One night long ago I saw a lovely creature,
It was like gazing at a fine piece of art.
I got lost in his eyes and every other feature,
One night long ago, I saw a lovely creature.
I was an eager student, and he was a teacher,
In that moment in time he had my heart.
One night long ago, I saw a lovely creature,
It was like gazing at a fine piece of art.

The Wildcats was the mascot,
The elementary school just a couple of blocks away
I would walk to school hand in hand with my mother,
Waving goodbye as I disappeared through the gates.
The playground was huge,
Blacktop for miles and miles,
The swing set was my favorite,
Named it Henry, I would
Talk to Henry in my head,
He was always interested in what I had to say,
Whatever classroom tidbit I had to offer.
If someone cut their hand with a scissor,
Or if that kid made that teacher go red in the face again.
Henry would sit there, willingly,
As I tried to touch the sky with my tip-toes.

To my Grandma
November 21st 1957- May 7th 2012
A mother proudly raising her 3 beautiful children.
A son that will soon go fight for our country
A daughter that will be blessed with four children
An other Daughter that will be gifted in the arts.
That will always be there for them
To make a joke
Or heal a wound.
A Wife to a solder of the old red white and blue
For 34 years of being married on July 19th.
Always being there for him when he needs her most
And happy care for him in sickness and health.
A grandmother to four young girls
An artist and a poet
A rock-star at heart
A soon to be teacher
And a little princess
Has cared for and looked after
Was there to talk to when no one else would listen
Would love to hear or see their talents
Always had a blasted watching their favorite tv shows or movies.
That's what I think an awesome grandma is.
I go to her resting place and with a smile tears rolling down my face i say
"I love and miss you Grandma"

His teacher gave an assignment
On his first day of school,
She told the kids to write a book
On things they thought were cool.
She said they could draw pictures
Like in all the books they read,
But she said to be creative
And this is what his said:
"My baby rabbit is one thing that I love,
and my house, that I drew this picture of.
I love my family and a sunny summer day
and red would be the only color if I had my way."
"I love my teacher, she said I could go far
and I like Skeletor and my cool racecar,
but my best things, just in case you care,
are great big shiny red balloons and Tenderheart Bear."
Fifteen years down the road,
When he was all grown up
I was cleaning out my closet
And putting things in the truck
I came across a cardboard box
I opened it to take a look
And there it was with my letters and cards...
Joeys book.
Carefully I opened it
And began to take a look
At all the things he'd wrote
And colored in his special book.
Though he'd been only five years old
He'd had the sense to know
I'd need something to take me back
To those precious years with my Joe.
Now my Joey's grown and gone
With his own family.
He's stationed in the Army
Far across the sea.
I wish for him all happiness
And love because it's rare,
But I'll always keep for him
His book and Tenderheart Bear.

These, cacophony that beggars descriptions
Disorder from indecent breed incubating,
Confusion of morals, the imposition of strange culture,
Filthily dressed to undress my mind,
Our teacher teaching theories of writs and wits
These promiscuous pastors parading piety with nudity
Lewd licentious and libidinous species luring laurels with drama,
These traditional priests tutoring the innocent as the skilled orthodox guru
Folly forming and fuming fire on the podium of cerebral
These gangs of immoral breeds hovering over men with enthusiasm
The sick physician administering drugs on the ignorant,
These,
A coup against Coleridge,
Wired Wordsworth,
Barron as Blakes
Shapeless Shakespeare,
With excessive deluxe paint like a red zone hawker,
These fashions clogging the pump of poetic flow
With the garbs of a seductress
Allays my feet to the "gutter-most" pit of whores
These, who feigned folly as fashion forcing Mr Flesh, to a quickie,
Teach me the lyric and lines and morals too
Inspire my curious heart in poetry and NOT the contours of shapeless show
Evoke in me a desire and arouse my intellect and NOT to lust
Induce me with scintillating lyrics and NOT to the nightmare and dreams of a succubus
Tempt my heart to scholastic loyalty and NOT to the apple of Eden
Conjure the parley of mutated minds with words
Come again to the conference in art and rags of skilled minds
I adjure you, be Natural
