Summer is the most awaiting season
Reservoir of holidays and pleasure
Great time for us with its major reason-
To delight everyone beyond measure
Summer sun will shine gaily all day long
Inviting us to enjoy all outdoors
Paean of beckoning blue waves prolong
To declare beaches’ comforts and splendor
Fire tree flowers bloom and blaze with the sun
Golden showers, sunflowers raise high to brag
Wear straw hats on the field, play, twirl and run
Capture great moments with photos then tag
Bask in the bliss of summer’s provisions
Savor the air warmed with nature’s passions

Autumn
Magic floats
Umber orange -
Leaves of brilliance flutter autumnal fire
Autumn ponders flaming festival hues
Gathers bouquets -

Tree provides shelter and food to many.
Forest fires take all that good stuff away.
Animals lose their lives, in California, plenty.
Many animals and humans do not live to enjoy another day.
Smokey the Bear used to teach us in school.
To be more careful, do not set fires when the air is dry.
Be considerate, follow many a safety rule.
Sad that selfish people don’t care. Some do not even try.

We were having fun,
Dancing and laughing in the sun
When we stop to look back,
When our pasts smacked us on our backs
We split up in the woods,
And in every tree
Stood a memory,
One great one that breaks out our anger
We kept on looking out for danger
and we see a stranger
Looking at me and laughing at you,
The wind blew him to dust
And replaced stood a note and a rusted key
We saw the sea and a rabbit having tea,
I realized what these where
But then the hare couldn't stare at nothing more,
But you and me
A Fire tree wrapped around me,
I caught fire
But I didn't feel any hellfire,
Only to admire the flames
And to smile, while the tree turned to ashes,
While the flash of the past disappeared
And we were sent back to the present,
You didn't remember and I had to explain
While I couldn't contain,
All the secrets I had to keep
And I guess that's what happens when you look in the past...

Wind so cold.
Blowing.
Fondles my face.
Tickling.
The tears from heaven.
Pouring.
Tapping.
Dancing.
Unrelenting.
I wonder if i wish
to stop them
From numbness,
to waking,
then sensing.
The little voice in me says,
Wait, don't go.
Stay a little longer. I plead.
Sing for me today, rain.
With the gliding rhythm on my piano,
I'll play.
Chilly Wind, caress my bare skin
with the pure coldness that you bring.
Unusual,
like it's my first time in the snow.
Somehow,
the fire tree never fades in the picture.
The yellow sunkissed leaves, too.
What is it about Summer and Fall
that I can't forget?
Memories. Sweet imaginations.
The chilly rain. The misty wind.
You are here.
Freeze me with the sharp coldness you give.
Calm me. Maybe, comfort me.
And, if you leave
Will you visit me when summertime comes?
Before it gets too late
And again I fold.

A Christmas Tale
When a child we had small live candles on the Christmas tree;
the fire service had a busy night. Mum had a bucket of water
by the tree and kept an eye on it as we children forgot.
The tree caught fire; my uncle was there, but before mum
could douse it he opened up a window, threw out the tree.
Not a smart move the curtains caught fire too and he had to
throw the curtains out as well; mum was furious with him.
Uncle a genial man worked on the docks and tended to react
before thinking. Blinds burning in the snow, uncle brought
back the tree plus the unburned decorations. But gifts under
were saved. Uncle had to buy new drapes when the shops
opened. Next year electric candles came on the market, and
our fire service was less busy, but my uncle had died; a bag
of rice fell into the icy harbour water, he dived after it forgot
he couldn’t swim.
