  ~ The weather has many faces ~ whistling in the headwind ~ quote by poet

  Natural and repetitive elements
  in the sound of the wind slow down restless thoughts
      Observe the thoughts without judging or interpret
                        avoid depressive rumination just let go
  A breath of wind touched your cheek so gently
      Happiness is fleeting not a cliché
                        a lovely feeling, dancing as a whirlwind
  The constant wind which makes the strings tinkle
      It blows wherever it wants, strong or weak

  The gentle wind reminds me of relaxing
      pan flute music, sensitively without words
  Indigenous music did not die out
    it is carried by the wind all over the globe
            Can neither be controlled, planned nor ordered
            With invisible bows the wind carries away
    Progress require you to loosen the moorings
      The wind ruffles your hair and the waves sing
      It's wonderful to feel the forces of nature
                      Listen carefully – it's full of presence

Action And Reaction

Isaac Newton is said to have stated,
'For every action,
or force in nature,
there is an equal and opposite reaction.'
And the proof in his pudding is...
If I exert myself
in search of who knows what I want to be,
it also brings to bear
an equal and opposite influence on me.
As, by doing so,
my own headwind I create,
which inhibits my progress,
and the harder I push, or fixate,
the more resistance I set up,
so to speak,
and the farther away I am
from finding whatever it is I seek.
Indubitably, it's a rule of thumb,
the more forward I go,
all the further behind I become,
but is it better to do nothing at all,
than beat my head against
an invisible brick wall?

Premium MemberSlow Flight

Let's write some songs together
I don't mean musically
Although it's music that we'll make
It's for no one to see
Tune up the guitar strings
Dynamics hard and soft
Ready now for takeoff
I'll check the winds aloft

Searching for a headwind
We won't fly very fast
With this we need to take our time
Make every moment last
Counting in now, 1-2-3
It's time for us to go
The bluebird and her troubador
Songs long and deep, and slow

Premium MemberBy Dark Fears Pinned

By dark fears pinned; heaven and hell
False beliefs shrivel soul
Once lower desires, we do quell
We expand, feeling whole

We are love, we are light
Bliss that does not alight
Shining by day and night

We've never sinned
By dark fears pinned

~~~
By dark fears pinned, though were born free
Oh lama, exit mind
Once head and heart, with love agree
Delusion does not bind
We are He, do not cringe
Live life not on the fringe
From lower mind, unhinge
Ego's headwind
By dark fears pinned
Following
Following the tumor blooms
that muted my throat and gut,
I duct taped my mind
to the wordless, I put my head down
charging at daggers, and
thanks to pain bullets and cancer bombs
my thoughts are catching a little headwind.
I'm looking at a sea otter floating on its back
agilely playing with stones,
it’s definitely working the crowd.
I'm looking at a lion staring into a camera,
under its heavy paw a gazelle is also staring into a lens;
are they waiting for applause?
I'm looking through a shop window
at televisions that are
revealing all this, plus my gazing reflection.
We can all do better, more rehearsals
will eventually take our perfect picture,
meanwhile it’s important to look good
as time stops, then continues to drain away
in its usual hazardous way.
Drying its wings and held arrows chasing
As a racer, always on the move
Thinking of effect and cause ... everything has its price
Never shoot arrows in headwind
To beat the blue grass ~ the golden arrows
Work accidents with consequences
Light the Way
When the world spins too fast,
and life's worries drench every part,
please look to the One above,
for He will help you past
Life's bound to knock you around,
but stay strong in its headwind,
for only He will stand beside,
and keep you from being drowned
Now go walk in His way,
with love and peace being yours,
because there is only the One,
who lights the sun every day!
Young Spirit
I’ll carry you in my loud cheer
With my heartbeat lift you into fifth gear
Use my last strength to push you onto glory
With legs striding like chariots of fire
Be a force, run faster than the headwind
Be a legend, aim beyond the limits of a narrow mind
Burn with a hope brighter than a scorching furnace
Yearn for so much more than this mere promise
May your faith, shine through with each gold medallion
Glow with pride atop the podium with each number one position
Face life’s challenges head-on and earn your top spot
May your young spirit always stay lit
I pray you grow to tower tall when faced with giants
To never cower nor surrender in spite of your of demons
I’ll be your second wind when you’re tired
My love be your torch to share a flame, till the bitter end
To my son...
An excellent pupil and a gifted athlete
...I'm proud of you.
When Bloodhounds Fly
My Bloodhound is a dreamer and he thinks that he can fly,
And his ears are plenty big enough to give it an honest try.
When we are out walking and we turn into a headwind breeze,
He sniffs the air and looks into the sky well above the trees.
Then he will fall back a bit to give the leash some extra slack,
When he lunges into the air it's altitude not attitude he'll lack.
A willing heart is what he has, he knows he's meant to sail,
With ears for wings his feet for gear and a rudder that's a tail.
And he might be disappointed when his four feet hit the ground,
But he will only show a smiling face when he turns around.
Because he sees himself in the clouds and one more thing I know,
He takes delight in watching me dangle from the leash below.
The Linda-Marie
The Linda-Marie
I venture on down to the harbor, smelling the salt of the sea
Where waiting in anticipation is my sloop the Linda-Marie
In silence she sits while I board her, and cast her lines aside
Like a colt running free in the meadow, she strains to be untied
Slowly we move through the water, heading on out to the sea
I thrill at the freedom that grips me, on the sloop called the Linda-Marie
The wind is stiff from the starboard, the breakwater now far astern
The ocean is waiting to greet us, we hear the shrill call of a tern
As we address a headwind, filling out the sails
The Linda-Marie meets the challenge, as against the whitecaps she rails
Yawing to hold her position, she rises to meet each new swell
We hold our course at eight knots, a speed she handles well
Time I'm afraid is fleeting, and to soon we must return
Ending our adventure, once again the ocean spurned
We bump against the pilings, making sure she can't break free
I relish the time spent together, just me and the Linda-Marie
