Love Does Not Discuss Sins

Love does not discuss sins
Mistakes are facts of life
No one is infallible
When a brother makes a mistake
Be careful not to respond
With another mistake
Forgive cause you need
To to be forgiven
No perfect beings exist on the planet
We do not rejoice when a brother falls
We rather run to restore him
Victims as well as perpetrators
Stand in helpless need of His forgiveness

The Muse

~teddy and the muse~

It looked as a monkey
With a huge bushy tail
It entered the office
Scarring brother Teddy
It scampered allover
Teddy offered it a banana
It screeched baring its teeth
I call it a muse for lack
Of a suitable or better name
It was a creature of the forest
Dark and very swift on its legs
Who visited teddy yes a muse
I call it a muse for teddy keeps
Churning out brilliant pieces

Love My Little Brother Vijay

My brother is naughty
     Smiling face is his Beauty

He plays with my books
If asked, he escapes with smiling looks

When my dad shows him stick
       He pretends to be sick
      Later ,runs away very quick

Moreover..
My brother's activities are such fun
He plays hide and seek like the sun

I love my little brother very much
He is my treat of happiness!!
In fact , Only sibling to share everything
with me in this enormous world....

Miss My Brother

I heard that There's no knowledge of time in heaven so u probualy wouldn't know, for the past 11 yrs it's been hard everyday almost as hard as the day u had to go..
It's still unfair and not understood y this had to happen to you , and no matter what or where we go we always wish you were there to.
You can never really leave us there's not a place that you can go,
where we will never stop thinking of you and miss you more than you know ..
So guess time doesn't really matter here either after all , cause 11 yrs later we all just miss u more xxxx

Men

MEN

The journer from a boyhood to the MAN he grew,
He knows the milestones that one needs to go through.

He is supposed to be strong, yet required to be gentle,
Most of the times, men are experimental.

Men are short, men are tall,
Who said they shouldn't bawl?

As a brother, as a father,
As a husband, as a son,
A man knows how to live life in fun !

So, let's not demand, but thank them,
For being around us, whenever they can.

Let's raise a toast and cheer for them,
Because Yes, Not all Men are same !

Happy International Men's Day !

Twin Brother

Twin brother
Out of love we were born
Over some years we grew
From young to old

With thee I played, ate and cry
In the world huge open

At first grade oh Lord we failed
In sorrows and preparation
Us worked and succeeded

Both on same bed we slept
Somewhere, hiding self
From scary dark

Sorry for the village cruelty
Saving thee is me possibly wishing
I should be telling this
On the face
Though I'm not good talker
 IN writing I’m gifted

Let me spell word down
For thee read someday
Let me tell thee aren’t alone
With thee I’m with
Through spirit holy

Big Brother

Sometimes, I just need a brother
And not a lover

Me to clutch
But not to touch

To cuddle
Not fondle

To lend an ear
Not pet my rear

Sometimes, I just need a big brother

To get it off my chest
Not take off my vest

To kiss my cheek
Not peck my beak

To give me a nod
And not his rod

Sometimes, I just need a big brother

To let me lie in his arm
And not fall for his charm

To guard me from hoodlums
Not leave me with huge sums

To lead me to my bridegroom
Not lead me to his bedroom

Sometimes, I just need a big brother

Off To War

As we are very close
As we would do anything for each other
As your always at my house
As your my only brother
The hardest thing that I ever had to do with you
Is to say good bye as you go.....off to war

Trying to explain why you had to leave to your very young niece and nephew
Not knowing if that good bye.....will be for ever
Waiting for the phone calls.....Just so we know your ok
Praying everyday for your safty
Praying everyday that the army don't come to my house....to tell us your not ever coming home alive

All those days and nights.....With tears that flow
Cause I am scarred for your safty
Cause I miss you so much
All I want is for you to be come home
When that solider comes home
Those relief tears takes over
All that praying worked
Cause God picked you as a lucky one and returned you home alive
When you were....Off to war

The Flood

My cup overflows.
Water runs from the glass to the rim,
churning forth,
flooding everything that lies in it's path.
What is this?

It seeps
into all the cracks and crevices,
all the dry land.
It fills the earth.
What is this?

It doesn't flow steady.
It increases exponentially,
growing like a tidal wave
until everything is consumed.
What is this?

It is a soldier
willing to die for a fellow comrade,
a best friend
willing to give all they own,
a brother
laying down his life for his kin.

When I die
I want people to understand what this is.
I want it to be so emblazoned on my soul
that people will have no doubt.

The words will tumble
from my lips
until the sky and the Earth
cease to be.
Time itself may stop
but my words
will echo through eternity
because life is too short not to say it.

Life is far too short not to say it.

A Sisters Love

He has always been there in my life when times get kind of rough.
He has always loved me no matter what though his exterior is tough.
It’s hard to get to know the true him, he doesn’t open up to just anyone.
But if he opens up to you, it can warm you like the sun.
He makes me laugh like no one else; he can always get me going.
When he is in a good mood he brightens my day without knowing.

He is my one and only brother,
I would not trade him for another.
He may not always want to share,
But in his heart he will always care.
I know he may not always know,
All the feelings I do not show.
The love I have for him is grand,
It overflows my cup and hand.
My heart breaks when I see him sad,
I wish for him a soul that’s glad.

He is so very important to me; I hope that he can see.
I love him so much, sometimes that it hurts,
I wish him a heart that’s free!

Brother

I'm writing now oh big bro
Oh! sorry I forgot, yes you said no
To say goodbye and to let you know
That you'll be on my mind wherever I
go
Well you know I'll never be ur pussy
cat nor teddy bear
Whatever you wanna call me now...I
dnt care
You think you're the one who's hurt,
well you're wrong dear
The truth is that I'm the one suffering
here
No no plz dnt you ever apologize
I'm the one who's sorry for telling
lies
To you?! Yeah right that's what you
have always thought
But I was lying to myself believe it or
not
No more stories,no more pain
Gonna spread my wings, fly in the
rain
Now each one is going his own way
Well that is all I have to say
If you change your mind I'll be
waiting for you
Ready do hear and forgive like I
always do
The fact is you'll never know what
you did to me
Though I'll never consider you as an
enemy
Oh how I wish to hear from you
these words
Saying, sister come close to me,
together we will run the world.

What Child Is This When I Was Young

When I was young what child is this
My memory of my childhood, I can go back to when I was four
Mostly walking but yet crawling on the floor, I was mostly good
When I was young I had fun, Sitting on the kitchen floor
Me and my brother beating pots and pans, as my father comes in the door
Believe it or not he could have been another Stevie Wonder
When I was young what child is this
When I was young I would watch my brother
Even though I was the youngest, we had no other
Person to watch him see, he had a condition he didn't deserve it
When I was young there was a lot of cartoons
Cowboys and westerns weekends and afterschool
We had a small house with plenty of room, three bedroom house one bathroom
When I was young my parents worked daily
I went to school some in the early years, in fear
I mainly stayed and watched my brother
For you see we had a slight problem
He was birth blind and retarded
This is how my delinquency started
When I was young what child is this

Loving Her Ain'T Easy

Sometimes it's hard to be her man
Especially when she makes you so mad
Even more when she makes you sad
After all that's not a very easy thing to do
But that girl knows just how to get the best of you
The little things she may do or say
Yet still you love her in such a way
Sometimes you can't find the words to explain
Then some days she can be such a pain
But to see her smile or hear her laugh
That’s worth more than an entire paragraph
Of words you could find to describe the way that girl makes you feel
From the start, her heart you were out to steal
And for you she has more love than she's ever had for any other
Even years ago with her best friend's brother
A love she thought no one would ever compare to
But she's fallen even harder and deeper with you
You've had days you didn't think you'd get past
But now you're both sure yall's love will last
After everything ya'll have already been thru
This here is just my point of view
But I think you two were meant to be
And I think even you have to agree!!

The Junction of No Return

The junction of no return
Hi brother if you tell her you love her
Mean it show it give it
So many words are better said
Than actions instead
This day In our generation
We always say this and do that
Is obvious the women are giving up
No wonder the increase of single mothers
So if you tell her you love her
Mean it show it give it
Don't be a heart breaker
Don't be one of the reason she cries in pain
Don't take her love for Granted
Cos when she gives up on you
And you suddenly see her gone
Sorry you got her to
The junction of no return

The junction of no return
Hello sweet sisters
If you tell him you love him
Don't play with his heart
Don't cheat on him
Don't let him down alone
Build with him
Grow with him
Show him you are a woman of virtue
Respect him all the time
Let him feel all he ever needed in a woman in you
So if you ever tell him you love him
Mean it show it give it
Grow your intimacy with him
Let him feel like a man
And never touch his ego
If truly you love him
A man need respect
So give it to him or take him to
The junction of no return

Poppabear

This poem is written for a mate’s dad
The family left feeling awfully sad
For their Poppabear passed this week
A better life he tries to seek

A Son, A Brother, A Father too
Your babybears were very proud of you
Yes you had your demons with fags and the booze
Alas your taking your final cruise

You gave your children a better life than you had
That’s why they are proud to call you dad
Your early days with your brother were difficult and hard
No contact from parents not even a card

But you stayed true to your word
Gave your children love that’s not absurd
Even though you struggled with your health
Your love to the kids was better than wealth

As a former soldier and a guardsman too
I’m sure your send-off won’t be all blue
As a Guardsman you will stand tall
Erect to the front you will not fall

A handsome and witty chap you were
Direct to the point that was for sure
As a man who didn’t mince his words
Assertive and polite but did not curse ?

So Poppa Bear you will be missed
Now your babybears are getting Pxxxed
RIP DAD we loved you so much
A single white feather is all now we can clutch

A Man Stands Tall

A MAN STANDS TALL

When you find yourself all alone
and the way before you is not clear,
if you are willing to pay the high cost,
willing to swallow the yellow knot of fear,
when angels have left you without a guide
and demons have all drawn close and near –
a male who would be a man stands tall.

When a sister finds herself lost
in emotional hurt, pain and crying,
when a brother stumbles and falls
no matter how hard he might be trying,
when a parent faces their fears
of being alone and finally dying -
a male who would be a man stands tall.

If he has a tender giving heart
and a clear and open mind,
with a willingness to heal,
and the strength to be forever kind,
when presented with others faults
makes the choice to be fault-blind -
a male who would be a man stands tall.

And the circle will forever grow
while the wound of enmity mends,
the bloodied warriors will finally pause
and recognize those who would be friends,
the music starts, the dance begins
the killing finally ends -
a male who would be a man stands tall.

A male who would be a man stands tall.

Not a Sign of Weakness

It's not a sign of weakness
Talking is the way to win
It may not take away the demon
Hold it at bay within

A brew a Natter may really help
Put these thought to one side
Social media is where you can yelp
Instant messenger we can confide

If it's a one on one you need
Then its only a phone call away
Whatever time night or day
Its the right thing yes indeed

I know you may not want to bother
But bother it is not
A brother from another mother
That is what you got

So please don't do anything rash
I know your better than that
It's a fight to the finish not a dash
So put on your winners hat

Take notice from I who know
You can beat this nasty thought
Think of those around you now
Don't leave them all distraught

They love you, want you around
Hold on to that dear thought
Not visit you in the ground
In words I heard a long time ago
DO AS YOU OUGHT

Stay strong my friend
Your the best  to really judge
It's not your time to call end
Don't make me hold a grudge

I hope you see what these words mean
Not trying to patronize
Your ace this is how your seen
Now open up your eyes

If I don't know you it's not the end
You too can take heed
Everyone has a special friend
Their your saviour yes indeed

In Loving Memory

In loving memory
Of an amazing friend, lover, father, brother, and son
How do we even begin to find the words to say goodbye
To someone who filled so many lives with so much love
We keep asking ourselves why
Even though we know you're watching over us from above
For all of us here that you left behind
There's alot of heartache and pain
But we'll keep you alive in our hearts and in our mind
Deep down we know an amazing angel God did gain
Not a day goes by that we dont think of you
And wish we could have just a little more time
Even though we know it's something we can't do
We try to find a little comfort in this rhyme
Coming together to share our memories of you
Saying goodbye as we lay you to rest
We can't help but shed a tear or two
As you are proof, God really does only take the best
Still it seems so unreal
And almost impossible to let you go
Praying to God for the strength to heal
Cuz without you we just dont know
How to get up and get thru another day
So many say it just takes time
Right now it feels like there's just no way
But we find the words to say we're fine
But each day without you is as hard as the day before
Cuz there's no-one that could ever take your place
As time goes by we'll miss you more and more
And in our hearts you'll always hold a special place!!!!

May Nash

MAY NASH
	(1968)

Henry, I’ve stocked in the beer you used to like—
a half-dozen cold bottles just waiting for you!
And the little tomatoes— the other things.

Nights, I try to keep the lights on—
I always say it is just for company.
Truth is, I’m afraid of the dark
— not a presence in it— the dark itself.

And lonely? Yeah, I think about another man sometimes—
or I might see someone I like
—but it hardly seems worth it—
all that work!

Moments you kissed me rough
— I met you head on, my blood up—
“Your honey of the afternoon,” you said!

When I’m out at a restaurant or eating somewhere,
I look across the table,
and often see you sitting there—
and a thousand memories ago I hear your voice.

The daytime afternoons are long, filled with shadows—
a matter of finding something to do—
twilight means an early supper,
a television evening.

Late-night
I put out my hand— automatic—
to an empty space in the bed,
a cold place beside me—

I dream think
you just got up t’ pee—
yeh, you’ll be back,
just got up t’ go pee—

JP

“My mother told me once, my Uncle Bill’s wife didn’t like him to drink, so he kept his bottle under her sink. Every afternoon he came by after work & had a drink and they’d chat— memories, old times brother-sis talk— and one day she was waiting for him & suddenly remembered: he’d died the month before.”
Its the waiting that’s bothersome.

Ozzie

Ozzie oh Ozzie

Ozzie was a Newfoundland dog
This dog was like a big ball of cushion
He had a body of a bear and innocent look of child
He was soft in and out, well crafted, black and white
He weighed around 150 pounds
He loved to run- he had the most majestic run
I loved watching him, took so many videos of him

Rewind a little step back......me as an adult
Coming to a new culture, I was very disgusted by how pets were treated
I was like - how can animals be treated better than humans?
I was confused and had a lot of "nice" things to say about this new pet culture

Rewind back........I was around 12
I got a beating from my brother for throwing cold dish water on one of our dogs
I was an angry teen

Rewind back, way back........around 7 years
Me and my sister cried so hard when we watched one of our brothers kill and bury little puppies
His reason being, we didn't have food to feed them and nobody would take them
I guess, population control
I was an innocent kid
Around same year or year after, we lost Tommy a beloved dog of the family that had been with us for years
His burial was in style, none like that in our village
We buried him like a human and even wrote an epitaph for him
We all loved him

Thank you Ozzie for taking the angry teen and the confused adult out of me
And bringing back the innocent kid
I will always love you, because of you my love for pets blossomed!

A Great Little Survivor - Part 1

Fourteen days...
Ted, what will become of you?
Two weeks back, you were lifted out and rushed
to intensive care, breathing but fitting,
unable to tell us how it felt to
be born with wires, tubes, winking lights and graphs,
monitors for music. No lullaby.

Intensive carers, what will become of Ted?
With your skill, experience, resources,
teamwork, measuring, scanning, recording,
what can you know? Assurance so fragile
to hear, to believe, to hope. Yet we trust
your watching, waiting, providing for Ted.

Eight pounds six gave you a start, Ted, but loss
of blood left your vitality distressed.
Three times you endured a lumbar puncture,
just to exclude the chance of infection,
Now at least you are given Mummy's milk.
Now at last Mum and Dad can cradle you.

Phil and Lorraine, who will Ted be for you?
With the waiting, not knowing, sensitive
to every sign, fearing, hoping with time
to pass at the cot side. Reading aloud
from The Fantastic Mister Fox for Ted
to hear the voice of Dad, and Mum holding.

Rex, big brother, who will Ted be for you?
Hard for you to understand the comings
and goings, greetings and goodbyes; broken
routines, conversations. For you and Ted
we hope and we pray, but how will it be
for you together? Your needs competing.

God, who will Ted become? For him the best
is what you desire. Make us strong that we,
that you can give to overcome the hurt,
and so make whole his infant brain. Uphold
with courage and patience Lorraine and Phil;
may their bond promise peace and life for Ted.

Advice
Brother listen
Life got too many faces
Different levels
Different stages

This are the process of growth
When you pass all this time
Remember to do all
You do with your heart
Don't do them with fear
Fear is a killer
It take you backwards
If you must fear
Fear God
And that will be the source
Of your wisdom
In all your process of growth
Be brave were you are suppose
To be
Be calm when you are to be calm
Don't be carried away by the sweet
Things of life
It kills slowly and easily

Be successful in life
You must bear pain
But make that pain
A power
Let it motivate you
Remember life is not
A bed of roses brother me

Hello

Hello to you my old friend
forgive me for I haven't visited
I was busy with life,
and the bills kept coming.
Time flew by... I just don't know

All alone now, brother
you're sister is fine,
she married and has a son coming soon,
due in May
a Taurus just like you,
congrats Uncle...

I remember what you said that one time,
you remember(God, do you remember) when
we ran down the overpass and that semi almost
killed you, good times.
And we smoked those old Marlboros
and read Bukowski,
God, those were good times...
So, how are you doing?
Fine?
Good?
Oh-don't want to talk about it-I understand...

I saw Rebecca
that girl at the bookstore,
she's doing well,
feeling her old self
She asked about you,
but I couldn't tell her
She would be devastated

I saw Jane too,
Sweet Jane, oh,
she rolled her eyes when I mentioned your name
and then I told her,
and she started to cry
those eyes don't roll anymore

I saw Clare, Donna, Diane, Lola, Layla, Paula,
and even those twins from Amsterdam
and they all blushed when I told them about you,
and now they can't wait to hear from you

You know those paintings you painted ten years back,
they sold for millions,
they put them in a museum,
your name is all over those white walls, reflecting off the marble floors
and those pale blue eyed girls
you used to talk to, stand their
with arms crossed and stare in awh

God- you came a long way my friend
brother- keep it up brother- you deserve it.
I planted that oak tree in the backyard
and its growing well, strong just like you.

No problem

To My Uncle

A man who you could call any day of the week and he'll be there in a flash
A believer in the heavenly father for his actions show he puts others first before his own
Pure love for his family and daughters who've grown to fine women in life
Loved his wife dearly and provided everything he could for he's so pure
Worked to the bone to provide for his family putting a roof over their head and food to eat
Easy to talk to and would give you clothes off his back to help another in need
His heart is and always will be pure like the blue skies above
He's my second father and in the mirror he's the splitting image of my own father
Not afraid to discipline when your acting out but it's all out of love
Teach you the error of your ways and guide you to make a better way
Wild in the days of his youth but as he grew he matured into a fine man
As an uncle, brother, father, cousin he's a man whose heart is pure as gold
He was an amazing deacon and did everything he could for the church till his last breath
For his love of the father was endless for all the amazing things he did in his life
And when you look into his children they're the splitting image of who he is
When you look at his wife she's the splitting image of his heart and purity
When you look at his family you see the splitting image of his love and dedication
For a man whose finally returned home and watching over from above
For a uncle who I'm proud who molded a family together through his actions and unyielding care
Uncle Sammy Curtis you always stay in our hearts and know you'll never be far from our minds

Moses's Exodus Begins

MOSES’S EXODUS BEGINS

Moses was easy pickings for Satan who saw in him a true son
For killing an Egyptian who was beating on a Hebrew, he done

Moses, for you are the true son of Satan, so I will protect you
Now go up into the mountains of Israel this I say of you to do

Israel says Moses; can’t say I have heard of it, Oh’ Satan Lord
Nor I say’s Satan who saw upon Moses flapping plainly ignored

Moses collected his best garb and only the best of the low lifers
A bunch of; scurrilous weed smoking "we hate working strikers"

On seeing an opportunity for some time off, packed their bags
Moses took Joshua his side kick, men, kids and, a few old hags

Left the missus and kids, but took with him true brother Arron
Which off they all went; into a land that was more than, barren

On reaching the Red Sea contemplates then, how to get across
Everyone looked at Moses; Moses looked up to Satan, his boss

As coming across the ridge was the Pharaoh and his flaming lot
Then on Satan’s instructions, points to a just unbelievable spot

The water started parting sideways; a track for them then made
It’s only then that Moses 99.5% was starting to make the grade

As the other 5% just stood there in total disbelief, got all slayed
The Pharaohs lot gave chase; soon found they had been, played

As the waves came crashing down upon them, not one survived
Just as Moses and, all his scurrilous lot at the other side arrived

So after that momentous event, I think it’s time we took a break
Before seeing where the next part of the journey it does us take
