Premium MemberLost Sock Trail

T’was perhaps by dint of fate
Or some demonic spell
That I, a sock, was granted
The gift of sniff-less smell

I gaged and retched in darkness
Of a foot’s pungent aroma
Finally, I fled the scene
Became a match-less roamer

I hang about old laundramats
With socks lost and unfound
They share a single loneliness
A fading hope of being found

Not me, I shout, I shan’t return
It’s the wanderer’s life I seek
For I miss not the brogans
And those feet that truly reek

Yet, you may see me resting
In the warmth of sunset’s fail
Singing songs of corns and bunions
As I walk that lost sock trail

I Am Totaly Surrouded By Me

How beautiful would a star exploding be
or the sight of a cloud dipping it self in the sea
would negative matter unweigh
a bumble bee playing cymbals with its knees
if you can be engaged can you be just gaged
so this may sound of ramblings
cause i bought a herd of rambles
pulling misty thoughts into silver strands
that twine and twang
like rubbing bans the rules i diss
Obey with the longest of ohs
imagining a bay of swimming o's
i meant bans instead of bands
i hope you end of joyed
your vist
please don't feed the anomalies
No graph of photo flashed
for once it is done
it will only be repeated

Living In a Pandemic

When the sound of silence, wails
And sobs of crying deafens our fearful minds

Our streets are cold and empty
And there’s no one to be found
Only the shuffling of City workers
As they clean a ghostly town

Storms are silently raging
Uncertainties abound
My soul is contemplating
Disaster is all around

Eyes steering out at the invisible
Imagining faces they once knew
Smiles gaged to breathless
As death takes our point of view

A virus not only taking bodies
But our laughter and our joy
In dire need of a savior
We pull a vaccine from the clouds

Ending are here…

Everything is changing fast
Life is not the same
In this New World Order
Vaccination is not a game
If you don’t conform
In darkness, you’ll remain

Someone turned off the sun
And left us in the rain

Storms are silently raging
Uncertainties abound
My soul is contemplating…
The misery life’s become

Everything is changing
Nothing is the same
May the forces protect you
In this viral age

Brok-En-Gaged

Maybe our shattered pieces
Are puzzles to be arranged
Into a fine art - a whole heart.
Maybe, the missing fragments
Of our dreams are lost
Only to be found where our hearts both rest.
Perhaps,
Our losses aren't at all
Rather, beautiful inks yet to be spilled.
And our tears, a compass
To chart our course
While tracing those lines down our cheeks.
Perchance, our lives aren't for us to live
And our Love,
A known symbol never to be found.
It doesn't matter anyway.
Our story would forever be untold.

Premium MemberEnough Is Enough

I accidentally let one loose, shoot,
it's going to get embarrassing soon.
For even though it was merely a toot,
it held a stench that oft makes women swoon.

At first, it was somewhat tolerable,
then without warning, it got hard to breathe.
And it soon became intolerable,
as tolerant tempers began to seethe.

The vile smell was slowly dissipating
when I accidentally let one loose.
And this nasty one was nauseating,
it was about time for me to vamoose!

One woman gaged, looking like she might faint,
and a man began heaving up his lunch.
But loudly voicing a vicious complaint,
I deflected fault with a counterpunch.

Of all the indignities, I shouted,
voicing my anger, enough is enough!
And my innocence was never doubted,
as I shamelessly stomped off, in a huff!

Without a Script

Over the years I’ve seen more than my fair

share of movies

aimed at the Black audience.

I’ve seen the spoofs, the comedies,

the thrillers, the musicals, the mysteries,

the horrors, the dramas.

I got Under The Cherry Moon.

I glimpsed The Hollywood Shuffle.

I viewed Harlem Nights.

I felt Purple Rain.

I inspected Boyz N The Hood.

I was there, man. I sat high

up in balconies like my grandfather

did without preference.

He perceived Four Shall Die.

He witnessed The Broken Earth.

He knew Life Goes On.

He observed The Flaming Crisis.

He gaged A Man’s Duty.

There, up there, back then, even now, we watch

the big picture

aimed at us for entertainment, as we

live this life without a script.

Naked Earth

troubled world starved

 a naked earth raped

 natures voice gaged

 winters white

 glistening blanket

 this desire and dream

 transforms into love

a warmed land, lust and want

 will not questioned our soft

 fortunes of mother earth

Prelude

P
In a play to be titled with purpose unknown;
One quarries the listener’s with a sad undertone
The inducer induces the director directs;
And as user abuser the actor injects.
      The soldier has stumbled with a stuttering step;
And a sickness unwanted in his mind now has crept.
For all he once fought for now seems out of place.
And the heft of his bundle now shows on his face.
And what are their reasons can anyone guess;
The answers are numerous but questionable at best
So be it action or drama or a showdown with guns
It’s all but presentation life’s theater has run.
But has anyone noticed or anyone gaged
    The face in the mirror on the set of the stage;
Is it the phantom or the wizard of Oz?
Or perhaps it’s the writer just hoping for cause.

Respect Comes With Age

My father and my mother sat me down one day
to tell me how wonderful that I was growing O.K.
The years passes by as I got to be a teenager
with high hopes of becoming the first young manager
Life turns out a manager job is not for me
so I kept things to a minimum working hard you see
My family had taught me with all do respect
the life we lead is the image of our age in an aspect
Like queens and kings we bow our head
to the people who is wiser in age even when dead
Life as our guide the time we have aged
is what we leave behind that we are gaged
In prospective we are the stars and we are the earth
because we age and leave behind a new birth
To those that seek such blessing of heart
remember this age is respect for living from the start
Do you remember your father, mother, and teachers
they are the ones cheering you on, sitting on those bleachers

Get Louie

Get Louie

Louie is bad guy
he's the scum of the earth
he's been causing trouble
since the day of his birth
nobody likes him
not even his mom
shoot him stab him
blow him up with a bomb

get Louie

he's a rotten cheat
and a dirty liar
when he was a kid
he liked setting kittens on fire
he'd trip you on the steps
thought he was funny
and when you weren't looking
he'd steal your lunch money

get Louie

his day will come
someone will do him in
a left to the gut
and a right to the chin
shoot at his feet
and make him dance
roll him in mud
and pull down his pants

get Louie

well the day has come
he finally met his match
they found him in the dirt
down by the strawberry patch
he was hog-tied naked
and gaged with a rag
and stuffed up his butt
was an American flag

we got Louie
