Guanine Poems

Premium MemberNew Little Brother

My mom and dad did not know
that I was a genius. It didn't show.
I was nothing like the other boys
when I grabbed a box of tinker toys
and paired it with adenine and thymine,
planning something you've never seen.
With cytosine and guanine in the mix,
I added DNA to my bag of tricks,
along with fish dad pulled from the lake
and some raw meat mom was fixing to bake.
I put it together, one after another.
Soon, I'd constructed a new little brother.

Discrimination of Human Over the Years

Discrimination of human being over the years
It was an un answered question for me for all these years
I have been searching ,asking ,finding the answer
For all these years
I have found an answer to myself
Happiness is the prime key, aspect for a human being to discriminate the other..
Yes ,happiness is the key factor for discrimination

Human finds happiness in degrading others in terms of character ,in terms of culture.
Caste discrimination in india
Color discrimination in America
Country might be different but the character of human will be the same ,The gene behaviour is the same ,human being happiness lies in discriminating the others..human gene never likes equality .
The adenine thymine guanine cytosine likes no equality discrimination lies in the genes..
Happiness is the key for all human being who have been discriminating others over the years.
Human gene likes no equality..
human likes discrimination in reality

Paradoxically Happy and Unhappy

Shambling alone on the periphery of human warmth
Shorn of friendship
Ostracized from faith
Limited in contacts to nuclear kinship

Sausage-linked by an umbilical cord
In aeons
Saturated with discord
In the darkness away from candelas lumens of neons

Reduced to a bag of misery bones
Away from feelings
In war-weary zones
Teeming with sleazy dealings

Fed up with life
Terrorized by famine
Enveloped in knife led strife
In portions of guanine

In the DNA inherited
From dotting parents I love
Greeted and treated
With respect on Earth and from above

But, I feel so forlorn
Although I pretend to be happy
When on my own
I feel within my soul so unloved, unwanted and utterly unhappy.

Four Plex Permute

about 25k of DNA
that's all we got
for expressions to say
but more than a lot

adenine and cytosine,
long to interlace,
guanine and thymine
to make a living base

all stewed in nucleotides
helixed turns so linked
is what makes life's ride
to all organisms distinct

finned salmon fishes
grizzlies and finches
appointed life's wishes
for nature, it's a cinch

too, flies and butterflies
anaconda's and darter snails
life's supplies in disguise
diversity of crittered tales

it's puzzling to piece
just how life can do it
with near-infinite increase
of its proteined tool kit

switched on proteins
morph winged extremities
to myriad of in-betweens
and other of life's remedies

go for it, life says
make a smash, make a mistake
live it to the hilt
all ways alive, for life's sake

When Dad Is a Biology Major

When Dad is a Biology Major

By Elton Camp

I liked to give an answer complete
With specific details to be replete

Child’s, “What are girls made of?”
Brought information too far above

C, H, N, O and not too many more
The explanation proved to be a bore

Nitrogenous bases purine & pyrimidine
Are found in the DNA molecule I mean

Adenine, guanine, thymine, cytosine
With P and deoxyribose sugar are seen

In this wonderful helix they all lie
“Daughter, you can see it if you try.”

My answer was far too complex
About replication, gametes and sex

Since all she was really asking to hear
Was repeat of a nursery rhyme, I fear
