THEY THOUGHT ABOUT WHAT BOUGHT THEIR
EXISTENCE INTO BEING
THEY QUESTIONED HOW SOME MIGHT FEEL
WHAT THEY WERE TRYING TO DO COULD
POSSIBLY CAUSE OTHERS TO THINK ILL OF THEM
THEY SOUGHT REMEDIES TO PROBLEMS THAT DIDN'T EXIST
AND FOUND SOLUTIONS FOR THINGS THAT MIGHT GO WRONG
THEY SOUNDED AND RESOUNDED
TO HAVE ALL WHO BELIEVE IN WHAT THEY WERE DOING
TO BE RIGHT.
WE THAT CARE NEED TO FIX WHATS WRONG WITH US
BEFORE SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T CARE BREAKS US APART
ONE SPOKE. THESE TIMES CREATE TENSION
AND FROM EACH START, IT SEEMS WE SEE A FINISH
THAT EACH NEW BEGINNING IS AN END FOR SOMETHING ELSE.
ONE SAID MAYBE IF WE STOP TEACHING THEM WRONG WE MIGHT
FIND AWAY TO TEACH THEM RIGHT,
ANOTHER ANSWERED TO SABOTAGE WHAT WE DO IN THE EFFECT OF
HINDERING OUR COMPETITION
MEANS SETTING THE LEVEL SO HIGH, THAT OTHERS WILL QUESTION THEMSELVES AND BE DOUBTFUL
OF THEIR OWN ABILITIES.

BUILD YOUR STRENGTH AND STRENGTHEN YOUR CRAFT, AND THE WORLD
WILL NEAL BEFORE YOU!

It is the origin and hope of a thousand children, the love that transforms young seedlings to plants.
Its breath canvasses the woods of the Zaire o'er the hills of Zimbabwe down to the lowlands of the Mozambique.
It is the great tide that accompanies the Nile to kiss our cheeks at first light, the stars that glitter when the sun slumbers in celestial furlough.
Tis the bravery that enveloped the hearts of our forbearers, the burning lamp at the towerwatch of the Zanzibar.
It is the courage to walk the dark places in mythical lore. the strength that flows in Simba's pride.
It is the tongue of the Phoenix; the screams at slaver's bay. Tis the blistered feet of enslaved athletes at the diamond mines of sierra Leone.
Tis the very thread that weaves us in the roots of originality. It is the bowl that feeds all with kindness, the souls of a million bound in Porter's fellowship. Tis the spirits of my black martyrs

Her senses melded with the tapestry,
coming alive,
as if the images woven
stripped her spirit bare.
Each image bearing the tale
of the ancients;
Forbearers of a forgotten world
stitched in new world colors.
Interwoven remembered glory
mingling with horrors, gory.
Interlaced, now, in a threaded story
merging the old,
with those of the new,
as if each needle threaded
pricked her living soul.

You are missed, dear friend.
Lo' may you meet your forbearers in
Valhalla as was your wont.
Valhalla.
May your strength return to you there, Ray.
Your family misses you. I miss you.
You were a good person who raised hardworking and
decent people.
I hear the Valkyrie singing for you!
I hear the horns sounding in the distance!
And louder than all,
The thunder of Thor's Hammer cracking through the night.
Another brave warrior has returned home.

I am thawing out
The winter freeze melts like butter
From the heart
With purpose poised and sung hard
From the mettle of my thoughts
Resltess as they are
This thick impassioned tar
Out spouts the plans and desires
Out grows the forbearers of time
Out and threaded, lived and tethered.
Find and feed and fall for others.
On this blistered, frigid Christmas,
Move and make your wishes welt
As worn and weary as they are.
Restless as they are
Make loose the mind's murky tar.
And start a new fire for all to see.
Make it burn bright into the night
Against the maple of the trees,
Against the faces of belief.

Pretend not, that the sky is blue
And all is well within the world
For it is not, the sky is hazed
With the injustice of suffering
Many children endure nights
Never to see the sun of days
As they eek out an existence
In the shadows of forbearers
As food becomes desired
So, too, does a thirst for love
For they not know love, nor
Can they recognize it if had
So, pretend not, that the sky is blue
Look into the sky, not covering your eyes
Witness not only the obvious
But recognize the truth behind the light
