               **Dance of the Gypsy Soul**

              Gargantuan, golden glimmerings.
              Gauzed, glazed and glorious...
              She, your gem-gypsy generator.

              Etched earrings, entice extraordinary,
              Elegance, embraces everywhere.
              Explosive evening, encircles an elusive
              environment!

She is strong, a sensuous, song-secret.
She, the soul sonnet you sought.
Spinning you in her silvery, sultry seconds.

                               ~Your~
                   Spirit of a Summer Shadow

glimmerings of gothic moon and stars —
                             spiraling skirts and candlelight

Starlit Smile

Starlit Smile

Twilight whispers
woven through sunset auras
upon sequined moonglow glimmerings,
enchant the horizon
in periwinkle silhouettes
cascading ‘neath quivering heavens

As fireflies dance
creating flickering constellations
on a canvas painted
in evergreen promises
and magnolia longings,
effervescent dreamscapes beckon

And I follow silently,
gazing into the soft light
of Jasmine reflective forevers,
breathing in fragrances
of a beauty that can only bloom
within your starlit smile

Seasonal Skies of Wonder

Skies of wondrous starry nights
all aglow with shining lights,
we look up to you with awe
thus to inspiration draw…

Fortunate we earthlings are
on a planet not bizarre,
close enough but not too far
from our solar system’s star

beaming its apricity,
swirled in synchronicity
to nocturnal shimmerings
lit by lunar glimmerings

as the moon reveals her face
gazing down at us from space…
(Though we know how shine those rays
still her luminescent ways

stir our fancies, as in dreams…)
Poets with their reams of themes—
tragic, magic, comical,
even astronomical—

marvel as stargazers do
with celestial aperçu
at galactic scenes on high
querying ‘where, when, and why?’…

This our orbit round the sun
of twelve months again has run
out of time in earthly flight,
and a new one looms in sight.

Looking back, I’ve seen some dreams
lose their way, or so it seems.
There’s been gladness, sadness, fear.
Now we face a coming year…

Skies of wondrous starry nights
all aglow with shining lights,
may we keep your stellar view
in our ken, beyond the blue,

with musings, self-reflective,
lest humans lose perspective!

The Power of Words

Give me words to adorn myself
Like ornaments between my hands
Ephemeral, trivial
Yet the jewels of words are eternal
Give them to me to illuminate my way
Without them this eye can not see
The hidden soul
Or ever feel it change
Without them my soul will turn to stone
Give them to me to illuminate things
That can't be seen
That can't be pronounced
Hidden objects
Limitless
Invisible
Unimaginable
That can't be explained away
Things that
Remain in oneself
Asleep in the heart
Stable in the mind
Stuck in the throat
Things that blind the eyes
Extraordinary, mysterious things
That we feel but don't see
Bless me with their light
The glimmerings to write
What was hidden by air
What was concealed in an echo
What was revealed to the self
Yet remained hidden from the other

The Sapphire

There is fire in the sky tonight
Just glimmers really
Echoing the flame within my soul

Embers in the sky
Like coals beneath the heat
The cool of night
Like my heart

Ready is the spark
That luminescence within the clouds
To take flight into true flame
Lighting the sky like day
With a new-born star

Or just as ready to fade
As dust sailing away within the winds
From glimmerings into ashes
Cast into the sea

There is fire in the sky
Fire in the sky tonight
Just glimmering really
Echoing the flame within her hair
