Don't question my values till you analyse your own, for
Let he who is with out sin cast the first stone
The Organ Grinder is Grinding
The monkey isn't there
He ate to many bananas
Now he's in Hospital care
The Grinder keeps on turning
He's grinding that old crank
He's looking for donations
To put into his Bank
He's under lots of pressure
To pay the hospital bills
The monkey bit the doctor
He didn't want any pills
Life is such a grind
With a Monkey on his back
The doctor sued for all he's worth
Now he's living in a shack
