Fossiled Poems | Examples

This Is Not a Landscape

At a time
Where
I planted more seeds
Than thoughts
I could barely plant myself

My blinds
Were silken dyed cloths
Magpies and swallows
Knew it
Something wanted to die
In my arms

Rarely to grasp
Like an airy arrow
Brief
Yet heavy like a fossiled oak

A spark
appeared
This was you
A familiar sound
Which could only be
Found

Distantnology

He had a story
And demanded to be heard
His words were whispered
Do to his hoarsed throat
He suffered from the flu
A byproduct of what he
Wished me to know
"They have created a monster,
Mankind is doomed"
He told me as I recorded
His conversation
"They used stem cells from
Toads, a fossiled dodo egg, a hippopotmus
An ape, bear and a puma, it created a fume that
Became a cloud
It rained and they all feel to the floor
We didn't know why until one
Of the professors mentioned
They" fused the stem cells
With the organisms found in
A meteorite we develop a vaccine for
The flu like symptoms but it only worked
On a few of us
We spent days in the lab trying to remove the Misty cloud, one day it dropped
To the floor and started to become a
Gelatinous material
We took samples of it
And it , it was a virus it is a one organismicist
Creature that creates a mist to infect people
Than it creates and spews an acid
That dissolves the flesh and swallows you whole
It roars while it swallows"

How Can I Forget

It is simple things that which
are forgotten
Desecrated and defiled
Fossiled into the past
Isn't it you and I
Who make things simple
And that which is simple dazzle
How can I forget
How memory like a mirror
Always reflects on me saying
Don't stop dreaming
Don't stop loving
Don't stop believing
You cease to live if you cease
to
dream
Pave your own path
Drive your own passion
Seduce your own zeal
Never manipulate your own
destiny
Don't walk infront
Cuz no one might follow
Don't walk behind
Cuz no one might lead
In the dying embers of the day
On the banks of disparity and
despair
We find reasons to embrace
Those simple things.

These Are My Memories

Memories of leaping sentiments
Have left indelible footprints on
the sandy plantations path
Of destiny juggling with my life
And fortune drifting away
Of a companionship gripping a
relationship
Was it fate spreading it's
tentacles
To fulfil the satanic deeds
And when dawn scouted
around found the bond broken
In the heart of this time it is
simple things that which are
forgotten
Desecrated and defiled
They are fossiled in to the past
Which is out of reach?
Is it not you and I
And all of us
Who make things simple?
What is it that I need?
A thought to share
A glitter of your smile in the
heart of this time
How can I forget?
Like a burning soul
Like a hacking life
How can I forget or remember
why I did it
How can I forget how memory
Like a mirror reflects on me
How the sight of my eye on you
can be indelible
How can I forget such things?
These are my memories...

Revenge of the Silent

Did she tell you
she is simply a gruesome puppet
painted shut and suffocating
within her own fossiled bones

and did she whisper
a cathedral full of lies
breathing them out through
the hollow of her slashed red mouth

she will dreamily clad her
collapsed corpse
untill the corsets strangle her
and she is two halves

you may never fully hear
the skitish rythum of her blood
easing as it circles
and halts eternally in drying veins

and she will never fully close
a defeated flower brittle
as her lost voice
yet sipping eternally upon your attention

Gifts From the Sea

Hardened sea star hopes
cast from blackened, soundless depths
are quickly discovered by treasure seekers
and secured in pockets of wool
Fossiled crab claw rage
bent from the cask of revenge
slowly dissolves into shells, into sand
to be sifted and carted away
Worn pearl orbs of dreams
rubbed raw from years of abuse
are shined up and carried in sweet hands of children
to be reborn and dreamed once again
Sand dollars inspired and green
left skeletal, open and raw
are lifted away by the sea and it's waves
to be bleached into sea bells of awe.
