I noticed whilst walking up and down the thing
What's going on here I thought
I had been given a middle seat
In what I consider to be the worst flight I have ever experienced
The two passengers either side of me were trolling
Ghosting me
Two Count Drunkulas in the dark
I got up and sat in one of the flight attendant's seats
I needed leg room and the final frontier
I needed me, myself and rock star parking
Like a suicidal cop
The window seat bloke started shaving
A nudge war after landing to hurry it up
As he was gagging for a cigarette
I was so mentally fatigued
Cream crackered and shagged
That I forgot to make this poem a calligram
As was originally intended
You know, in the shape of the fuselage
Oh what genius
I told friends
They asked what other films were available on the flight
Lethal Weapon 2 I replied

David Gibson is who we know;
But your friends, colleagues call you "PRO."
I knew you as an humble child,
You are going to be missed for a long, long while.
You were firm & tall,
You played that ball.
Your number "8" that's new beginnings,
Now you are on a team that is always winning.
"GIB" or "PRO," you have game,
Yet now you are resting in Jesus name.
We thank God for your time spent with us here,
And in our hearts you will always be near
With Love
Ms. Daisy
"The Lunch Lady"
David Gibson at this time was a senior at FAMU. I am not sure where he received his scholarship but he was going to check out a school in Atlanta, GA when there was an accident and his life was cut short. He is missed so much.

The tennis ball
Whacked over the net
Is whacked back again
Sometimes.
It is a tough leather that ball.
But this respiratory thing
That sucks the air from our lung
Teams against the self to win.
Now you are whacked
Over the line by it,
And to the cotton farm of Carolina,
And none can whack you back
Match point is for it
The ball is gone.

in "Angels & Demons" you wept softly,
shimmered your strings in a supine grace,
reached warmly over the edge with
a tremulous honey vibration
rising in crescendo, dripping into shadow,
then onto a deceptive cadence;
your amber rhythms stirred the inchoate
with a chord seared by sweet lament –

1.
You have come into my heart
from hot, fine, very-far-away California.
You have said many interesting things.
You taught me English and Friendship.
You are for me an example
of courage, kindness, and talent.
Part of my heart now is your second home.
You do not need visas or tickets
to arrive here by the roads of the heart
It is enough to think about me a little,
and you will be already here in your second home,
which is always glad to receive you,
where you are loved very much,
where you need not pay rent
to live here always.
2.
The E-mail to the USA flies very quickly!
The USA has a weekend again.
In California, Ursula looks at the moon.
I send my greeting to her,
«Where are you? How are you?
I miss you!»
