Get Behind Me, 2020

Beyond the challenges, look they say
The solutions lie there; use them, you may
You ask where do they sit right now?
In your heart and soul; now figure out how

What's the problem you can solve, well?
Write it down; the world you must tell
I search for you in online spaces
Finding you with your many faces

The market demands that you stay consistent
Your team wants you to be persistent
T'is tough squeezing water from a stone
It all starts with you getting on the phone

A new year hurriedly beckons
Set goals, your team reckons
Our target, the bottom tier
Get off your bottoms, without fear

Premium MemberSocial Distancing During a Pandemic Or Get Behind the Orange Line

No I'm not kidding , believe what I say.
Step behind the orange line and behind it you stay.
Yes, I'll scan your items from six feet away
but stay behind the orange line until its time to pay.

It's not rocket science, there's a pandemic, its real.
You may not believe it , but respect how we feel.
Stay six feet back and yes its a big deal.
We say it continuously , our mantra , our spiel.

Some of you get it and some are just dense.
Some get indignant and really take offense.
But the lines and the barriers to us just make sense.
When you get too close can't you see that we're tense.

Those lines were put there for a reason you see
and it might stay this way for one season or three.
So listen , dear customer, listen to me.
Get behind the orange line or no sale will there be.

Get Behind Me

Get Behind Me

Go! Leave! Scat, be gone.
You goon...
you know the King,
Jesus Christ our Savior is returning soon.
So I'll do my best
literally, to ingest;
the blood of his sufferings
I know it's correct.

Get ye behind me Satan...
I passed that test.

You are of the dead,
better yet, scared to death...
you've been defeated, conquered
and exist on borrowed breath.
I read somewhere you live bound
where you live,
Hell isn't it?
So I bind you on earth
I won’t listen, give me back my ear!
Get behind me Satan...
Hear me loud and clear!

Jesus' presence presents
me with new light.
He’s rock and my salvation,
Jesus the Christ.
Grace and mercy
Have been given to me; free,
the price is paid,
so take all your demons and leave.

Get behind me Satan,
I give you no props
I hate acknowledging your name
My God sits atop.
The place you should have stayed
Is where I desire to live,
Now in the name of Jesus…
I take back what stole
cause it's God who gives!

 Get ye behind me!
For all whom see and feel the dark...Christ has the light.

Get Behind Our Queen

she is standing tall
don't let her fall
she is our wall
this is not a dream
some treat her mean

QUEEN

Get Behind Me

Fall fell in and flat lined Summer’s promiscuous pulse.
“You’ve had your play now go: enough of your insults.

You sent your disastrous rain where it wasn’t needed,
And where it was, cries for your moisture went unheeded.

Get behind me and go. Earth’s inhabitants need rest.
They need quiet and beauty, and I can do that best.

Coolness and crisp color is called for; rustling leaves.
The smell of newly harvested corn in the fresh breeze,

Smashed glass stars in a cold clear black sky,
Thin lines of smoke from chimneys rising high.

They need my beauty and rest before winter’s weary, white,
to build again strength, and joi de vivre 'ere the frozen night."
