LIKE A FLOWER I WAS PLANTED
I’ve planted the flowers, in a single row;
Nursed them watered, fertilized them;
They’re spread ever so singularly..
Ever exuberate so beautifully
And as the water falls
And as the wind whispers
And as the sun shines in their eyes
God breeze a breathe into forms of clay
His image He leaves inside this
A shell builds so well
Man can’t duplicate
Alas… group grounds of His amazingness
I’ve planted the flowers, in a single row;
Nursed them watered, fertilized them;
They’re spread ever so singularly..
Ever exuberate so beautifully

There was a dancer in an old hall,
Who came everyday without fail,
She elegantly sway in the silence of it all,
Her dress ever flowing like a ship in sail,
A deep yearning exuberate from each step,
Such loneliness expressed in her spin,
At times, tears dripped after each fouette,
Leaving marks on floors dusted with rosin,
On a particular evening, a man came unknowingly,
Entered her domain, strangely exploring,
Excited, the dancer rush, sliding across the floor gracefully,
But onces she caught his gaze, his expression, appalling,
One, two step forward,
The man power slid across the floor,
His face turns blue as his knees rest awkward,
Bursting out through the main door,
A realisation came as the dancer stood by,
Watching as the man ran in the rain,
At that moment, she understood why,
Forever dancing away her endless pain.

The New Year
Tradition gives us Auld Lang Syne
Pursuing resolutions that are benign
We seek to supercede the past
For the next to be better than the last
The past is, "water-under-the-bridge"
Yesterday we can't change or abridge
Faults and failures could dominate
If we permit them to dictate
To error is human, we all know
Our true efforts, we may fail to show
Our intentions may be to exuberate
Yet failure has seemed to overtake
Let failures be a stepping stone
They are a medium for us to atone
Regard it as a second chance
Future endeavors it may enhance
Let us be vigilant of past mistakes
And set our goal on higher stakes
Strive to be tolerant of our fellowman
Their issues, to better understand
Each day God grants us, let us use
That opportunities, we don't refuse
Help us not to circumvent
So time He gives, may be well spent

I look from my deck at the spring garden
Violets wear the most beautiful gowns
Fit for any girl en route to the first prom
Daffodils below promise the gold storm...
Crocuses said good bye two weeks ago
I am ever thankful for their divine glow
But often you have to say a good bye
Though a beauty of a lily you can't deny.
Tulips - those are forever vain and merry
In suits of emerald, amber and boysenberry
Their beauty always takes my breath away
They will be with me through a perfect May...
Trees dressing up, weary of winter's rage
They are boastful of their newly found sage
Trees have a soul, they exuberate freedom
Nobody can attempt to rival their stardom.
And so - the spring fills my soul with joy
Divine spring - forever my Helen of Troy...
