Alone,
the dog outrides the flock,
warning away the terrors of night.
He sees
the cheery glow of the shepherds’ fire,
murmured talk and quiet laughter
float past him softly
on the chill autumn breeze.
He longs
to sit with them beside the light,
sharing avidly
(tongue lolling,
slyly smiling)
in their good-natured jokes
but that is not his place:
He is a dog and no man
and his place is outside
in the dark, a sentinel.
He sees
the sleeping flock,
pressed body to body to hold their warmth,
and longs
to lie in their midst as one of them,
dreaming sheeply dreams,
but that is not his place:
He is a dog and no sheep
and must remain awake outside
to guide strays back to the fold.
The flock stirs anxiously and bleats.
His ears prick, he hears it too,
the tugging untamed howl
of wild wolves in the night.
The ancient wolf in him
longs
to melt into the forest,
romping with them
on their feral haunts,
but that is not his place either:
He is a dog and no wolf
and his place is beside the flock.

Deep in Black Forest
lives a good-natured ghost
whose eyes are like Nebula
a blurry blue
He Slithers along
steeply falling terrain
where ravine-like dark valley
drops deadly low
Every Lunar night
near Cascading waters
He camps to sing by the grave
of his lost girl
Serpentine river
dragging along cold air
gushes forth Myriad rifts
roars with the ghost
All through the white night
he wails, whispers with Lilt
at dawn he disappears with
Phosphorous smile

Scrappy, pugnacious
a fighter from birth
The wee lad felled giants
of super-sized girth
Spectators cheered him on
there was no dearth
of the bubbly downed afterward
and good-natured mirth
They say, ‘The Bigger They Are, the Harder they Fall'
of those who stand tall ‘n rigid, not flexible at all
Ya gotta bend with the wind and go with the flow
‘cos if you stand there stock upright
~ Down you will go

This poem may have some lampoonery
Because the character has a bit of buffoon-ary
A lanky jokester who loves to play
With mirth and joy you see right away
His honest guffaws gives me a chuckle
He is not a brute; never raises a knuckle
He pulls a few tricks, but none of them are mean
A good-natured Joe, sense of humor fit for a queen.

we should not be worry about problems
they make us stronger and more powerful
do not be sad, do not worry be quite happy
good natured tolerance of delay is cool
anyway, things should have their times

Best job I never had was being tickle secretary to a pink dragon, Chad.
I had twenty-six job before I met him, and believe me, they were all bad.
Tickled him every hour from his tail to his gigantic fire-breathing nose.
He laughed like hyena pack who had stayed all night in a bar until close.
If he guffawed too hard, I had to mop up the room and well beyond too.
The great news, is that Chad was good-natured and fun, never ever blue.
Spending time with him was a delight, I never got tired of working with him.
Now I clean up a grizzly bear with a toothache, his name is growly Jim.

So, the glistening aim noticeably passes by,
So, the dangerous motion formidably goes by,
So, the unknown one remains unknown for the time being,
So, one is ahead of the petty singing.
The one and only is good-natured and well-behaved,
He is favoured and well-blessed.
Though the great Guide is sacrificed, done and dusted,
The honest being is fit, fine, and well-crafted.
The physical existence is going to be dealt with,
The mirrored organizations are going to vote for the myth.
The glass is going to be blurred by its connotations,
The pure man is defined by his situations.
The window is becoming larger day by day,
The commentators are solitary soldiers in their own way.
The perception is becoming blinded,
The light is the only lie that is provided.
Here, the perfect human is the representative of his species,
Here, he has grown up with his lengthy speeches.
Here, he is no longer unknown or unfeasible to catch,
And therefore, he has everything else to match.

Z is pronounced Zee in the USA
Great Britian calls it Zed every day
Believe it or not good-natured linguists, the ampersand
Was once the twenty-seventh letter of the alphabet, my friend
Franklin wanted to eliminate five letters of the alphabet in his day
But the Americans would not agree to this censorship in any way
Four thousand new words are added to the English Dictionary each year
A fact in a book, but the why of this is certainly not clear

Matt’s dog was a sweetie, a retriever who loved everyone
New female friend thought bringing her cat would be fun.
The dog was giddy, glad to have a new furry friend.
Until the cat got persnickety and bit him hard on the rear end.
The dog gave a yelp and ran off to hide from the beast.
Jim tried to bandage his tail; he apologized at least.
His new amour laughed; said she had a ferocious cat.
This was the end of her relationship with good-natured Matt.

I am looking for honest, kind, trustful
Respectful and good looking man
With good sense of humor
Chemistry is more important
Than any set ideas
I am a good natured woman
With the sense of humor
And ability to understand
And accept other people’s thoughts
Even if they are different to mine
I can be a good wife
And a caring and loving mother
I value family and relationships
Between the members of the family
I like traveling, love nature and animals
I like to spend my time in the open air
Being with my friends
And I enjoy every minutes
Of happiness and joy.

I sat upon couches and couches
To search for a new one to buy,
Yet each had a negative aspect,
Though my husband gave each one a try.
Some had shapes that I didn’t approve of,
Others colors that had no appeal.
Quite a few were so deep, my legs dangled
And I hated how that made me feel.
We saw fabrics and leathers and pillows,
Most of which I rejected on sight,
But we finally found one, not perfect,
Though much better than merely all right.
Did we buy it? Not yet, but I’m thinking,
For I need time to sit and decide
And my good-natured husband is waiting,
For with what I conclude, he’ll abide.

The little dog laughed to see such sport
And the dish ran away with the spoon
I stared at grandma as she read to us at court.
Wait! I said, the cow jumped over the moon?
Grandma looked less pleased now.
Yes, a gentle, good-natured dairy cow.
How likely is that? I asked I was not trying to be a snot.
She wanted me to take it playfully, but I could not.
I am studying to be a physicist or geologist you see.
If there is anyone who is scientifically-minded, it is me.
My grandma soon chose nonfiction books and carefully.
Which I understood much better said my cousin Lee.

A fast-paced, quick-thinking woman is Jen.
Gregarious and fun, she juggles her men
Tossed and tumbled, all three laugh about it.
Loving her the whole time, for she is a chit.
Happy-go-lucky, fun to be with for sure.
Her motives are good-natured, totally pure.
All think they have a chance, but none know.
She juggles six more beaus down in Buffalo.

Our thoughts should
always be good-natured.
To achieve our well-being
and to positively affect
those who are far away
from us.
