One More For the Road 5 For Mike Harriman

June 28, 2007

He enters the forest with the metal tooth beast in hand
Gently he touches the tree as if he understands
The tree's fear and its individual personality
As he notices a slight lean
A pull on the string and soon he's in business
Putting out of his mind this will never again be a haven for a nest
The wood is smoothly chewed by the beast with a loud eerie sound
The smell of saw dust is fragrant all around
Until at last the lady in a moment is ready to fall
And he lays her right down and the earth shakes from it all
His heart pounds, an instant adrenaline rush to his body flows
For every good cutter has to know where the tree going to go
It's a matter of life and death as the birds call out in warning
As they lay nestled up upon a far away branch of a relative ,adorning
Now as he stands, victorious, the tree tamer
And his wife begs him to get a new trade but can you blame her?
He may leave the woods but one day he will return again
With his luck in his back pocket, tempting fate with his gas powered friend

Creating Graves To Rob

Prescott Bush proved his moxie
as war-profiteer proxy
with brother Harriman
since shame can't bury them
when suggestions turn Nazi.
