Psychedelic illumination,
astral trips of a sober mind;
Finally natural comprehension,
gut instinct no longer maligned;

The beauty around you visible
upon ending a toxic slumber;
Ego death, you were so stable,
the Devil in an angel number;

No memory of what's right here,
now there's a firestorm in your head;
Stone cold ends neglect and fear;
You enjoy living when you're not lifted.

FURY OF THE FIRESTORM

as car handles melt and the fury of the firestorm
surrounds this frightened nurse
who thinks she’s dead
her husband metes out an order — “RUN!”
does he think of neatly lined streets of
parallel fire lines, cheering you on
but truth is much hotter
the earth is on fire
she runs as her shoes melt
climbs into a friend’s car
a butt sits and vinyl burns
the two pray and as smoke grabs
this car too she remembers her husband’s words
“RUN!”
she leaves this car too until she finds a fire truck
they take her in and cover her with a fire blanket
still she overhears no help is coming
but then it does
and the way is made clear for a turnaround
which brings a hero back to her hospital
selflessly she cares for others

God, where is thy hand?
Too many have died;
How many have cried,
Because of bloodshed?
Should man's innocence,
Be blessed,
With a death sentence?
I'm ready for the end,
Of needless punishment.

Firestorm

Fire, fire around us…

Fire burning from the top of the mountain,
 down to the sea surrounded by fire…

Grass, brush, and trees are just glowing ambers…

Fire fighters on the ground while water dropping
helicopter are all around, drawing up water from the
 sea, brought back to drop over the hot spots …

Here come the water tankers they are a blessing
between them and the helicopters we should soon see relief…

Such a shame what fire does, and it was that
idiot playing around, like to look at the flame dancing…

Water shred gone homes burnt to the ground
and yet that idiot is still running around…

What justice we should have to put these fools behind
bars, lock them up and throw away the key…

Firestorms are nothing you want to see, and when the
season gets hot and dry who are the nut cases that televise…

Newspaper and newscaster should learn a thing or
two keep there opinions to themselves for all they
do is let those idiots know when prime time to burn…

When property is lost you can rebuild but
 when a life is lost they are gone for good…

Firestorm

It started as a tiny spark
Once drawn too close to wayward matter
But soon became a swirling flame
Then rapidly, that flame did scatter

It seared each barren space between
Emptiness and life’s demands
It wasn’t long before the blaze
Was out of even watchful hands

It seared through time and reason
Purging appetites insatiable
Yet, it drove a deeper need
Creating want immeasurable

Nature's Firestorm

Bewildered and confused
A pair of frightened cow elk
Trapped in nature's firestorm
Where have all
The flowers gone

Firestorm

Shrapnel
flying
tear and rend,

Bones are breaking,
I don't bend,

shattered glasses
twisted beams,

I am splitting at the seams

I'm not made for stormy
weather.......
I can't hold this thing together,

Tape me up and grab the glue
I'll fall apart
all over you.

get the staple gun and nails,
quick,
before the hot wax fails

I'm not made for stormy
weather........
help me keep this thing
together.
