A JULY 4TH REFLECTION: 2025
It’s July fourth,
And the POTUS seeks
Elimination
Of immigration
In America,
Although his parents
Immigrated here:
Father coming from
Hilter’s Germany
Which id the womb
Of the fascistic type
Of politics of
The POTUS today,
In his bigoted
Power mongering
Issuing of laws
That are so unjust;
And forcing Congress
To pass likewise laws
To ensure making
This land great again,
In its mockery
Of independence
And justice for all,
In this so-called land
Of democracy,
Built on land severed
From indigenous
Free occupancy;
How strange this must be
Following Juneteenth
And for descendants
Of who this land was:
Hey, it’s July fourth,
Independence day
In America;
Have a blessful day
In celebrating
In divine wisdom
And its clear guidance
In making this land
Again, the land of
The free, with justice
And equality
For all who live here
In God’s onederful
Oneness of onement:-

On his watch no attacks on Israel or Ukraine
Yet they say he has no ‘smarts’ or brains
The border was quieter, illegal immigration down
Though my Congressman called it ‘fascistic clampdown’
Taxes cut, the economy hummed right up to the pandemic
Vaccines enabled at warp-speed quelled the epidemic...
A difference clearly defined 'tween a woman and a man
which eludes so many Dems as they celebrate ‘trans’
Elites so uneasy when Trump shoots from the lip
as if they don't engage in brinksmanship
And for those who despise DJT for his sexual forays
Bill Clinton was no altar boy, nor was JFK...
The media promotes Trump Derangement Syndrome ~
We 'deplorables' want to protect our families and homes

Wild fires signify the world is burning
Pollution ravaging the seas show the tides not turning,
Pesticides pollute the air and earth and what makes it worse
Is it infiltrates our food supply and puts us all risk,
Yet still the multi nationals want to make it harder still to exist,
By fracking fuel that poisons the water tables and cause quakes
And those who cannot see this are not ing awake,
The planet is overheating as the ice caps melt
And sooner rather than later these effects will be felt,
And meanwhile man keeps driving animals into extinction
If some told about this years ago you would think it science fiction,
And if that’s not enough capitalist, right wing Fascistic governments
Are driving people into food banks causing more homeless people on the street,
So with the collapse of society, the environment and earth
We must start questioning will we get what we deserve,
A planet that we can’t live no longer on because of our destructive ways
The ferryman is coming soon and mankind is going to pay.

Resistance
When the German occupation of Norway ended
in April 1945, those who had willingly worked for
the occupation power was arrested.
Most of them were middle-class people and they
were sent to farms to do menial work.
(One has to add the farmers too was willing to sell
Their products to the enemy.)
Only a handful of Nazis were shot among them
Was Quisling and a few others.
There was no mass- shooting of the enemy and
the traitors, on the whole, it was rather a mild affair.
For the workers the new peace meant redundancy
as all construction works the occupants had undertaken
came to an abrupt halt.
I write this because there is in the national psyche
of the Norwegian to be a bit right-wing and haters
of foreigners especially those of Arabic heritage
Furthermore, Norway has never faced up to the past of a war
where only a few resisted.
The people with a fascistic mindset are in power today
It is sad but what can a sailor do?
The only exception is the merchant seamen
every ten of them died during the conflict, and when
they came home were told how lucky they had been
avoiding the war.

The Killing of Floyd
So, the policeman who Killed Floyd by pressing his
knee on his neck, the sentence was murder, but was it?
The police officer accidentally killed Floyd as he was trained to do.
The why police are learning their dubious craft has to come
into focus, the whole police department has to be scrutinized,
and the new “servants” of the people must be accentuated.
To concentrate on one man who is insensitive and stupid does
Not solve the problem of the American police.
First of all, the poorly trained officer must understand a gun
It is not for shooting people who are fleeing, but the weapon is a defence
Only used when attacked directly.
I cannot understand why a single police officer has to bear
The burden of guilt that is pervasive in the American society
is by its nature, overly fascistic and too dependent on the GUN.
The victory (political) can be a pyrrhic one if some people can disregard
Law and order.

The killing of a poet
There are many sorts of poets those who
extoll the sitting regime tell of order it has brought
their words are recited they win prizes but few, today remembers their names
Federico Lorca was not one of them.
He wrote the truth of the brutal fascistic nature of the state and what
it had become.
He was a man they had to kill.
He tried to flee but on a side road he was stopped by assassins, at the time
he was in the company of a one-armed priest a communist
They had to dig their own grave.
Since Lorca was gay, they shot him in the rear “you like this sort of things
they laughed, these cruel people were killing art.
They also shot him in the groin: squealed like a pig they later said.
This was a Spain of old but the ghost of fascism is still among us we have
To be vigilant.

THE TOLLING BELLS OF INJUSTICE
Today
injustice runs wild
where liberty once bloomed
sweet flowers of liberty.
Today
rogue life hawkers
like famished vampires
roam child filled streets
seeking desserts of red velvet
blood of sable fruit
to satisfy their fascistic appetite.
Today
we march to the sound
of the death bells of justice---
oblivious that once tolled
it cannot be undone:
Today
another strange fruit
has been nipped in the bud;
Today
the tongue
of the freedom bell
has been eviscerated.
