Old Bones

With age come aches and pains and, too,
A stiffening of joints
With movements thus restricted
On the body’s weakest points.

So hips and neck and hamstrings
And especially the knees
Announce that they’re eroding
As they tighten up and seize.

Though exercise and heating pads
May help you to regroup,
Those old bones might be better off
To make a base for soup!

Peccant Words
Written: by Miracle Man
4/20/2020

Peccant words should remain unspoken,
and unsuppressed thoughts are just the same.
Many, let words fly, and hearts are broken,
* but it’s the heart, not mouth that’s to blame.

Sometimes Satan tempts us with certain things,
but temptation becomes sin only if we surrender.
When God sees surrender, our witness He hamstrings,
And in the eyes of others we’ve become a pretender.

* Matthew 12:34 (KJV)
34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

-why Do We Worry

breeze of flute
in the bamboo
woods
she blows out
blazing butterflies
of red yellow and
blue
patterns lost in the
distance
hamstrings are taut
we are de escalating
clusters of huts in
the destroyed villages
of the greedy war
black roads curve like
snakes
tiny movements in
the man made paths
why do we worry

Muscle Memory

 Muscle Memory

Looking in the mirror,

I am getting older;
the loss of muscle mass

Sink-holing the skin
with pockmarks and the sagging

of my triceps and hamstrings
shows me so.

Ten pounds for every ten years, they say.
With such drastic loss of muscle memory

I soon forget how to crawl.

Fork In Hand

The natural state is
shameful.
The skin,
once smooth
               now calice
drownding in rich fragrance and
creams

Hair is plucked, cut, shaped, and
trimmed.

Animal instincts our squashed
with regulation and normalness.

Our eyes seek, wishing to
pounce
              But our hamstrings are cut;
unable to spring.
A human is what is told to be
There is no humaneness...
              just an animal being
pampered by rosy makeup

Roots are buried
our skin is sinful

Few sane remain
             frowned upon
by proper citizens who love
to demonstrate proper behavior.

Bungeye Bert

Now Bungeye Bert was a bit of A SQUIRT....
And came from the bush you see....
Had a squinty eye an open fly....
Was bandy round the knee....
He came to Brissy town this day....Brisbane
First time in the big big smoke...
Rolled his swag out in the park to lay....
Till the evil thugs did croak....
swag on fire, soon it was a blazer ....
They started kicking him around...
He groped in his boot, the razor ...
He slashed any hamstrings that he found....
Slashing just above the heel....
They started dropping all around....
Good old Bengal razor steel....
With 3 hamstrung as they kicked him....
They weren't too happy hey....
They lay screaming on the ground with him....
poor thugs just crawled away.....

A Fix For Head Kickers

Bung eye Bert

Now Bung eye Bert was a bit of a squirt
And came from the bush you see
Had a squinty eye, an open fly
Was bandy round the knee

He came to Brissy town this day
First time in the big big smoke
Rolled his swag out in the park to lay
Till the evil thugs did croak

Swag on fire, soon it was a blazer
They started kicking him around
He groped in his boot, the razor
He slashed hamstrings that he found
Slashing just above the heel
They started dropping all around
Good old Bengal razor steel

With 3 hamstrung while they kicked him
They weren’t too happy hey
They lay screaming on the ground, bit grim
Poor thugs just crawled away.
