Esc Que Vous Avez,
Le Pensez de Prend?!
Le Portrait, .... Vivaldi,
De Louvre, .... In Song?!
It's all so picture esc
Like a movie scene where everybodys dead
You're left there grasping on regret
With your will rotting like the corpse in your hands
Wishing that you could just sink into the sand
But your burning fading to ash
Now the grounds turned to glass
Dazed, staring into the skin of your reflections
Covered in bruises and contusions
That come to view like a lifted illusion
That were held down by your false solutions
Cracking the mirror won't change the reflection the pieces
Anger and hate increases
You lay there in a well of bloody tears
As beautiful as broken glass
Sit there tossing turning
Rolling in blood burning
You grew accustomed taste of death
Passing through your breath
Which only now you regret
It seems you weren't prepared for the brutality
Of your wicked reality
Trying to escape:
Hiding behind a keyboard
To spit troll-like words
Ode to the Computer Keyboard
By Elton Camp
It was on a manual typewriter that I learned to key
The keyboard’s function was obvious as could be
A computer keyboard, to me, isn’t the same way
For what some of the key do, I can’t possibly say
About half I comprehend of keys called F1 to F12
Into ESC, Scroll Lock, Pause, Break I don’t delve
Perhaps they do all kinds of absolutely great stuff
But for an old man like me, they are way too tough
ESC stands for “Escape” said the computer geek
If it escapes, then I guess he would have to seek
If I should see this useless key trying to get away
I’d just say, “It’s goodbye and good riddance today.”
So I know the understanding of my mind
Mad, twisted, and fogged with clutter
Tall sequoia trees, stacked tops in a forest
To all I seem normal, as a regular “guy” pores through mines
Deep within my skin however lies abnormality
From A’s ends to Z’s, but in between are scattered letters
Like Scrabble letters shaken about within the box
Dark I am not, bright not so either
A dimly lit dusty desk at dusk, I am
A mental tongue twister like the previous line, always
Da Vinci-esc I am, an abundance of unfinished dreams
Starting is virtuoso, finishing is inept
Miss me if you can
but it looks like you never have
this is me just being me
but I do understand the reasoning
It would be different
if I actually felt like we were friends
maybe it was my attitude
that kept you distant
but that's not how it started
I got even more bitter over the years
I found a place I can call my own
I just hope it doesn't end up like this
Then I'll know I'm a virus
A few months away and hidden in cover
I'll see how my greetings are
but for now I sit here writing and praying
just trying to survive
where's the delete button?
oh wait y'all already found it
