Fake Is Awake

FAKE IS AWAKE

Is nature becoming unnatural
Some may think it could be so
What words or images are real
Levers pulled to make one feel
As the metaverse will still grow
One almost needs an epidural

A.I is close to that singularity
As no-one knows what is true
And if left to its own devices
Brings us ever closer to a crisis
All accepting the current view
And will recognise no disparity

Whether political or academic
Arguments cannot be resolved
Big Brother is now the only way
Follow the programme for today
Even raw truth has now evolved
As fake news becomes endemic

Some may recall what nature was
Not just the land, oceans and sky
But also things we all understood
Not forced to accept it was good
Now, few care if you start to cry
Failing to meet the Wizard of Oz

High

harvest from the terrestrial
Mother Nature giving her best.
pastures green on the other side
Man's canal gift from Mother Earth

Get your thoughts in from books.
grinded, marshed in crucibles
seiving out the shaft, lest it chokes
wrapping into boluses, bit by bit

Light up the scenes in merry
sending shivers down the throat
popping out mystery mist
while wrapped round in cocoons

Glory, glory, celestials
levitating into the abode of enlightenment
seeing clear visions hidden in the fog
looking down on terrestrial beings as tiny ants

An epidural intake to calm the pain
until I'm lost in its mirage.
My status reading is "High."

A Season of Indigence

A SEASON OF INDIGENCE

This drought and curse
Of hand to mouth;
An unrepentant encroachment of pauperism
Impregnating our back country
Discern,
Our bigwigs in back country
Stand aloof
While,
Season after season
Millions of Pickneys
Flourish with kwashiokor
I,
A son of the soil,
A citizen of the world
Peruse no light
At the end of the tunnel
Jet age swarmed us with gusto,
An age when birds
Learned to flutter incessantly
Criss crossing the Atlantic and Pacific oceans
Ushering in a pretence
In social change
Only to abscond
With it's tail between it's legs
Information age,
Just stirred from it's slumber
It's lazy eyes struggling to adjust
To our flickering fluorescent
Hard drive here....flash drive there.....
Mouse click left....mouse click right....
Still,
I see no light
At the end of the tunnel
Robots are now delegating affairs
Our barns are empty
Our children famished
Poverty is now an opium of humanity
Alas,
Third trimester of harbor, now in labor,
The Surgeon's predigious epidural hype
Adjudged below the belt, still born!

Co-Dependent Love

Looking out the window
The skies look gloomy
Feeling empty inside
Screaming out in silence
Unhappy with this companion
Felt like I bare you in this world
Your presence feel like labor pains
Leaning on me, I need an epidural shot
Your complaining bring another contraction
Your conversation burn a hole in thoughts
Depending on me make me feel wanted
But, it's too late you think I'm your mother
You no longer look at me as your lady
I let this codependency go on to long
Pray you don't walk out on me
depend on me

Epidural Who Was a Girl Squirrel

Epidural Who Was a Girl Squirrel

Epidural was the name of a girl squirrel
Who up her tail always likes to curl
Even during periods when in between
You might see her looking real mean.

Some squirrels are actually calmer then others
Even though they may be sisters and brothers
Who on parents have developed a dependency
And they each end up with a similar tendency.

Instead of loan shark become an alone squirrel
Who doesn't like foolish cats who are often feral
Being fastest both are trying to determine
Can they become slowed down by too much vermin?

Each Godforsaken fool went their separate way
Discovering that not only crime but cats don't pay
Living at their own convenience and convention
Never paying any squirrels the slightest attention.

Also, need a category for squirrel.

Power Lines

The numbers were going up
    and hallowed men were no-
         more saints.

You find that your shirt
    was stained. Now fear creeps-
         under the skin.

You come near each other in-
    dark. Reverting yourself you talk
          to strangers.

Against the wall of water as
high as your ego. Epidural abscess-
            a silence of unknown.

Now, every hour you die. Light
     abducts the dreams. Nothing to-
            talk about the blitzkrieg.

A Soul Awakened

He lay there, unable to move
a vibrant young man, his mistake
going too fast on a wet greasy road
slipped slithered and crashed into a wall
His life was rugby, football all sports
forever keeping fit, had new girl
will she stay around, doesn’t want pity just love,
love of each others hearts

He has lain there for 6 months now
feels the inevitable twitch now and again
just muscles flexing themselves,
giving hope to the person without any, until that day
His surgeon came to him, “
There is a breakthrough, always an element of risk”
Without a second to think he answers
I am ready to take that chance

Epidural spinal cord stimulation and repeated motion training.
After a short time he can now stand for a few minutes
and move his toes.
His soul is awakened belief in prayer answered he smiles again
Hard work and hope will bring him through
The light at the end of the tunnel is now near.

Pain Killer

A city dies in me
anacephalic.
A white sheet spreads/
blinding.

You don’t feel the epidural.
Untitled, death walks/
like a whore/
contamination of inbreeding.

Recycled pain
hurts again. You want
to give a stillbirth
over the dense-packed nettle.

First birthday of a dream.

Black Hole

Will you walk with me
on the banks of a silent and invisible river?
Not paleowater eating the earth
but a collider, flowing in conscience.

One more dip with epidural
to stay away from awakening,
to start climbing on the burning tower
of truth.

Planting lethal swords in the hands
of earthlings. The essence of memory,
throws counter-questions. Strange happenings.
I am afraid of a black hole.

Epidural

Serious enough of a procedure
That I have to go through
Injecting me with steroids
Is what they’re going to do
They will shoot a needle
Into a disc in my spine
I will be awake for this
To let them know I’m fine
To make things go better
They use a live x-ray
Which helps overcome some of the obstacles
That is in the way
Who even knows if this will help me?
It possibly could make me worse
I’m praying that it lifts from me
My pain which is my curse
So, I hope to see better days
After this is done
To get back to the me I know
Free of pain and having fun
