My dear can we somehow meet in the middle
Our eyes say yes, and our hearts say yes
Yet the river of life is rapidly going by
With no waterfall in sight
It would be nice if we could stream as one
In that golden pond under sunny skies
Us, two swans swimming in harmony
In the past, we were like two playful ducks
That duck, fight and quack
For that last morsel of food on the ground
It's like we enjoy needling each other
Can the weather change for the better
Between us and especially between our hangups
I see that Valentine's is right behind the corner
There could be a cupid's arrow between us
We'll never know if Jack and Jill went up the hill
Can you please answer my call
And be my Valentine once and for all

Caged and Chained

Locked in a cage,
Bound by chains,
I’m a prisoner of fear,
Full of growing pains
And afraid of change
In a future that is near.

From all the struggles,
I seek release,
Relief from what troubles,
The ability to be humble
And a way to achieve inner peace.

I no longer swing
From the ropes of shame,
Instead I sing of
The beauty after the rain.

Break free,
Of doing the same,
Day to day,
So afraid of change.
Don’t fear uncertainty,
Or the retrograde of mercury.

Welcome each blessing
As a new beginning
And life’s way of testing,
Look for the deeper meaning.

Life is full of hardships
That try to make you afraid,
But don’t let those hangups
Keep you ashamed.

Remember,
Faith over fear.
When it rains it pours
And that’s why we pray.
God reached down
And lifted the cage,
He cut the chains
That bound me to solid ground.
He knew that I was meant to be free
And now,
Even through blinding fear
I can see.

HE’S THE DEAREST
    ALEX NELSON

He’s the dearest
The nearest
The man with
The miles
Who took
All the hard
Times
And left us
With smiles

He’s the dearest
Not nearest
For the miles
A long run
Yet when
You pick
Up the phone
The fun’s
Just begun!

He’s the clearest
My dearest
My Dad with
No cares
Just carpet
And some slippers
With black coffee
Sitting there

He’s the always
No hangups
With hands
Always tough
With get up and
Take the time
When my enough
Is ENough!

He’s been there
Not did that
Yet the length
Is a cord
Like pick
Me up
With slow down
AN did you see
“That's a Ford!”

He’s a long mile
A great smile
Yet the brush
Is not new
Like way back
With all heart's
Attached
The missed
Just a few

Like my dad
Not really sad
And happy
All the while
Like see ya soon
And not so
For a 1000 is
The miles

So line them up
The candle light
With no tests
Just the rest
Like see ya
There and
You are rare
And A
Dad
Simple Best

He 's dearer
And clearer
Not near
Yet alway fine
Like up
Here and
Down there
For a son with
A dad that is
Mine

Hold the Phone

Incoming ...
distress missive call
Hangups on the other side
of the continental divide cellular room
Mushroom sobs of insecurity
click end of volatile transmission
Redialitis sparks an emotional kaboom

Hold the phone ...
busy signal
blocks the aural unnecessary
audio carrying on

Listen to the sick, sad drone
of earworm  infection
Party line frienemy chatter —
rumor skullduggery
lip shake the skeleton bones

Wireless ...
discredit babble cry is on the blame install
Wronged directory
sent bye-bye a phantom victimized 911 call

Hangups on the teary-eye side
of the bleary divide
Insecure tremors rattle the room
Situation report bleak ...
relationship on a carrier gloom
Moby D pigeon chirps want the last speak
Mushroom wails
spark splash a cellular kaboom

Hold the phone ...
fade-to-black signal
buries the raised decibel unnecessary
verbal carrying on

Silence transmits an air golden tone;
as needless, exhale worriations
of arrhythmic heart palpitations
get disconnected lung distance long

And the bad karma vibrations
beep off-the-tower power grid gone

Just Drop the Out

We will conquer the moon
And force the people to walk on water
We are all powerful
Revolutionary
And dangerous
Unglued from the state's cultural apparatus of
Dead end institutions nightmare entertainment
 Hollow arts media monsters masters of power
Politics hoarding controling manipulating the
Entire informational flow subtly twisting the very
Ways in which we move and perceive in reality
Screaming in silence for far to many eons
We have discovered the power of our voice
And the radiant music that opens up the door
To pure being
The celebration of total individuality
We will not revolt
This is not a rebellion
This is a divorce
A final  you
This is an open invitation
The ultimate party
An utter let go of all hangups
A shedding of the garbage cultures skin
A dance on the edge of a rainbow
This is the impossible birth of something NEW

Encourage Not Discourage

Encourage not discourage;
Motivate not hate;
Sin Not Again;
Why not try;
Desire not expire;
Exist not resist;
Constructive not destructive;
Strategy not tragedy;
Charm not harm;
Care not dare;
Journal not nocturnal;
Optimist not pessimist;
We cannot let others hangups become our hang ups. All hang ups need to be hung out to dry. Remember
Merton's Self-fulfiling prophecy.

Guaranteed Place In Greatness

Seperate distances from falls
Hangups and calls
Dilusional deceitful did wrongs
Covered up lies stories short prolongs

Drained energies like stings from bees
Honey sipped dried out coffee
Steamed stiff tea blown back aught to be
Chased with hot toties rude bodies wearing wrong clothes to mock thee

Could it be a stranger of hate all this time
Sent demised messages in a bottle to waste time
To committ a crime because of their own insecurities
Too afraid to step out vision blurred

Lines masking the real perception who to be
Standing on mountains sun shinning down to see
Uncovering madness mistaken for comfortability
Opened eyes payed for many destinies to see

Vision changed the name on the tunnel
Narrow it maybe a new session concerned rebuttal
Stuff that made no since at all
But since had since enough to Answer the correct call
