How happy is he born or taught
That serveth not another's will;
Whose armour is his honest thought,
And simple truth his utmost skills!
Whose passions not his masters are;
Whose soul is still prepared for death,
Untied unto the world by care
Of public fame or private breath;
Who envies none that chance doth raise,
Nor vice;who never understood
How deepest wounds are given by praise;
Nor rules of state,but rules of good;
Who hath his life from rumours freed;
Whose conscience is his strong retreat;
Whose state can neither flatterers feed,
Nor ruin make oppressors greate;
Who God doth late and early pray
More of his grace than gifts to lend;
And entertains the harmless day
With a religious book or friends;
This man is freed from servile bands
O' hope to rise or fear to fall:
Lord of himself,though not of lands,
And having nothing,yet hath all.

Tears of Absence
To
Oyedokun Simeon: My Beloved
friend
when my yearning becomes a
letter
Lost inside dust of time
This poem will deliver my feeling
To you Simeon the son of
Oyedokun
For home is always home,
For only those who stay
when flame of war erupts
Frienship is not for coward
And struggle is not for fragile
hearts
Life is not always smooth sailing
It has its ups and downs,
Smiles and frows
There is no success without
failure
Hardship and pain, you have to
endure
Don't give up!
Simeon, when my song becomes
a melody
Of tears it is only because of
you!
My poem is not for pall - bearers
But I read dirge in your absence
Or is there anything to compare
with
Absence of the death?
But we won't die the son of
Oyedokun
For our friendship is a destiny
of tomorrow
Through we are way - farers
Simeon, Remember! Remember!!
Greate things could be achieve
tonight
we need to struggle with all our
might
Though when everything
becomes cloudy
Surely, we would reach the top
And succeed one day.

every day I try to hold back the pain
missing you is hard for me to obtain
nowing now I will never be the same
as I hold back I refrain from complain
as I sit and contemplate I hold on to who made me greate
dealing with life and not haveing you
there was so much more that I wanted to do
I hade hopes to give you your dreams
I can only thank the lord I was there when you left me
you were always there and had the best for me
if ever there was a problem that I couldent get
you always had the answere to each and every bit
all the love that I hold inside it comes from watching you
no matter the question you always spoke the truth
any situation you knew what to do
you always be my best friend and I will always
love you
