Shortest Love Story

Our elbows collided,
'cause my desk is wrong-sided.
Made for a lefty,
When I write
with my right.

Not By Chance

  is familiar to my breathing

Horse Racing 4

I laughed
I was laughing like the sun through the clouds
but he did not care at all
that someone like me could write every day
about love,
about you
and we were so close
then I left.
Look at my hands I said
My goodness
you just do not see?

To My Gorgeous Adelaide

You're more than a story to write;
You're more than a song to sing.
I wish by day, I wish by night,
That you would be my queen.

I'm not sure how in words,
I could really write or speak.
I really thought you were,
All my very own, for me.

The Reason

A Painter can't paint without colors
A Singer can't sing without melodies
A writer can't write without purpose
with words I create the iridescent sky
with words I play the harmonious symphony
daydream wide awake as I write
for the hope it make you smile

Sleep Deprived

I can't think
of what to write
right now.
So I'll start
by saying this.
and maybe after
then I'll remaster
and change a bunch of it.
The pen just follows
me around
when I begin to write.
As I think of nothing
I know I can now
fall asleep tonight

The Littles

Little thoughts and notes we write
A wish good morning, a kiss goodnight
Between us two, no one can see
Nor can by anyone perceive
Don't ever feel you have to say
Or put your heart out on display
To me, I'll love you anyway
Someday we will, someday, someday

Fifty-Five

"Saturday is my birthday I turn 55. I'm so old"

On this blank page, I write
One blink at a time in delight
Of one woman so bright
Of one woman young at heart with no doubt
Of one woman who has been strong in her plight
She is one that leads by the light

Permanent Marker

Thoughts they flow so easily
I need a pen to keep on me
No paper? No problem, I have an arm
To write things on, these words of charm
And when I transfer them to here
Then all who read will know you're dear
But if I get a new tattoo
Wherever it is I'll just show you

The Kiss

Embracing you, our lips so close
I whisper uno, you whisper dos
And then our breath together flows
The kiss, fulfilment, wordless prose
Dreams, desires I've held long
Unspoken, an unwritten song
That then will finally start to write
Itself, verse, chorus, bridge, delight!

My Inspiration Has Arrived

My Inspiration has arrived

The moments we have spent together
Has brought back the inspiration I have been waiting for.
You inspired me to write poems,
Return to singing lessons,
To go after what I want and if feels good inside.
To know that I can reach for the stars.
You are that inspiration.

It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's a Cloud

A lazy Sunday afternoon
Just watching the clouds go by,
If I was a cloud I'd pass over your house
And write your name up there in the sky
In cottony letters, soft, fluffy, and white,
Then a lining of red in the blue
Would outline your name 'til a heart shape did form
From the red of my heartbeat for you

Dear Lovebird

It is now I write for you;
I wonder where you are.
We see the sun,
We see the moon;
I've seen shooting stars.
Share with me your tender kiss;
Steadfast hold your love.
Be more than a simple wish;
Let our moment come.
Be my love, my Adelaide,
If I should love at all.
Bid the sun,
To rise again,
When in love we fall.

Morning Spring

I wrote a piece for someone
My bluebird, whom I love
It's dedicated to her
She fits me like a glove
It took a while to write it
I had to think it through
And play around with sections
All while I thought of you
And when the last note sounded
I knew the piece was done
For in my heart resounded
The echo, she's the one

Dickinson Love - Or What the Dickens

I
If u loved, you may write sound poetry;
If u loved & lost, words add a higher degree
Of lonely beauty and crowded clarity
As was true of Dickinson, POET, Lady, my EMILY

II
Life and breath can yield great writing
Love and loss point to truth, reuniting
Where all are level, Scripture doth remind
Before this act, stage, LILA in Hindu mind

Suggestions

Read the poem, and the poet
Paint the roses, and the vase
Envy the role, and the actress
Enjoy the soup, and the dish.

Love the person, not the looks
Miss the kiss, not the lips
Ride the road, not the bike
Smell the ocean, not the fish.

Grow old, but stay calm
Write bold, but speak less
Dream often, but cry more
Hope big, but make one wish.

My Message To You

Before I lay me down tonight,
There's something I'd like to say.
I hope these words come out right,
And my message as bright as day.

I know you really did feel love's light,
And I apologize with this poem I write.

So it's best if I take flight,
Far from your heart and go away.
If I'm unforgiven, it's alright;
I pray you find hope instead of dismay.

Exclusively

I only want to play with you
I only want to write with you
I only want to read what you do
I only want to listen to what you do
I only want to do crosswords with you
I only want to drink the tea that you do
I only want to work on things with you
I only want to do everything with you
It's a dream I know may never come true
But what's not a dream is my love for you
