Gorgons Poems | Examples

Quailimore Drive

The strangiest livestreet of all the days,
No place so perfectly townsplit,
Half of this street is in Fillblubber,
And the other half is in Cawbit.

The Nensorays on the Fillblubber side,
Never utter or cry or caportle.
The house as soundpinched as olimats,
No one knows why they are so fortle.

The Packershaws on the Cawbit side,
Own a dwelling that is so farumtious.
They pride themselves in gorgons of riches,
Unaware they are oh so varaitious.

The Xebaisys on the Fillblubber side,
Have a flogarden the morost serene.
It’as only eshalias and gymions,
Any else is a destorphious weed.

Lastly, the Larpins on the Cawbit side,
Never passtimers in their humblethy home,
Always wogging or waving or whisinging,
With no newsilly noise becom’ere own

A few other neighdwells are on the street,
But they are soridon and mundane.
Maybe they’et a corbin of chance,
When they feel somelse than kiffer pain

A place where love carfuffles and kings,
Where skipperly children run and play.
Nowhere is so Bretumptian awill remain,
The strangiest livestreet of all the days.

Precepts of the Aegis-Holder

"Precepts of the Aegis-Holder"

no gorgons here
but 3 of one, yes?
shields raise
back the dead
to life

and phoenix
from the ashes
spreads its burning wings
feathers of blue
now gold, tra-la notes,

messages burning
rising upwards, it sings

and the hounds noble
stand their ground
under tree of life
the wisdom drops from leaves
like tears, black pearls

in for a penny,
in for a pound

what say you?
to the manor born?, or
light of life?, by now
it does not matter
for all is found, surely,

in each
the other

"A chattering crow lives out nine generations of aged men,
but a stag's life is four time a crow's,
and a raven's life makes three stags old,
while the phoenix outlives nine ravens,
but we, the rich-haired Nymphs
daughters of Zeus the aegis-holder,
outlive ten phoenixes"

A Politicians Promises

Your Words fall like rain drops
And there meanings disappear
They just melt away
Like a snow flake on a rainy day
Politicians promises soon fade away

Would I like to buy a chocolate fire guard
Or the autograph of the man in the moon
a bubble for a spirit level
they are snake oil salesmen
Politicians promises soon fade away

like unicorns and gorgons
Politicians promises are myths
they disappear like will o wisp
appear like a genie of the lamp on election day
Politicians promises soon fade away

Apocalypse---

Abortive gorgons cling.
Political messiahs creep.
Other dystopias eschew.
Called messiahs lament.
American messiahs laze.
Lyrical raptures luxuriate.
Youthful doomsayers linger.
Private revelations lurk.
Startling revelations cower.
Environmental catastrophes cavort.

Inhuman

Inhuman is what this act is
When will this madness cease?
My heart wants to howl today
How one man turned the lives of those parents gray
Can you not see what is wrong here?
Not another moment of this craziness I can bear!
Wake up from your sleep you morons
How many more have to die to stop these gorgons
How many more kids have to sacrifice their beautiful lives?
How long do we have to live on the edge of knives?
I wish I could do anything to help those in pain
Lawmakers don’t let those countless deaths be in vain.

Halloween,Halloween

I shiver at the thought of being attacked by owls,
My home infested by Carols' pesky trolls,
A fire breathing dragon, flying around in the lobby,
Or a hand crawling around searching for it's body,
A hunchback with six eyes in his head,
Or zombies walking around calling themselves, the living dead,,,

I am scared of bats, turning into vampires,
Gorgons hopping around, throwing balls of fire,
Werewolves with scars,Chuckies with stitches,
And that big hairy bump on the nose of witches,
Blood running from the nozzle when I turn on the faucet,
Or skeletons and the Boogieman playing cards in the closet,,,

Right now i'm in a dark, dark room, hiding under the bed,
Features of my face growing taller, changing the shape
of my head,
Fingernails becoming fangs,eyes turning red,
GRRRR!!!it's HOLLOWEEN again,a night of feast
for the rising dead,,,

Woo the woman
Love the lady
Mellow the maiden
Manage the maid
Garnish the girl
Dazzle the damsel
Bar the bimbo
Latch the lass
Silence the siren
Moor the mermaid
Net the nymph
Madden the madam
Tame the tart
Court the courtesan
Nudge the nurse
Null the nun
Shun the spinster
Strap the stewardess
Venerate the virgin
Vex the vixen
Vacate the vamp
Curb the coquette
Con the concubine
Whack the whore
Whip the wench
Pooh-pooh the prostitute
Slam the ****
Harem the harlot
Screw the shrew
Dally with a divorcee
Eschew the enchantress
Wallop the witch
Garb Godiva
Jail Jezebel
Lambaste Lilith
