The green hill
under the clear water is a reflection,
yet nevertheless
my eyes climb up its watery image.
I imagine that even the hull
of this small boat
is also swimming upside down
beneath the lakes surface.
Here comes a fish eagle
casting a winged silhouette
between waves of sunlight.
Boat, hill and eagle
are all swimming,
except my form,
which seems to be
rowing the sky somewhere else.

An Elegy on the woman who once lived and loved the rain
Loveliest amongst all
She soared up the blank sky
Like a fish eagle to genesis
Unraveling the miles
With wisdom and fire
A young Ullyses of storm.
She beseech the Zeus
Wish rain to calm the world
To dance in the rain ritual
Her days were numbered
She lays in deep slumber
Dreaming the best adventures.
The rain will pour again
She’ll be the rainbow
To promise to start again.
When all wake up one day
Like the Rip Van Winkle
Will see you around with hope.

I am a soldier of my land,
a defender of the earth.
The heavens above as the,
showers to quench the soil.
But when it has been tamed,
the fish-eagle soars to the sky.
My spirit runs free here,
I am an African born.
A home to many people,
home to many a tongue.
The sweet scent of veld,
grass in the air.
The tang of a red soil on my,
tongue.
The majesty of the stinkwood,
as it basks in the African,
sun.
Calls me home,
yes it calls me home.

When you found love, you fly without wings
Upward, up into the sky I intended to fly
Innocent as I was, I became a victim
Gravity won't let me fly where eagles fly
Future was crystal clear
I could see the light towards the end of a dark tunnel
I was flying amongst big birds
Gravity kept on pulling me down
In an instant my status was out
My pathetic infected body, my new label
Humiliated as I was, I stood up to my label
Strong as I was, gravity pulled me down
I did not want to give up to my misery
Positive I had to be for my unborn baby
High above limits, I yearned to dwell
Gravity overpowered my intellect ability
Streets became my new home
Down and out, drowning to my own tears
Empty as a tin wide open, except my baby inside me
I had to push against gravity
Believe it or not
Gravity stings better than its rivals
Gravity has lost its animosity
Many rose above their positive status
H I V is about being positive
It has no gravity but inspire positive lifestyle
Like a fish eagle I had to snitch my life back
Happy ending is not an illusion
